    RAT PACK AND BALLET

by CONNIE on 11/29/21Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Rat Pack mediocre....ballet lovely....rat pack not in sinc with music.....a live band would hve greatly enhanced the performace....the ballet demonstrated intense preparation and was wonderful....the 2 venues had nothing in common.....why rat pack with children's ballet?....the audience was there for the ballet...

    Great show!

by lneufeld on 11/29/21Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

My husband loved the Rat Pack and we both loved Peter and the Wolf. The ballet is a very creative approach to the story which was delightful. It was wonderful to see so many children happily involved.

    Beyond Awful Experience!!!

by KS on 11/29/21Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

My friend and I paid $55 each for these tickets. It was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Act 1 “the rat pack” was totally ridiculous. The guy who played Sammy Davis Jr was not a good singer and it was boring. But how could the theatre have the nerve to charge the public for Act 2 which was a bad dancing school recital with first year students? ( obviously the audience was made up of parents but it wasn’t advertised as such) I was shocked and appalled and will never purchase tickets for anything at that theatre again.

    The shows were beautiful.

by Saleema on 11/29/21Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The songs were representative of their times and banter was fun. Ella's outfit was dazzling. The play at the end was well acted out, and the children did wonderfully. Overall a great night. Thanks!

    The Rat Pack is back!!!

by Las Vegas Magazine on 10/22/21

If you want to see and hear the best Rat Pack review in the country, you have to see these fellas! These voices (Jeff Grainger) Frank, (Sean Patrick Kennedy) Dean are the best I've heard since the albums, and (Dezhon Fields) Sammy Davis Jr is so spot on, you'd think Mr Bojangles was back from the grave! Wonderful!

    South Florida Ballet & Theater

    by TheaterFan on 8/26/19

Loved SFBT's Sleeping Beauty as well as Peter and the Wolf! World famous dancers out of NYC and stellar dancers from Miami! Lynda DeChane is a LEGENDARY dancer and teacher! I just learned they're doing Musical Theater as well now! Can't wait to see this James Bond review. Professional singers like Sean Patrick Kennedy, Honey Cuddles, Krystal Arvelo.. Wow! Songs by Adele, Sam Smith, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey... This is going to be crazy good fun!

    Sleeping Beauty Gala

by CindyEllen on 11/29/17Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

This was not the Sleeping Beauty show I purchased tickets for. Act 1 was a tribute to Dean Martin and some random ballet performances having nothing to do with Sleeping Beauty. Act II was Aurora's wedding reception (Act III of Sleeping Beauty). I am retired & have limited funds. Once a year I splurge & take my granddaughter to one of your productions. With the ticket price, valet parking (I'm disabled.) & tip, 2 bottles of water & a bag of chips ($11), it is a big expense for me. As I said, the show was not as advertised & we were both very disappointed. How do I get my money back? Reply to the e-mail you sent this to.

    Sleeping beauty

I would’ve preferred the Moscow or Joffrey ballet company

Original schedule date for The Beauty and the Beast had to be postponed due to hurricane, but still expected to see same show. Nope, they had what seemed to be local girls, who for the most part did their best, but there were no costumes nor any reference to The Beauty and the Beast. Very dissappointed.

    Just ok

by Busymommy2 on 11/28/17Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The theater was more than half empty at 2:00 pm performance. Ballet was good, however not sure why they needed to have opening act a guy to sing Christmas songs, kids didn’t get it. Lastly one of the main ballerinas had “that time of the month” issue and I was not ready to discuss with my 3 and 5 year-old this subject, but I had to because kids noticed too. Overall good enough for the price.
