So You Think You Can Dance Live! on Tour
As the name implies, the ‘So You Think You Can Dance' Live! tour is an extension of the long-running Fox TV series. Each year, top contestants from the show's most recent season go on the road and perform in front of live audiences. At these gigs, ‘SYTYCD' fans can expect the usual mix of inventive, high-quality choreography and solo and group spotlights. The format of the tour allows dancers to stretch out physically and emotionally, and to show off their unique personalities, which makes the night a resonant one. For the 2018 tour, the Top 10 finalists from Season 15 — including winner Hannahlei Cabanilla, a contemporary dance enthusiast from Orange County, California, and season runner-up Jensen Arnold — are hitting the road to show off their best moves, under the choreographic guidance of the Emmy-winning Mandy Moore.
About So You Think You Can Dance Live! Tour
Just as ‘American Idol' and ‘The Voice' have helped aspiring musicians launch a career, the judged competition ‘So You Think You Can Dance' has done the same for dancers. Contestants from the show, which premiered in 2005, have gone on to become professional actors and actresses, choreographers, and backup dancers for pop stars. ‘SYTYCD' itself has also become known for its innovative dance routines to popular music, and is a perennial Primetime Emmy winner, particularly in the Outstanding Choreography category.
The show's sterling track record is a testament to the stunning pool of talent on display during each season. ‘SYTYCD' doubles as a spotlight showcase for promising dancers specializing in various styles (hip-hop, jazz, contemporary), who then show off their best moves via group, pair, and individual dance performances. Each week, judges whittle down the field of competitors, before crowning one person the winner. After the season ends, the ‘So You Think You Can Dance' Live! tour gives top contestants a chance to strut their stuff in real life, up close and personal in front of the show's many, many fans.
Great show- great dancing- great dancers. I went to their very first show so they spoke to the crowd like they were reading off q-cards but of course writers wrote everything they said, just wish it sounded more personal. BUT I couldn't have asked for a better dance show, they're all amazing!
2 hour and 45 minute show!!!! ALMOST all the dances from the season, although my favorite cheerleader BOYS BOYS was not performed. Left two most poignant and sad numbers for almost the end, and by then, it was late....although great, they were back to back and pulled the energy down....wIsh the show had ended on more of an UP beat. ARENA and area are Great! VERY VERY well policed and LOADS of parking. Drive around to find easy $10 parking just 2 short walking blocks, versus $15 or more. ONLY COMPLAINT: didn't let me bring in goodie bags of candy for my daugher and her friends,.....said they would have allowed if I had called ahead....so be aware of that. $3.75 for a water botttle....but otherwise, well worth the money for the show and the cleanliness of hte arena, area, restrooms, etc. Seats were GREAT! Great Viewing on 2nd level (section 207). MUCH easier than Manuevering and driving to Boston!!!!
Loved the show. It was great to see some of my favorite routines from the past season. Having the dancers rotate the job of hosting was a nice way of getting to know them a little better. A bit too much time seeing the general audition clips and definitely don't need to see any more of Sex. Great performances and really amazing dancers.
SYTYCD was awesome last night. The only complaints I have, and they're not even really complaints, is that the second half seemed soooooooo long. I wish they would've done a longer first half instead. But the dancers were amazing, and I'm still the #1 fan of the show. I thought it was awesome that Phillip and Katelyn got to come along too.
This show was absolutely amazing, I cannot say enough about the talented individals in this show. The show was much more than we expected. Kudos to the dancers and thank you for such a wonderful show.
For any SYTYCD fan or or dance fan, this show is simply the BEST! During the show's season, you may have a favorite BUT now that the competition is over, ALL are totally awesome! They work and perform so well together, it's amazing!! They seem to be such good friends and they are all true professionals-except they don't have the "star snobbery!" They are such inspirations and great performers!! I thoroughly enjoyed all of them and was overwhelmed with the show's "story!" Not one bad or dull moment. Lots of laughs and "oohs and aahs!" Great dancing and athleticism!! Please guys and ladies- don't lose your unadulterated love of dance!!
The dancing was very good, but it was very difficult to understand the narration.
This was such an amazing event, watching all of them perform, and the humor they put into it was amazing!
Wow! Wow! Wow! I want to go again, and again, and again. What an incredibly talented group of dancers!! Sooooooo entertaining. I drove 3 hours there and back to see this show and would have driven many more!! A night I will NEVER forget!

The opening show of So You Think You Can Dance was amazing! The dancers really out did themselves.
What a thrill to see the SYTYCD final 12 in concert! A thoroughly-enjoyable evening that I would HIGHLY recommend!
My second time to go to the show. First time to this venue. We got floor seats so that we can get onto more action. Action we got! It was loud, flashy and exciting, but being at 30 something row, it was very difficult to see the stage. Last year, I went to Boston Garden and up above felt too far from the stage. Verizon Wireless Arena has more intimate setting, so I think the side seats (if close enough) would have been better selection than floor.
I took my family to this event and was disappointed in the sound system. The dancing was great and my kids were thrilled but we really couldn't understand anything anyone was saying.
Amazing!! Better than the TV show. For an Opening night it was flawless. The dancers were also so poised in MCing the event. That was a pleasant surprise. I adore them all.
My wife and I are huge SYTYCD fans, but had no clue how great the show would be. The show was truly amazing and was the best live performance I've ever witnessed. You can tell that there was lots of blood, sweat and tears that went into the production. We definitely will continue going each year, this crew set the bar very high! Glad to be the 1st stop on the tour.
I went to the show last night and it was GREAT!!! The show went off without a hitch and our seats were awesome. I think going forward we will continue to see this show at this venue...We have gone to see the show in years past at BU in Boston and feel the ease of getting in and out of the arena in Manchester was SO MUCH BETTER. We will definitely go to see the show again next time!
This was an amazing showcase of fabulous talent. These dancers were right on the mark and very professional. The entire arena went crazy over every single dance that was performed. I will definitely go to the next So You Think You Can Dance Tour!!!!!
It was a jam-packed show! They did all the performaces you wanted to see and so many more you forgot you loved. The talent is amazing and the dancers did a good job performing!!!!
For their 1st show, they did an awesome job. They all looked incredible.
