Sonny Landreth Tickets

Out of this world fun tunes and so so happy any time I visit Antone’s. And especially when Louisiana legends are performing! Sonny’s first set acoustic was brilliant, followed by electric! CC, Curley & crew were such fun!! Beats & rhythms — yeah!!!

This was a terrific show. The first half was an acoustic show, with a folk/country feel to it. Then after a very short break, the band came out with a total rock show! Sonny is awesome!

From B-town to Belize back to Birchmere...Jimmy Thackeray's opening set was like finding a pool of Ice Tea in the desert and I needed it. Sonny Landreth was a sonic brigade and his intense and intelligent attack had nice Cajun tones that sounded like horns hidden in his amp. The most special part of this great performance was when the two different players got together on stage and complimented each others styles to really create musical magic. Jimmy took some time to talk to fans and sign CD's afterwards in which Jimmy's sentiment to me was keep practicing! Amen to that.

Sonny Landreth absolutely gets 5 stars because he is by far one of the best, if not the best, slide guitarist I've ever seen. He deserves all the accolades he receives from the likes of Eric Clapton and so many others!

The mix for Sonny Landreth was less than average.That took too much away from hearing one of the better slide guitar players out there.In my humble opinion,Jimmy Thackery stole the show with his set.He presented a varied set that showed his abilities both as a player and vocalist.

Sonny Landreth is incredible and I've always been an appreciative fan. That said, this was way too loud for the room which made it less enjoyable. Would gladly go see him again, but not in that room which is a good room for most artists.

I'm no guitar player but Sonny still leaves me in shock after every performance. Guy behind me as we were leaving the concert said he's been playing for thirty years and "that's just not legal". He's an ultra talented man and for the likes of me I can't figure out why he doesn't have a bigger following. He met with the audience after the concert, I thought that was a nice touch (true it helped with merch sales but not many name acts will do that). Just shows what kind of person he is. Can't wait for him to come to the Western NY area again.

Unique experience. Such a live concert for about 300 spectators, Sonny Landreth performance was great and Geoff play on high Level. It will be nice to have them in Montreux in the next Futur.

This was the first time I had seen Sonny. In the beginning, I thought it was pretty one dimensional - and it is - but as Sonny continued to play it just got better and better! His talent on the slide is unmatched. He is also a super nice guy - came out and talked with people after the show and signed autographs.
