Definitely NOT what I expected. Solange is definitely the cooler sibling!
LAST NIGHT... I WENT ALONE TO THE BOSTON SOLANGE CONCERT. It was one of my most liberating things I've ever done. I don't even like going grocery shopping alone. But this concert - she was so amazing. The most playful, cute, fun, enjoyable performances I've been to in a long time. I felt so free... I danced my HEART OUT. As you said - it's impossible not to when she DEMANDS you to dance like it's your last day on this earth. I didn't care who saw me, I didn't care if I messed up the words. All I cared about was the smile she kept giving me as I jumped around feeling free as a bird.
51 minutes, really, that's all you could sing and this after 1 encour and so many fans screaming after each song. I came from RI and it took me several hours from the time I left my house to hear her sing and for 51 minutes, it wasn't worth it. We waited outside in the pouring rain and cold and for less than an hour, definitely not worth it.
I have lovedddddddd Solange forever--her style, fashions, beauty, music...everything! I loved the music live but i didn't like that it was an 18+ event because there were a lot of young kids and their old parents escorting them and being in the way of people who came to actually watch the show. ....and she didn't perform "I decided" :(
I love solange, but one hour of music doesn't make a concert. I was shocked when she just stopped playing and left the stage. There should've at least been an opener. Thank good I have tickets to see her much more talented sister in July.
The show was amazing! The set list, the band, Solange and her outfit was awesome. I'm glad she did thank us for waiting in the rain. It was a beautiful concert and I'm glad I was in the presence.
I really enjoyed Solange's show. I just love how confident and secure she is with her style, dancing and just overall energy as a performer. Loved!
I have been a fan of Solange for a while and her new EP is her best work to date. Was so excited to see her at House of Blues and she did not disappoint one bit. I had a great time and she sang everything I wanted to hear and more. The only complaint I have is that I wanted more! Totally dig Solange and her swag. I would see her again and recommend people to check her out.
Solange is such a talented artist and too underrated. She performed a top notch set that brought down the house. Definitely not a show to miss.
The room was filled with gay hipsters and afro-centric flawlessness, a la my heaven. I had bought tickets alone, but ran into friends from school and we stood in the second row but to the left. We sat through the opening act, Sinkane, a jam-rock inspired group. And then, Tina Knowles walks in, in her fire-engine red ensemble, the audience members scream and wave to her as if she was the one performing. Then it happens. Solange Knowles sashays her way to the microphone, channeling Diana Ross with a beautiful afro and wearing a beautiful patterned dress with a deviant slit. She sings mostly songs from her latest EP True, but brings out an “old-friend” with the song T.O.N.Y. Slight puffs of marijuana spew in the air right before “Looks Good With Trouble”, Everyone dances to “Losing You” and the audience forgives her for her honesty when she and her band messed up on “Cosmic Journey”. Of course, her encore, “Sandcastle Disco” is what people needed in order to get that concert high rush at the end. All in all the concert was fun, nothing too crazy, but I did lose my hat, which I’m still mad about.
Solange put on a fabulous & intimate show for her true fans.. She sings from her diaphragm and gives real soul!! She actively interacts with her fans and has great famine, sexy and fun dance moves that keep the groove going!
I was hoping to hear more early stuff but she played mostly tunes from the new record. The set was less than an hour which was disappointing.
love the show. she is so fun and lovable. she is everything her sister cant afford to be
Not only did she sing my fave tracks of her latest album true, she sang some of my faves from her second album solangel and the Hadley street dreams. I got there super early and saw her rehearsing, and snagged a spot front row (general admission). She sounded beautiful and looked the part. At the end she climbed into the crowd right next to me! It was so amazing. All of it was everything I expected and more. I would see her every week if I could. It was the perfect concert experience for me, and I've been to a lot
Solange a an AMAZING performance!! I love her music & her artistry!! She's is flawless!
Loved it, love her! She sounds flawless. Her band is amazing, and dev and her just mesh soo very well.
I only wish the concert had been longer. She was amazing and her voice is better in person than it sounds on her EP.
I like it, she was really nice, she sang just, she even came to the floor at the end and dance with us. I really like it.
It was awesome.. point blank period.. she was late, but which star is ever on time.. Her opening act was pretty good too. But Solange killed it. Her band was amazing as well. She sounded really good, looked really good. Interacted with her sold out show/audience. It was amazing. I loved every bit of it. Her mom and boyfriend were there jamming along too. Beyonce was there, but I didnt spot her :(. Please go see Solange if your into her and her music. you wont be disappointed
