Great place to watch a ball game & not bad quality ball. Trip from Jersey was not too bad and relatively easy. Plan to visit again soon!
My six friends and I (in our 20's) went to a game for my birthday and had a great time. It was reasonably priced and although it was very family oriented it still appealed to all ages!
It's a beautiful ball park. Fan friendly with a lot of events between innings. The prices at the concession stands. Its' a short walk (5 minutes) from the ferry, and there are plenty of places to hangout at before, or after, the game. It's SAFE. the police precinct is across the street. Really great fans!
The Yankees win. Fireworks after the game and great seats. It got really foggy and started to rain towards the end but a great game.
We really enjoyed the game . We had good seats and got free stuff. I would attend more games.
I always have a nice time at the Richmond County Ballpark seeing the S I Yankees play! The seats were great and you can't beat the price.
If you have kids who love baseball it is worth the trip to Staten Island to see the SI Yankees. The stadium is small so a majority of the seats are field level. In between innings the staff does activities like races involving the kids. Before the game kids can meet the players and get autographs. There is a play area with games etc. The food and drink is good and fair priced. For the price of one ticket at the real Yankee stadium, you can take a family of four to the SI Yankees. The ferry ride is also fun and the stadium is a short safe walk from the SI ferry. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the night games run late and there is limited ferry service, you may miss the end of the game to make a ferry.
This was the 1st time I went to a Staten Island Yankees game and let me just say it was sooooooo much fun!!! My husband & I wanted to do something different and we picked this. Well our seats were AWESOME!!!!!!!!! As soon as I came back home, I went online again and purchase 2 more games :) I can't wait to go back!
Although the game started late because of rain, we were never bored. Entertainment throughout the time we were there. Also, the best view in baseball, since you are looking at the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty while sitting in the stands! Snacks, beer, food is cheap compared to major ball parks and it is very accessible (free ride on Staten Island Ferry) from Manhattan. All-in-all, very good wholesome fun for the whole family.
AS IT IS GETTING HARDER AND MORE EXPENSIVE TO BRING YOUR FAMILY TO SEE A MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM THIS IS A GREAT OPTION.THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE GET THERE EARLY AND GET A FEW AUTOGRAPHS FROM FUTURE STARS BEFORE THEY GO UNDER CONTRACT AND ARE TOLD THEY CAN NOT GIVE AUTOTGRAPHS . SO I WOULD DEFINATLEY GET DOWN TO THE BALLPARK AND HAVE A GREAT TIME! DONT FORGET THERE IS NOT A BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE.
These boys of summer were no bummer bringing home victory with the spirit and drive of real winners. The young men, just out of college or fresh from baseball hothouses like the Domincan Republic played the game the way it's supposed to be played, giving it their all on every pitch. Aberdeen got their commanding lead playing longball, but in the bottom of the ninth, down 7-3 in the 8th, the Yankees roared to a walk off 8-7 win, and the crowd cheered. With a great stadium and a great view, we had great weather that was topped off by a great game.
family & team basketball cyo group had fun & enjoyed the stadium & game
great ballpark, especially from seats behind homeplate; fun time with inter-innings entertainment; easy to get to: free si ferry!
Game was kind of boring but the yanks won , the ballpark is what it is.its clean and seems well ran. I'd go back, the food was nice .. the people working there seemed to enjoy being there... didn't expect much but the ballpark is right near the water with the city in sight and the statue of liberty .. and boats going by the park .. fun times.
A nice day at a ballpark & at a fraction of the price for Yankee Stadium or Citifield
The Staten Island Yankees game was great. They kept the fans in the game the whole time. I can't wait to go to the next game. Fireworks after the game were pretty cool.
The game was very exciting. The ballpark is beautiful. Any seat is great. They put on shows for the kids in between innings. The ballpark has an entertainment center of balloon rides for kids if they get bored of sitting. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I went with a 2 year old, and while he did not sit the entire time, he was entertained for most of the time. I was amazed to see lots of other toddlers at the stadium. Definitely fun for both kids and adults.
Having fun in the sun, watching baseball and having the NYC skyline in the background - what more could you ask of one lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon? That the team would win? Well, yes they did. This is a great way to introduce younger children to baseball. The stadium is comfortable and pleasing and one of the best little extras is that they allow the children to run the bases after the game.
There are no bad seats. View of the harbor and NY skyline incomparable. But avoid seats at or near field level if you want the views, as well as the game.
