SLEEPING WITH SIRENS IN CONCERT:
Post-hardcore rockers Sleeping with Sirens are masters of contrast, and their dynamic live shows are the best way to experience their staggering sonic range. The band's hard-hitting yet melodic sound is a juggernaut of blistering guitars and breakneck drums, but the earth-shaking onslaught of propulsive anthems like "If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn" is tempered by the helium-high tenor of lead singer Kellin Quinn. It's an otherworldly voice unlike any other, and Quinn gives it room to breathe in concert, nailing acrobatic vocal passages while thrashing around the stage like a hurricane with a mic. The whirlwind of energy he unleashes is matched blow for blow by the rest of the band, who take things to the next level with scorching guitar riffs, chugging bass, and galloping drums that leave ticket buyers thoroughly rocked and ready for more.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Sleeping with Sirens formed in Orlando, FL in the late '00s and found a fast following thanks to their aggressive yet accessible sound and the singular leggero tenor voice of frontman Kellin Quinn. The band was picked up by metalcore label Rise Records, and in 2010 they dropped their full-length debut album With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear. The following year they released their sophomore album Let's Cheers to This to a Top 5 spot on the Hard Rock chart, and in 2013 they cracked the Top 3 on the mainstream Billboard 200 with their third album Feel. That record sold nearly 200,000 copies, earning them a strong overseas following and drawing them out for extensive touring including the 2013 Vans Warped Tour. Following a 2014 tour with Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens left Rise Records and signed with Epitaph. They made their debut on the label in 2015 with Madness, another commercial success that added high-octane tracks like "Kick Me" and "We Like it Loud" to the band's livewire sets on tour.
This was a great show in a great venue. First time seeing Sleeping With Sirens and first time at the Fillmore, and both were great. The opening band M.A.G.S was great too. Excellent show!
Sleeping with sirens killed it as always! 3rd time seeing them! First time seeing Mags & Dayseeker and now im definitely a fan!
My Houshmandzadeh and I were finally able to take our honeymoon after 4 years and this was the surprise concert for the last stop of it, and it was amazing! The venue was gorgeous, the bands were all so amazing! The staff was super friendly and calm, this was a 3 hour drive we will make again and again! You guys are amazing!
Mags and Dayseeker were great and Sleeping with Sirens came out and killed it šš¾. I would definitely see them again, wish I could have gotten seats for the VIP tickets though. But we got everything we wanted š„³
Didn't know much about the band to start with but was recommended by a friend at work. The show was not my scene lol. No moshing everyone's phone was out and recording. Lots of high pitched teenagers screaming but the music seemed good and they did a great job with the crowd so if you like the band and vibe definitely go it just wasn't all that to me
Dayseeker was amazing! They opened and were so awesome and honestly who I was there to see. I started listening to Sleeping with Sirens in anticipation of the show so I was more familiar with them. I really live them! I am a big can now and even more so after the show. What amazing performers! I would love to see them again! Such a great show!
I have been listening to SWS since fourth grade (9 years old) and I turn 22 this year and it was just so amazing and beautiful. I personally like concerts at the The Fillmore, Silver Spring because although pretty packed, it feels so much more personal and intimate with your fave artist. You're close enough to get amazing pictures and videos and see your idol super close, sometimes they jump in or lean to touch us so it's just an amazing experience. SWS played so many amazing songs from different albums and I'm just so happy I went <3 The opening sets were also so incredible: I got to watch M.A.G.S who had such a fun and cool vibe and I truly enjoyed their music; Dayseeker also performed and they were amazing!!! such incredible songs with amazing screamo and Rory (lead singer) was so considerate with the crowd and personal!! Overall, fun fun fun time!
I love them been a fan since middle school . They were so nice when I me them I love them kellin is my husband but he donāt know it yet . Iāll be back again
Wish the venue wasnāt as crowded as it was but still loved watching the artist preform! SWS was the best!
I loved seeing Sleeping With Sirens again. They were awesome. And seeing dayseeker for the first time was amazing. Loved the bar staff and the energy in the crowd. The line was long to get in but it moved really fast. And the drinks were great. Kellin was amazing as usual.
All three bandās performances were great, but during Sleeping with sirens the speaker right in front of us went in and out throughout the performance.
SWS was such a great experience and as my first love band since middle school, it was absolutely everything I couldāve hoped for. The acoustics in the Fillmore were great and it was awesome to see everyone get more comfortable throughout the night and start singing their hearts out. Love this community and definitely set the bar for future concerts
Super fun, high energy show. Lost my voice because they were playing all the amazing songs that they produce and couldn't have asked for a better time! 1000% was worth it and can't wait until I can see them again!!!
Obviously sleeping with sirens played amazing and sounded incredible. But I hate that venue. They sell it out for big shows that should really be getting bigger venues but they just pack it. There is lots of seating and room on the sides of the stage but not much directly in front of the stage which is where everyone wants to stand.
Overall awesome atmosphere and experience but extremely disappointing for the audio for sleeping with sirens for the 1st time seeing them live..
Hands down one of the best shows I have been to! All of the performers were amazing and super high energy. It was also nice to see that the artists were keeping a close eye on the crowd whenever anyone needed help and were continuously checking in on people. All in all it was a fantastic show and would love to see them again in the future!
The performers were great. SWS was great. The venue needs to do better. The show was at the Fillmore and halfway through the set the speaker on the right side blew out causing us not to be able to hear Kellin whatsoever. Also, people kept passing out because it was so hot in the venue. I know they have ac, why not use it. And the water they did pass out wouldnāt have even helped a mouse the cups were so small.
The band and the openers were absolutely amazing. The bands deserve five stars. The Fillmoreā¦ Iād give maybe 3 stars though I could definitely go lower. The overall organization of the venue was poor. The mosh pit was not properly spread out which led to the back being super crowded. No room to move. They should have managed it better so there was space to get out. The bathroom situationā¦ They had someone in there yelling at people when a stall had opened. Thereās a clear difference between projecting your voice so people can hear and yelling. That was most definitely yelling. The overall demeanor of staff was just not good. I was shoved out of the way by one of the staff when I had nowhere to move and not given time to. The organization of the merch line was deplorable. There was so much miscommunication on where the line started. And thus myself and friend who were originally in the correct line but told misinformation got put at the back of the line because we moved. Which at that point we were unlikely to get any of the merch we wanted. There were far too many people ahead of us. So we ended up leaving. Sleeping with Sirens however was amazing and I would see them again just not at the Fillmore.
My dream came true. I met Kellin and his band. I have dreamt of this since I was 11 years old when I found them. His music has saved my life time & time again. To have actually got to meet Kellin & hear him sing in person brings so much serotonin to my heart & would. I'm so extremely grateful for this experience & will most definitely see them again. (:
The band was AMAZING. Sleeping with Sirens was so so good as they are every time Iāve seen them. The problem was that the Fillmore must not have properly tested speakers beforehand because one of the speakers was not functioning properly and we could hardly hear the vocals at all over the music/sound of the crowd. Just disappointed overall because we were really excited about this show.
