About

Working off the success of 2011's Doggumentary, the iconic rapper-actor Snoop Dogg had a busy 2013, appearing in four films and embarking on a tour of America, New Zealand and Australia. Snoop has been the epitome of gangsta rap for over two decades: His tough, West Coast style and  ability to not take himself too seriously endears fans. Snoop brings all these traits to his live concert appearances, engaging ticket holders with good vibes while delivering the cool, subdued sounds he's known for. At the London Lovebox festival in 2011, Snoop could be seen sporting pounds upon pounds of bling, strutting onstage, his characteristic wave of the arms like that of a snake charmer hypnotizing the audience.

Once he made his appearance on Dr. Dre's The Chronic in 1992, Snoop skyrocketed to fame as one of the most identifiable performers. Raised in Long Beach, California, Snoop brought some of his real life hardships into his music. His trademark hair, laid-back voice, plus the grim reality implied in his lyrics all contributed to Snoop's reputation. His 1993 solo release, Doggystyle, proved to be Snoop's greatest achievement, reaching No. 1 on the R&B charts and the Billboard 200. "Gin and Juice" remains to this day an anthem of gangsta party life.

Doggumentary brought Snoop full circle, and was touted as something of a sequel to Doggystyle. Snoop teamed up with a great range of stars this time around. Bootsy Collins steps in on "We Rest n Cali." Gorillaz, Goldie Loc, Kanye West and even Willie Nelson show up to lend a hand throughout the album. Nelson's performance on the old-style country porch rocker "Superman" is not to be missed. One of the charms of this album lies in its handling of divergent styles.

    Disappointed

    by Princess on 8/31/23

I was so excited my first concert figured I’ll go all out. Wanted to do the meet and greet and I was disappointed when we found out that Snoop Dogg was not going to do the meeting greet. I have spent so much money on our tickets for that reason the concert itself was good venue is great.

    Yawn fest

    by M. V. on 8/30/23

Snoop and Wiz completely killed the mood. Complete yawn fest, was ready to have a party not hear Katy Perry. Warren G and Too Short ALWAYS know how to throw a show and keep the vibe. Snoop is too mainstream now

Hardly played any songs from high school album

    by Cooks on 8/29/23

Snoop and wiz played the softest songs they had to offer. I came to hear the old high school slaps. It was more for the ladies then anything. Worst part about the whole concert was when Snoop played Biggie and Tupac music. Much respect to those artist but I don’t pay to hear snoop play other peoples music. By the end of the concert I was already yawning. The song choices were terrible and were deadass putting everyone to sleep. I was excited to see snoop for the first time but I will never spend money on snoop or wiz. Too short was dope along with Berner!

VIP experience was just ok. I purchase the Snoop Dog VIP package which included meet and greet with Snoop. Unfortunately he nor Wiz were doing meet and greets on that day. A bit disappointing. It will be my last time Purchasing the VIP package. The performance was great and so was my seat.

    It was ok

    by Almost 50 on 8/29/23

I guess I knew what I was signing up for going to a Snoop concert but gee whiz, talk about contact! As someone who is 420 accepting but not partaking it was way over the top for me. I mean the entire stadium was blazing. I was messed up for the entire next day!! It was not a good feeling. I could barely enjoy the music because of all that was going on around me. It would have been better if Too Short did a little more of his own material but overall the show was cool.

    worth it, barely

    by Denni on 8/29/23

my rating may not be totally fair bc I'm not into this genre of music, I was also possibly the only person there not smoking pot, nor do I drink. I went for too short, and for the overall experience, and no regrets but I was hoping for better. The good news was I actually got used to the pot cloud after about 15 minutes, and there was very little alcohol and no hostilities the whole night that much was impressive, but there were two much bigger issues: It was way too loud with bass, and I really tried but other than too short I just couldn't get into the music. My highlight was the too short performance but I was disappointed at only the 30 minute set which meant he condensed the songs which was a disappointment. Wiz and Snoop were mostly flat for me, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I gave it a shot. Too short is iconic and may not be around much longer. It was an interesting experience to see how another segment lives. The most impressive aspect was that those artists can get that many people to pay some fairly top dollar for that show, now that was impressive.
