So thankful to of been able to be here to enjoy this. Wonderfully done from start to finish.
What a wonderful concert seeing the Grand Rapids Symphony playing Stardew Valley songs with a full orchestra. It was beautiful. Didnt know what to expect. Buying tickets was so easy. Then parking was great. Then scanning ticket on phone for admission was very quick and painless. Staff was very curteous and amazing really Thanks to everyone for making this night wonderful for my grand daughter and I
My brother and I went together and we had an amazing time! The music from the symphony was stunning and I loved hearing it played live. The music already has a special place in my heart from loving this game for years, but this made it even better. The music was paired with visuals from the game, so you felt immersed in the game, even from the seats we had at the back of the venue. I appreciated that the conductor said they love when people "ooh and ahh"and participate in the show. It felt so much more fun that way because it reaffirmed the love that everyone in the audience has for the game. This is my all time favorite game, so it felt like a great way to appreciate the game even more. I would definitely recommend this experience!
This was absolutely an amazing concert to attend. If you love Stardew Valley, I would highly recommend not missing this one!
The conductor was so endearing and the music was amazing! I wasn’t expecting a screen that’s synced to the music.
The symphony was amazing! It was more than what I would have expected. It was so great to hear my partner and mine’s favorite video game come to life. The conductor was a great entertainer and all the musicians were so talented. We were so happy to see images (recreated and not) on the screen above with corresponding flashing colors on the stage. Two highlights that we both enjoyed were the recreation of the forest spell scene with the pine trees and the Mermaid Show. It was all so fantastic- the only thing that would have made it better would be to see/speak with ConcernedApe himself. But he gave us a lovely video too. It was all so great, and we will definitely be looking out to attend another.
My only negative is no subtitles on the screen during character dialogue scenes, like in the game. My brother and I were able to understand what was going on because we're huge fans of the game and have many save files, but our parents were in the dark about the stories in Stardew. Other than that, the music was phenomenal, the animations for ambiance were beautiful, and the conductor for our symphony was so much fun because he's also played the game. I immediately wanted to re-listen/re-watch the concert when it ended.
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
The Symphony of Seasons tour was wonderful and you can tell the staff really listened to last year's critiques. This year had amazing visuals, that really added to the Stardew Valley experience—and the U.S. director and orchestra had the most perfect performance. I would even consider going again. If you're a Stardew Valley fan, absolutely go to this concert. Seeing so many fans in one place is heart warming. If you do go, though, get to the venue early for merch, as it does sell out!
