  • Inched my way through dead dreams to another land!

Was a very grateful night with family & friends to dance and groove the night away. Butchy and the gang tore it up and rocked our souls. New friendships were made, new realms reached and new horizons set in the land of the good ol' Grateful Dead...makes one grateful for the music and to be alive to celebrate it. I twirled and span and spun some more and I never fell to the floor. Love this band! They're like Jehovas favorite choir! There were fireworks, clowns (namely me) and strangers stopping stranger just to shake their hands. Everyone played that night, in the heart of gold band!

Not only is Splintered Sunlight one of the best Grateful Dead Cover/Tribute bands (and I am including DSO in this list), but the 8X10 is a great place to see them...the people know them very well there and are willing to do what it takes to go psychedelic. The band is truly "beyond description" led by one of the only other asians I know of who is REALLY INTO THE DEAD. It is actually very scary how much he sounds like Jerry , both in voice and guitar method. If you have not caught these guys yet, and you are a deadhead, then I strongly reccommend you see a show - it is worth any road trip you need to take (I follow these guys and they play Philly to Maryland and I live in New York, so I am usually travelling 3 or so hours to see them...they know me as the guy from New York. --PEACE "They're a band beyond description, like Jehova's favortie choir - People joining hand-in-hand, while the music plays the band...LORD THEY'RE SETTING US ON FIRE!"
