    Sterio Hideout Brahms v Radiohead

by frannyts on 5/22/18Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

The electrifying and ground breaking work by Steve Hackman and his awesome orchestra and singers made my group of 15 all become instant fans! Do not miss his next show in the fall of Tchaikovsky and Drake at the gorgeous King's Theater. It will knock your socks off!!

Stereo Hideout and Steve Hackman rock the House

    by 112358 on 5/22/18Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Powerful blend of classical and current masterworks, plus new music by a multi-faceted musician/conductor/composer. Strong vocal performances. A 'must see' for anyone who loves music.

I tried to enjoy the show as much as I could. People trickling in late were really distracting. At other venues, they just don't allow admittance after a certain time. The performance was a success! The artist was able to seamlessly mix Radiohead's music with Brahm's symphony. It's a shame there are not more people in the audience who were respectful enough to sit through it or arrive on time. It was especially funny to find small children there who aren't old enough to appreciate let alone sit through a show like that. Why would you bring your kids to this kind of show?

    Dissapointed

by BKBrooklyn on 5/22/18Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

The idea for this concert was fantastic, unfortunately the execution was complete garbage. The majority of the first act was original content by the director that had nothing to do with Brahms/Radiohead. When they did play something that was as advertised, the female lead was so animated/distracting it took the show to a cheesy broadway vibe. Special guests, AKA college buddies of the director, came out and continued to baffle the audience to the point where everyone around us was snickering in bewilderment. A complete waste of time and money. The ONLY highlight of this concert was that it took place at Kings Theater, which is an immaculate venue that everyone should witness.

    Brilliant show!

by LDNY on 5/22/18Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Having never been to the Kings Theatre, I did not know what to expect and was more than pleasantly surprised - it is a stunning venue! The colors and motif are vibrant and beautiful. Stereo Hideout was incredible. Quality mash ups of the classic + modern nature are not easy to achieve but Steve Hackman composed a seamless experience for the audience. The orchestra was a joy to listen to, and the singers were very impressive, especially 1200! One critique is that the dispersion of sound could have been better. We sat in the mezzanine (4th row, center) and had a very different acoustic experience after we moved our seats (2nd row, left). We noticed there didn't seem to be and sound barriers at the back or sides of the stage, but its possible they simply weren't visible to the audience. When we sat in the seats on the left side, the instruments sounded as though they had more equality.

    Saccharine Stereo Hideout

by Anonymous on 5/22/18Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

The Kings Theatre is an amazing venue, with age-old grandeur & exceptional sound. Shame Stereo Hideout went so heavy with the syrup. My wife said it was like being in a movie soundtrack- unfortunately, rather than a dark, edgy Radiohead film, it was a Disney movie... great concept, missed opportunity
