    Witty and smart

by Miguel on 3/22/22Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center - Ft Lauderdale

The cast was perfect and musical arrangement by the pianist was tops. This is a witty humor performance that is enjoyable for all. Particularly if you are familiar with Broadway plays, you will get a lot more from the puns and songs that are scattered throughout. I really enjoyed this show and cast/music was amazing.

    Funny

by Faith F. on 3/8/22Scherr Forum- B of A Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks - Thousand Oaks

Had a good time laughing. Performers were good at what they’re doing…including the pianist. I wasn’t going to go thinking it’s be too silly, but then changed my mind at the last minute, which I didn’t regret.

    Spamilton funny and impressive

by N. L. on 2/2/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

The actors were incredible singers and great comedic timing. Funny script. Great parody of Hamilton musical and the original broadway actors. If you loved Hamilton and are ready to laugh at the hamilton experience, give Spamilton a try. It’s funny and impressive.

    If Not for a Deal

by L. O. on 1/29/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Our performance was at the Empire theater, a small theater in San Antonio Texas. The venue was great the staff were very polite and professional. The show itself, Spamalot, was ONLY mildly entertaining. Thankfully it was very short. We only attended this production because of a very special promotion\deal. We got two tickets for less-than the price that you would normally pay for one . Had we had to pay regular Broadway touring rates we would have been very very displeased & upset. If you have not seen Hamilton AND you do not know any of the background of its creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda DON’T GO! We thought this performance would be a parody of the musical Hamilton, IT’S NOT. It focuses mostly on the creator and the current state of Broadway using ONLY the music and period / time place from the original musical.

Really great if you saw Hamilton

by Kangaroo on 1/28/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

We sat in the front row, better to sit at least a few rows back. The singers were super good, definitely broadway caliber. They basically re-wrote many of the songs from Hamilton with fun lyrics that poke fun at Lin Manuel Miranda or Broadway itself, or some other Broadway shows. While you didn’t have to see Hamilton, you at least need to know who Lin Manuel Miranda is. No intermission, just one full hour of a huge smile on my face and some LOLs. It was great! Wish there would’ve been more people, the place was half empty.

    Need to know

by Confused husband on 1/26/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Unless you are a huge musical fan you will be lost. My wife made me go with her and this was 80 minutes of pure confusion. It was like everyone was in on the joke but me. If you are forced to go do your research so you can laugh at the right times.

    So Fun!

by E. G. on 1/23/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

This fast paced show was not at all what I expected - and that's a good thing! It was a ton of fun, even if you aren't intimately familiar with Hamilton if you have a good knowledge of Broadway shows you'll still spend an enjoyable hour with this very talented cast!

    Don't Miss Your Shot

by MistyBlue on 1/22/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Our showing was at a lower capacity & all throughout the show, I kept thinking, "How could people miss this shot?" From the superb casting to the music & dancing, it was a musical of phenomenal wit & we were either laughing or tapping our feet the whole way through. Highly recommended to those who know the history of Broadway, Hamilton musical, &/or the story of Lin-Manuel Miranda.

    So much fun!

by Chandmcd on 1/21/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Makes a little fun of Hamilton, a little fun of Broadway and a lot of fun of LMM -- but all with love. Great performers, fun lyrics and very creative. If you can't spent the afternoon or evening at Hamilton, go for Spamilton. It's worth it!

    Funniest thing I've ever seen

by D. A. on 1/21/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Having seen Hamilton twice and listening to the soundtrack almost daily, we knew we had to see this when it came to San Antonio (5 hours round-trip). Everything was wonderful, especially if you have a decent grasp on Broadway shows. There is just too much to list in a short review. Suffice it to say that my face was hurting from all the laughter. It is still in San Antonio and if our schedule allows, we are going to try for a day trip to see it again this weekend.

Really not what we expected but was hilarious.

by RT on 1/21/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

We expected more details related to the show it was spoofing but were presently surprised and loved the show. The comedy is great and the tunes were all recognized from the show. The king/queen was particularly funny and very much not expected. I highly recommend it.

amazing, colossal, stupendous, not too bad

by T Jeffers on 1/21/20Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Just the right balance of seriously impressive and not taking itself too seriously. The writing is very clever, the jabs at all of Broadway were fun without being mean-spirited, but most of all the performers were magnificently talented and a joy to watch and hear, all with excellent timing and amazing voices. All in all, a fun ride.
