When I was young I was diagnosed with this disease where when I hear song and know the lyrics: I have to sing along. At home, at school, at work; my mouth is always moving and echoing the words of the lead singer. Last weekend at the Something Corporate shows in Anaheim and downtown Los Angeles, I was momentarily cured of my disease. It SoCo's first tour in 5 years (besides the band getting together and playing a few songs back in 2006 at Bamboozle Left), and you could tell by all the guys that they had been fiending the spotlight. Standing in the comfortable and hip Grove of Anaheim, I was rendered speechless by the vocals, piano, and electric energy of Andrew McMahon. The band was just having so much fun. Everyone sounded amazing, and you could tell they were having the time of the life of their. I sure was. Anaheim and then Club Nokia in LA were there last two dates of the tour, and they were played their hearts out for their hometown of southern California. My favorite part of the Anaheim show was during "If U C Jordon" when Andrew wiped his sweaty head with a towel, and left his crazy hair for the next two songs. He led the band in spellbinding the entire audience. Since Club Nokia, I have sense reverted back to my normal disease. But for two nights of amazing music and an energy that I felt for the first time even after all the shows I have attended in the past, my mouth was open but my lips were still. Something Corporate surpassed my very high expectations of my all-time favorite band. And reminded me why I want to be involved in this business of music.
They were just awesome, and Club Nokia is a great, small venue to watch a band. Very memorable concert :]
I am a long time fan of Something Corporate (I have been following them BEFORE Leaving Through the Window) and have seen them live 3 times before this show, and this show definately was the best I have ever seen them! It was the last day of their Reunion Tour and their families and close friends were all in attendance. Andrew talked in between most songs and played each song as if it were the last time he would ever play it. Walking By and Konstantine brought tears to my eyes, it was definately the experience of a lifetime!
We arrived really early, perfect timing actually. The Club Nokia employees came out and were getting phone numbers of everyone upstairs (where me and the bf happened to be) for an instant win game. Turns out, I won! We recieved VIP passes to the 4th floor, had AMAZING, comfortable seats and Andrew brought it. The fabulous band, the perfect location and the spontaneous winning just made the experience wonderful.
I was so excited they were doing a reunion tour and so looking forward to it. They did not let me down. They were amazing! They played everything I wanted to hear. Andrew was spectacular, as usual.
Great concert at an amazing venue. There was no opening band which was incredible. They played a great set list with a perfect encore.
Something Corporate was incredible! I had high expectations and they definitely gave me everything I was hoping for. Their sound has matured in so many ways. However, they still have the same charm, talent and substance that made me fall in love with them, five years ago. They played for about an hour and a half, with no opener and stayed completely energetic and amazing throughout. I have been waiting forever to see SoCo perform live and Bamboozle just didn't do it for me. But this reunion tour was amazing as I knew it would be. Let's just hope I'll get to see them again. This was the best concert I've been to and I'm so glad Andrew, Brian, Josh, Bobby and Clutch decided to do it.
The last show of the SOCO reunion tour was AMAZING!!!!! and I really wished they did not end that night because they are unforgettable. Andrew and the crew put on the most amazing ending show ever <3
Great to see them in concert again, amazing show. :)
Any Something Corporate fan should see them live at some point - really great show!!
Fantastic show to end an era! The Nokia theater was a fantastic venue. Every area was a perfect view. Andrew was fabulous!
Absolutely the best show ever. A must see for anyone!
Everything was good. Lights, Band, Venue. Just perfect :)
Of all the SoCo shows I've been to (more than 2 hands worth), I've never been disappointed. I feel at home with their shows! All of the classics were brought out for this one. It's great to see them all playing together again, and I hope there are more tours to come!
Something Corporate is amazing live and needs to tour more!!!
Awesome show. Great to see them back after all this time!
Something Corporate always puts on a great show! The band is super energetic and the quality of music and vocals were amazing. I love the band and the performance was up to par with the music. Bottom line is if you like the music, you've gotta see them live!
The reunion tour was incredible, Something Corporate gave an amazing, spectacular show as always, full of passion, great music and vocals. Love them.
For the last stop of their tour this was a good show. They sounded exactly like their album plus a few extras thrown in. The drummer was awesome and bass guitarist was grooving the whole time. The venue was a little "dressy" for a rock show and the crowd reflected it, but the beer and drinks were good. All in all, Something Corporate rocks live but Club Nokia, you suck!
