Fun with Room for Improvement

I hardly waited in line, so going through security and getting into the event was quick and easy. We took pictures and got some alcohol (for which we were actually overcharged the first time visiting the bar -- second bartender made up for it by giving us a "free" drink), then we went up to the balcony to find our seats. Ladies, this is not a concert -- its a club event. Do not buy balcony seats lol. On the bright-side, anyone with balcony seats was welcome to also go down to the main floor to party.. which we did. We spent hardly any time up on the balcony at all. The music was okay... there was a weird mix of reggaeton and ... randomness. Seriously the Jonas Brothers was played once but I think I was too confused to throw a fit about it. Know your audience, DJs.. Jonas Brothers is not Atlanta Material. I will also say that the first DJ was a little dry. Every now and then she would just yell "Atlanta where you at?" into the microphone to hype up the crowd when things got a bit dim. She must've yelled that same phrase like 20 times and I am not being dramatic. My role here isn't to complain though, I understand that experiences are really what you make of them. I expected pricey drinks and songs that I wouldn't like/know. Overall I had a great time dancing with my friends and other kind lady-strangers. I enjoyed the all-girls feel HOWEVER the workers (bartenders, security, ticketing) were overwhelmingly men. I'd go to this event again if it came back into town, but I would hope we'd have a major DJ upgrade and a slight price reduction going on by then. 3/5 stars.
