Seats were great - much older crowd with an average age of about 60. Mickey Thomas sounded as strong as ever - belting out the classics such as Jane, We Built This City, Stranger, Sara, & Find Your Way Back. The set was mostly recognizable charted material with the absence of No Way Out. Cian Coey (Grace Slick replacement #3) was vocally strong and seemingly enjoying her stage time over her previous Raiding The Rock Vault gig in Las Vegas. The band was flawless and hit every note of every song. Thomas had some interesting dialogue between hits, citing his golf memories with Cleveland DJ Legend, Kid Leo amongst other dandies. The dip back into time - a Jefferson Starship medley comprised of White Rabbit and Somebody to Love, followed up by the Elvin Bishop Band hit Fooled Around & Fell In Love in its entirety brought the crowd to its feet with thundering applause. The concert was more than I expected as the sound quality was phenomenal, the vocals were still razor sharp, and the band all seemed to have fun - each smiling authentically throughout the concert. I would suggest checking Starship out if you are on the fence - no one left disappointed.
