About

STAIND IN CONCERT:

With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade.  Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."

"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."

"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."

    Poor Audio Set-Up

by JP on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

We went to the 93X show in St. Paul, MN on 5/4/2024 that showcased Dayseeker, Asking Alexandria, I Prevail, and Staind. The first 3 bands were fantastic, audio was tuned appropriately and the presentation was great. When Staind took the stage it was shocking how off their audio sounded. The audio was incredibly high pitched and unpleasant to hear. We ended up leaving the show during their 6th song as we were getting a headache from the issues. Wish we could've seen them with a proper audio set-up like the other 3 acts.

    Three amazing bands.... and Staind.

by Blindkarevik on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

Full disclosure, Dayseeker was my entire reason for coming and they absolutely killed it! Asking Alexandria was fantastic, and I Prevail crushed it even with one man down. Staind was an utter disappointment. I'm glad some people enjoyed them, but I'm so far past over them, they've become irrelevant.

It was great! Then staind came on...

by Shackerman on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

I was there for I Prevail. They had an amazing set. Looking forward to seeing them headline. I think most people feel the same way cause the crowd was 30% smaller when staind. I just don't see how staind fit in with the rest of the music that was played that night. Poor 93x is in its death throws trying to gain listeners but ever since clear channel media has been buying every local station in the county the quality has tanked.

    Not a great experience

by Am on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

Staind was phenomenal. I don’t know if it was the venue or our seats but the other 3 artists sounded terrible. The speakers almost sounded blown and you couldn’t understand anything. It was truly a bummer as I was so excited to see two of my all time favorite artists.

    Good Show

by Capt Howdy on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

Asking Alexandria was awesome and passionate. I Prevail which I was pumped about seeing put on a good show but missing half the vocals leaves the show incomplete. Stained performed flawlessly. that being said, not sure the passion is there with the group. Having never seen them live before, I am used to the lead singer selling the band. That simply did not happen. The songs were sang and performed perfectly but I felt like something was missing. It also was short.

Great music but sound issues with venue

by Marie on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

I was disappointed with the sound at the venue. I was able to sit in two different areas and neither had clear sound making it difficult to hear the singer and enjoy the concert. I highly discourage club level seats.

    Lacking

by Sam on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

I love Staind's music, so I was excited to seem them perform. Well first, the sound system wasn't what it could be. It was too loud with too much feedback, and there was this really high pitch noise coming from the speakers that made my fiancé and I leave after 3 songs. But that was on the Xcel Center. The band though, I was really disappointed in. The singer just stayed at the mic the whole time. Barely any movement, they didn't interact with the crowd at all. The one guitarist tried everything to make the show enjoyable, but it seemed like the singer just didn't want to be there. Really disappointed with Aaron Lewis...

    Staind

by Mickey on 5/7/24Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

The venue is always good. The music was amazing. $9.00 for a bottle of water was really insane. That was the disappointing part

An odd but great line up

by HourglassSmile on 5/6/24Fiserv Forum - Milwaukee

What a show! I do enjoy several genres of music so I am adaptable. I feel like some (younger) audiences came for the first two bands which were more energetic and hard than Staind, the Headliner and left far too early. Aaron Lewis has one of the most amazing voices in music and I could listen to him every day for 25 years…wait, I have! Had I been the organizer, I may have chosen two other bands to highlight the target Stained audience. However, I do like the introduction to new types of bands out of the Stained w(eel house, so all things considered I feel like everyone attending was satisfied. My only negative thought is the beverage costs. Whoa. The Fiserv Forum has the highest prices I’ve ever paid. I expect to pay more at a concert venue but $33 for two Nutrl seltzers is just gross. I normally drink vodka but $16.00 single or $22+ double is a bridge too far. Remember, this is WI. NOT NY or LA.

    Awful sound

by Hil on 5/6/24The Santander Arena - Reading

After 35 minutes of waiting and no sound check, Staind came out with the worst sound quality I've heard at a concert since 2004. There was no stage presence and the band obviously hoped their special effects would carry them. Despite the special effects, they were not sufficient to tolerate the garbled, blaring, out-of-tune sound system....we left after 3 songs. Seether and St Asonia were worth the money. Staind was not.

    Great Time! Little Loud

by ThatMetalGuy on 5/6/24Fiserv Forum - Milwaukee

I’ve been to many concerts of all types of genres ranging from country to metal. Staind put on an awesome show! I think they just had the speakers up just a tad too high.

    Hogfest

by Joel on 5/6/24Fiserv Forum - Milwaukee

Dayseeker, Asking Alexandria, and I prevail were great, don’t really think staind should’ve been the headliner, maybe the opener
