Great night, different, and fun. It was like a comedy show that had some depth. And Kevin Hart being the surprise guest was amazing. Well done!
The show was fantastic. There were some parts that were tough to hear just based on the acoustics of the venue. We were on the first floor all the way to the right under the balconies above. Some of the discussion was lost. Overall a great show. Easy in/out - we were VIPs and it was easy to figure out where to go.
Great night, our guest was Kevin Hart. I thought the format was true to the podcast and a fun conversation. My only suggestion: I wish is it could have been longer.
Such a fun, funny experience! The guys were hilarious!
The whole show was brilliant and amazing because it made the audience feel like we were just hanging out in the living room with a bunch of famous friends talking and laughing. It didn’t seem like any jokes or bits were necessarily planned. It was organic and easy conversation. The “inside jokes” from the podcast were even there which made us feel like we were part of the conversation. Just a bunch of guys bashing each other and making all of us laugh. It was a great show and would love to do it again
As we sat waiting for the show to begin, we saw speakers in the balcony (we were in the last row), but the pre-show music was only playing out of the lower level speakers. Once the show began, only the audio was playing out of the lower level speakers. Those of us in the balcony had to strain to hear. We missed so much as the lower level was laughing and the guys continued to talk over the laughs.
I was so hyped and excited about this podcast. I flew to LA from Utah and spent a lot of money on hotel, rental car and tickets to see these guys and they majorly under-delivered. It was so short. They didn't even interact with the audience or provide us with any kind of wow factor. You would think for the hundreds of dollars they charged for tickets we would get something more! Sad because I really loved these guys. They didn't give us anything we couldn't have just seen on tv.
Love the podcast. The show was eh. Didn’t feel like they put much effort into it. Mark Cuban was great but c’mon, came to see the Smartless guys and it was basically a 45 minute act. Was it past Jason’s bedtime? He didn’t say much. Would have liked some back and forth between Will, Sean and Jason. Not worth the money, which was a bummer!
LOVE these guys, love the show, it was AWESOME that Matt Damon was the mystery guest. Glad I went, sorry I spent the extra $$ on the VIP stuff. Also, unrelated to the show but more for the theater; for all the alerts and policy warnings about masks, etc., there was NO enforcement and the entire row behind us promptly removed their masks and left them off for the entire show. Good news/bad news, the show was funny, so lots of laughter. Now waiting to see if we get sick...
Without knowing who any of the guests were at any of the other shows, the MIT professor as a guest speaker was a disappointment. He was a nice person but the show was that entertaining. After hearing about all the other show guests, Conan O’Brian, Kevin Hart, Bradley Cooper, Will Ferrell and Boston’s own Matt Damon at the Madison, WI show of all places was very hard to swallow. I hope the Smartless trio understands that as fans we were hoping for something a little better than a lecture on technology for the price we paid.
Such a fun night with the Smartless guys and of course Matt Damon!! Hoping they will make a trip to Minneapolis the next time.
excellent show.... entering and exiting was fast and easy.... theater was super clean and very helpful staff... 10 stars if i could !!!
such a great show! These guys are hilarious and the special guest was AMAZING. I only wish it would have been longer. The time flew.
I went to the Chicago Theater on Feb 8th for the Smartless show. This was my first time seeing a podcast live, and it did not disappoint! Thanks for hosting them, and please bring them back the next time the take the show on tour!!
We had so much fun at the show. I'm grateful that they made Madison a stop and brought such a great guest!
Loved every minute of it, only wish it was longer. All three were so charming. Matt Damon too. Laughed so hard.
I had zero expectations, knowing the guys are hilarious on their podcast. Having Tracy, Sean’s sister come out was hilarious. The mystery guest was Matt Damon who did not disappoint. A big hit with the crowd. As you might guess the live experience doesn’t fully translate. We had seats on the main floor in one of the last rows. It was incredibly difficult to hear. Since it wasn’t a music show I think the sound system needs to be improved and is key to making it an excellent experience. At least a half dozen times either my row or people around us could be heard saying “what did they say?” Beyond the venue issues the guys made the experience fun. Not worth the price though.
My husband and I had an amazing experience at this show! It was such a treat to see Matt Damon and I wasn’t expecting that. Also very fun to meet Tracy from Wisconsin! Sean, Jason and Will are so great together. Hilarious and heartfelt show- I would definitely go again.
The guys were great, however I spent a lot of money for a VIP ticket and had to give up my VIP seat from the first show to make room for the VIPs who were coming in for the second show. Very unorganized and poorly planned. Plus, for the price I would have appreciated at least a handshake! I understand Covid protocols were in place, but VERY expensive for the experience.
The show at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn was amazing and full of SMART surprises. Between AOC and Bradley Cooper, the night had great guests that gave honest and real updates on life and the industries that they work in. Such a great show!
