About

"To be honest my vibe gets killed the most when I'm concentrating too much on what is around me and thinking too much about it all," Moore states. "I have the most fun when I let my inhibitions check out, right at that point things just start to happen."

It started to go well for Sonny when he filtered out the noise and distraction of his world as a solo artist and started mining the ephemeral moments he had been sharing with friends in clubs and parties across the city he calls home since his mid-teen years. The restless, urgent and kaleidoscopic sounds of EDM and bass music had spoken to him for the best part of a decade, one day he just started talking back.

"Making music is the same as DJing," he offers. "You continue along the path that leaves you most inspired. When you think too much you put limits on what is possible, the best parts are always instinctual rather than something too considered or planned out."

  • Best dubstep show hands down!!!!

by Jzizi on 8/2/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to a few dubstep/edm concerts but skrillex murdered it! Can't wait to see him again :)

  • The music was great

by Litlebudy on 8/2/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

The music itself was definitely what I had hoped for, but not only did I pay to much for the tickets (120 for 2) but was not notified that we had to get there early to even be allowed to go on the floor. When you live 1 1/4 hours away you don't try and be the first one there. Back was sore from standing in aisles but like I said I'd recommend this to my friends as long as they got there before the crew does.

  • Skrillex was awesome!!!

My 7yr old and I went, we love his music. He was incredible!

  • Life changing

I've been to an uncountable amount of concerts, two of them being Skrillex. And I would say both of his live shows were two of the best nights if my life. He is probably my favorite live performer. I've gone with some of my friends who before we not too big into EDM and even they said they had the time of their life. He is over all amazing.

  • Go but go early to access the floor!

by Anonymous on 8/2/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing! The music was awesome and the light show was intense! The problem...... get there EARLY so that you can hang out on the floor and actually dance....otherwise you're stuck in seats where you can't dance. Plus you get yelled at if you dance or stand in the stairway (must be a fire hazard). You can't sit and enjoy the show.....this is an intense concert that drives you to dance you can can't!

  • Simply badass!

First time I've ever been to a concert/rave like this and it was insane. Whether or not you like Electronic Dance Music or Skrillex in general, this show is a must see and is totally worth the money. You will not be disappointed.

Until 2 months ago, I had never heard of this guy. I went to the Mothership Tour concert at Red Rocks and this dude changed my life! This was, hands down, the best concert I have EVER seen! Fan for life!

  • Amazing!

by Hatersanonymous on 6/23/14Mid-America Center - Council BluffsRating: 5 out of 5

What a great concert! There were three other artists before Skrillex and they were only so-so. Francis Dillon was great and put on a good show, but I wasn't wowed by Milo and Otis or What so Not. Skrillex however, was mind blowing! The build up to the big reveal of his dj set was stellar and then later in the concert when his stage rose up (~15ft) in the air and lit up with lights, lasers, and fog it blew my mind. I'd recommend going to see this, but I think the tour is over.

Skrillex was good but i feel that he played to much trap and empty drops. Dillion francis was mediocre at best but this might be due to that the volume at the center wasnt load enough before skrillex came on. The other opener was pretty bad what really detremented this concert for me was that it was 16+. Way to many kids running around. And it started so early and ended so early. Plus it took forever to get a beer like 45 mins. Skrillex was good but the venue and age group was terrible. never again will i go to a 16+ concert

This show was absolutely amazing! The openers were fantastic and he played almost a 2 hour set! HIGHLY recommend to anyone contemplating seeing the mothership tour.

  • Amazing show

    by Charlee813 on 6/21/14Chaifetz Arena - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not even that into skrillex, mainly got the tix cuz my bf likes his music. The show exceeded my wildest expectations. I recognized all the songs; he completely killed it. The opening acts were great as well. I'll definitely be going again. Chaifetz arena is one of my favorite venues. Saw bassnectar there a few years ago. Sound quality is good at that arena, and security isn't a bunch of douchebags like pageant.

  • Skrillex was the bees knees

by DrJerkberg on 6/21/14Mid-America Center - Council BluffsRating: 5 out of 5

I am a huge fan of Skrillex and this show was out of this world. I can't even describe how amazing it was for me. The lights and effects that went along with the music was incredible and Sonny really knows how to get the crowd going!! He even greeted some of his fans towards the end. I am just in love.
