steel panther rocked.so come back soon was the best concert I ever seen.
I saw this band 3 times in just under 1 year, and they really bring it every time! You can't just listen boring radio songs after hearing them. Nobody measures up to the rock-solid drumming, unbelievable guitar work and amazing vocals (good bass playing and humor from Lexxy also!)!!! I drove as far as 5hrs to see them before and is was worth it! Everybody has to see them at least once (except my daughters)!
Steel Panther delivers again and again. Judging from the event layout there was not a bad seat in the house. Plus a little gambling beforehand at the casino. Great time had by all in my group.
This was the most fun I've ever had at a concert! Everything about it was great! Sound quality, volume, content, humor, crowd, venue, and I could go on. I recommend everyone see Steel Panther! I didn't want it to end!
What I love about these guys is that they are so talented musically and comedically. I grew up loving artists like Motley Crüe, Ratt, Poison, almost all 80s rock music. And these guys bring that all back! But, they add their own twist with their raunchy and hilarious lyrics. Honestly, I feel that Michael Starr has just as good or better voice than anyone out there...he sounds just as good live as he does recorded and musically they just rock! They seem to love what they are doing onstage. They seem so happy and passionate! Can't wait to see these guys again!
Steel Panther is a life altering experience. Your balls will never be the same.
Once again, Steel Panther put on a hell of a show. Always a great time seeing these guys play.
This is my 2nd Steel Panther show in the past year. Can't recommend it enough.
Music and comedy rolled into one. Steel Panther puts on a great show.
Steel Panther are as amazing as it gets for a great parody heavy metal band! I saw them live at the San Jose National Civic center when they were opening up for Judas Priest, I only came for them, not a huge fan of Judist Priest and I even purchased a VIP Package for a meet and greet with Steel Panther. I drove to see them all the way from Lake Tahoe which is a 4 hour drive and let me tell you it was worth all of the time and money in the world, they are truly a group of sweet amazingly talented guys that play kick a** music. I know all of their songs by heart so hearing and seeing them live was incredible, Michael Star has a great voice live and Satchel kills it on the guitar, and Lexi Foxx even had a hair solo which is basically as good as it gets am I right!? Stix was cool, no way was he not going to be, it doesn't get any better sound wise and musically then these guys. I cannot forget to mention that they are incredibly entertaining to watch there is not a dull moment between the jokes and them dancing and jumping on stage, Judas Priest was very boring in comparison, that's just my opinion after such a great and energizing and simply kick a** opening from Steel Panther. Basically what I'm saying here is you gotta hear and see them live, you won't live to regret it, and get VIP because these guys know how to make you loved :) they are truly great to their fans.
On Thursday night, for the 9th time in my life, I bowed at the altar of the Priest, THE JUDAS PRIEST! The Priest were back after saying they might not be back, and after the rocking performance they turned in I sure hope they come back again. The band played in the same arena they played on the last tour. I love this venue. It is used for smaller shows and minor league sports and is only 10 minutes from my house. Its new, clean, and always has free parking. I am glad I took my ear plugs b/c even though this is smaller venue, they didn’t turn down the volume. It would have killed what is left of my hearing. The Priest did give me something I had not seen before and that was the opening act Steel Panther. I have liked these guys for a while now, have all of their albums but have not seen them play. Despite the silly antics, crude humor, they were and excellent opening act. The guys really can jam. The songs are silly, but catchy and full of great hooks. Take every 80’s metal cliché and multiply it times 1000 and you have Steel Panther. Very talented guys. They kept making jokes though about the singer using backing tracks, and he was so spot on vocally I am wondering if it was true. I am so glad the opened b/c every time they have played a club in Dallas the tickets have been about $50 and that is more I really want to pay for these guys. They talk too much and its rather silly banter, of course, but they make for it with the playing. Then we waited for 30 minutes. War Pigs began. The Priest intro music started and then just like a the lord descending from the heavens, THE METAL GOD walked out from behind that curtain and the worshipers of heavy metal were blessed! I have to admit that my expectations had been lowered due to some of the YouTube clips I had watched, but the Priest were in fine form during this metal service. Halford was having a good night and the band was on fire! This was an excellent concert. I really like the new album and they played 4 new songs, but they could have gone 5 or 6 deep and I would have been happy. Aside from 4 standards at the end of the show the set list was fresh. I still do like “Leather” even if the motorcycle is overdone, but this tour unlike the last few Halford actually sang Breaking the Law instead of letting it be an audience sing-a-long. I could do without “midnight” and “another thing coming” but I know why they are in the set. The return of Jaw Breaker was nice, and though I am not a huge fan of Love Bites, I was glad to see it back for the first time in years. It settles in to a nice groove and the light show during this number was very cool. The biggest reaction of the show was for Turbo Lover, not sure why, but it’s a decent song. Besides who wouldn’t want the Metal God to hold them closer as he shifts to overdrive? The highlight of the show for me was Victim of Changes. Everything about the song on this night was perfect and it’s still running in my mind. The venue was about 2/3 full. My guess is maybe 3-4 thousand I took the cheapest seats b/c it’s a small venue. The midrange priced seats had many open pockets but I stayed back so I could get a more centered view and because it was so loud. The set and show has been scaled way back from the ones a decade ago. That’s fine. They do have some video screens. They were not used to show the band. I do have to say they video screens seemed a little low quality for a headlining act. They did put up neat images at times but at times the images and pictures weren’t too impressive. Again a wonderful show, Panther and Priest. I don’t know if the Priest plan to tour again, I can only hope that the Metal God resurrects and takes them back out of the road one more time. Steel Panther Set List: Pussy whipped Party like tomorrow is the end of the world Asian hooker Just like tiger woods Community property Eyes of a panther 17 girls in a row Glory hole Party all night Death to all but metal Judas Priest Set List: Dragonaut Metal gods Devils child Victim of changes Halls of Valhalla Love bites March of the damned Turbo lover Redeemer of souls Beyond the realms of death Jawbreaker Breaking the law Hell bent for leather You’ve got another thing coming Living after midnight Defenders of the faith
2nd time seeing Steel Panther and they havent disappointed yet! they are true entertainers that love what they do and it shows!!! FEEL THE STEEL FELLOW FANTHERS!
The show started at 7:30 right on the dot just like the ticket said. The reason why the first show of the tour in NY was delayed was because the promoter asked them to go on later. overall this show was amazing and both bands were on fire.
They were two hours late in starting that I almost gave up seeing Judas Priest just so I could leave. When they did come on they were terrible! Raunchy, no talent and talked for most of the time and it was the f word every other time. 2 hours late and had to sit through a hour of them! They are just a bunch of motley crue/ poison wanna be's. Hated every minute they were on stage. Thank goodness priest more than made up for it. They should have them kicked off the bill. If you cant show up on time then don't hire them!
Great show! Love the 80's look that the band has and love the girls from the crowd that go up on stage and flash.
Steel Panther was awesome, as always!! Funny, raunchy and loud! The band looks and sounds great! The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I would have loved to sit down at some point during the show but with no seats on the floor, was forced to stand for 3 hours.
They were really good. Not as much talking, more playing, which I like. New album is good, 1st lp is better. If you haven't scene them before, GO, GO, GO. They are fun and talk about hooks/licks. They are and were great
the band was wicked cool, the atmosphere was amazing, and so many nipples!
Steel Panther always puts on a great show!! Would see them in concert anytime!
Can wait to do it again! Steel Panther was amazing!!!!!
