I was disappointed that after a 2-hour wait, my pre-purchased ticket required me to go into another line. I bought the ticket in advance because it was advertised that this would save time. The opposite was true and required yet another line. Insult to the matter, was I paid a handling charge! Next year pay at the gate, save the few dollars for handling fees and save yourself the additional line.
The ride through was OK at best. Its 20$ per car, which i guess if you have kids or something its worth it, but this was just me and my hubby looking for something romantic for xmas. The "mistletoe village" was literally just a petting zoo and a cart for hot chocolate. The ride through for the lights was not very long at all and there was a ton of huge gaps in the lights to get from one section to another. When we saw the sign for "...and to all a goodnight" we were left with an extremely underwhelming sensation of "thats it??"
This was a first visit for me. My family and I loved it!! The Santa there was amazing. My nephew usually screams and crys in Santa's presence, not this time. Santa was very patient and warm with the kids.
We love to go to Starry Nights each year! The light show is great and we love seeing Santa and the petting zoo at Mistletoe Village!
A great fun event. Loved it and the kids did too. Will be going here again.
Fantastic evening, especially when with kids. We spent a huge amount of time in the petting area...again.
I have attended Starry nights every year since it started first with Mifa and now with the Park. This year was disappointing at best. I always prepurchase tickets and enter the back gate. There was no benefit to that this year. We waited 45 minutes to come in the prepaid entrance. We probably could have gone through twice coming from Walnut Grove. They allowed one car at a time from the prepaid. The lights themselves very pretty. It was done on a much smaller scale than in the past. It could be a volunteer issue. It could be a sponsor issue. It seemed about 50% smaller than it has been previously.
my family and I were very excited to go and enjoy the Lights but were sorely disappointed. There were mostly boring deep sea life...nothing to put you in the holiday spirit. We won’t bother going back.
MV was a much better set up last year, in the middle of the show. There wasn't as much stuff to do. No artist performing, no snow machine,no small shops to buy from.
This years display was the shortest that I have seen over the years. It wasn’t worth the money, and I probably won’t go back next year unless they extend it some.
Everything from pictures with Santa, carriage rides, and the traffic was poor
I like all that they've added like the carriage rides and hay rides and animal area.
Hate to be a Debbie Downer but unfortunately I had driven through a light show in Nashville last Christmas that was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! I was hoping Starry Nights, which I had never driven through, would be equal to or top the one in Nashville because I'm sick of hearing my brother-in-law say how much bigger and better things are in Nashville....however, in this case he would have been correct.....it was weak in comparison and I won't be going back. That's not to say I don't appreciate and applaud those involved in putting the event together as I know it is a lot of work....so thank you. But you may want to contact the organization in Nashville to make improvements here.....I love to see Memphis SHINE!!!
This was my family first time at Starry Night; and we had a great time. I purchased the tickets online so we would not have to wait in that very, very long line; best idea ever!! Once we found the right area we was in without any problems. Just a few pointers: They need to include more signs to access the Online ticket purchase area, we passed right by it. It was dark as well, so not very fun. Also might want to add some fake houses with lights, the areas with nothing going on was very dark. But overall we really enjoyed ourselves!! And we might just go again next year!
I saw Starry Nights as a kid, and then brought my daughter. She was very impressed!
brought the prepurchased tickets for the vip access to this event....really only good for the fast way to enter...was not given any special things after that....the lights were nice this year(2nd year we done this) if you have a big truck or car this is the way to go for the $20.00 admission fee...
This is my family's favorite holiday tradition! We try to go any and every year if we can!
Took 45 minutes in traffic just to get in. No VIP entrance as advertised on website if you pre purchase tickets. Once in it was nice but not worth the wait. The Christmas village was nice
It's a family tradition for us. We loved it. Lots of new sponsors ( more lights).
