Nothing Better than a Bar Concert

    by Bex212 on 11/8/11The Basement - Columbus

Seriously, a small-audience piano concert with a pretty chill atmosphere cannot be beat. (Contrast this concert with that of the Insane Clown Posse being held next door.. :/ ) The numbers were small enough that anyone in the audience had the feeling of being up close and personal, and afterward Jon Mclaughlin came out and mingled with the audience. It was great to see the cross-talent when the bands play numbers with each other.

    Amazing, as always

    by Jamie9356 on 11/4/11Lee's Palace - Toronto

The SK6ERS always put on an amazing show, and (I believe) their first in Canada was no exception. I am fortunate to be a part of their fan club, so was able to be backstage for a couple acoustic songs that were, as usual, stellar. I was interested to see how the crowd would be since the band hasn't played the city (country?) before, but the guys never fail to draw the audience in from the beginning. The venue and area are a little sketchy, but it all worked out ok. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out any (and every) time they might be near your city.

    Jon McLaughlin was Amazing!

    by Jeffrey911 on 10/30/11The Basement - Columbus

I've been wanting to see Jon McLaughlin for years and it was worth the wait. Such a cool venue, small and intimate. What an awesome way to see your favorite artist.

    Amazing croud connection.

by Aml123 on 10/21/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Was it the fact that they sang a song in the middle of the crowd? Or was it when Jon played the piano like I've never seen? It was just overall amazing.

    SK6ERS never disappoint!

by dukegirl1992 on 10/16/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

This was not your typical 6ers show. They just released their new.album, Gift Horse, on Tuesday, and Boston is basically coming home for them. They played old favorites as well as some new material that will become common requests. In short, great night. Jon McLaughlin was a pleasant surprise too. Excellent on the keys, very personal. Great night, intimate venue. Loved every minute.

So much love for the Sx6ers <3

by Anonymous on 10/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

A friend made a mix cd for me in the early summer with a handful of songs by Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers on it, and they quickly became my favorite tracks on the cd. It wasn't that difficult, then, for that same friend to talk me into going to their live show. In short, it was amazing. Their energy is infectious and they look like they're having so much fun, all without sacrificing their quality folksy-rock and roll sound. It was the best concert I have ever been to.

    Stephen Kellogg was on point

by padraig1894 on 10/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

The girl I went with had seen Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers before and wasn't entirely jazzed then. This time we stayed for all three encores and she walked out with a tshirt and a poster - a new SK6ers convert.

by BeanerTown on 10/15/11Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Could not have asked for more out of Jon M or Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. They blew me away. There's nothing better than seeing performers who truly appreciate their fans. SK did three encores...amazing!

    Classic Stephen Kellog

by Millhome on 2/14/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Another classic performance from Stephen Kellog and the Sixers. Despite the small crowd, the band gave the usual spirited effort. So professional. Can't understand why they aren't packin' them in. Stephen connects so well with the audience. Songs are great, and band is so tight. Can't wait to see them again!

The sixers put on the best show I've ever seen. Each time they bring energy and personality and the fact that they can all play many different instruments is amazing. They are true musicians.

SK6ERS are alway great live but when they play the Bowery it's incredible. It's great atmosphere and they seem like they're having so much fun that it's contagious. My friend and I have be going for the last 3 years when they play the Bowery after Thanksgiving, it's become something of a tradition for us. It's a great time and I would recomend it to anyone who wants to see a great show.

Amazing show, as always! Personally, I would have liked to hear more Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers music, and less Pearl Jam, but I understand why they performed some pearl jam. It was also slightly annoying that at the venue you could hear the base from music being played nextdoor, but the concert itself was fantastic!

    Amazing - never fails!

by Jamie9356 on 11/1/10Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

Hands down my favorite band to see live, and I do go to a LOT of concerts, big and small. SK6ERS are the most entertaining, down-to-earth and heart-felt group of guys to play together, I feel lucky every show I go to. This was a special Halloween show where the band dressed up like Pearl Jam to "open" the show and play the album "TEN" in its entirety before coming back later to play their own songs. The adaptations on the songs were great/hilarious/entertaining to say the least. As I'm in the fanclub, we got a pre-show acoustic set where it was announced that Stephen was having some serious issues with his vocal chords and since he would need to sing two complete sets that night, he'd have to forgo the extra songs. I completely understood and it was still great to hear the rest of the guys :) . If we wouldn't have known ahead of time, it would be really hard for someone to notice that there were any issues. Stephen sings with such heart and conviction, EVERY time sounds amazing. Obviously I am biased toward this band, but trust me, see them and you won't regret it!
