Siobhan knows how to rock the 'tents'. First the Cape Cod Melody Tent and now the tent at SummerWind Performing Arts Center. She did not disappoint. This show was amazing from start to finish!!! After the show she met fans and autographed their items in the rain. Siobhan cares about her fans!!!
American Idol 2010 finalist Siobhan Magnus delivered the vocal goods Sat. Night at the wonderful Summerwind Theatre in Windsor. Siobhan opened the night with her small rock combo performing some of her new recordings most notably Beatrice Dream and Hollywood Carousel. The second set featured the energetic rocking Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra performing some of the most iconic rock songs of all time. Siobhan sang lead vocals on at least a third of the set but all of the vocalists along with the URO's leader were fantastic. See this band when at all possible. They're terriffic and genuinely a nice bunch of musicians.
Do yourself a favor and see this girl whenever you can. She posesses a beautiful voice,but a beautiful heart informs that voice. She can rock out with one song and melt your heart with another. It doesn't matter what genre,she finds the truth in a song and tells it! Her original material is as good as her covers. My favorite is Hollywood Carousel but Black Doll is gaining. Hey, they're all great! She's headling the Cape Cod Music Festival the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and her album release concert is October 30th. Go!!!!!
. . but inside the soaring SummerWind tent was an intimate family friendly gathering for kids of all ages. Siobhan's voice is amazing and powerful and as appealing as she is! She will be fun to follow as her career matures. And the URO are clearly pros . . .such fun, great sound, and a real team that shares the spotlight while engaging us in good ole rock 'n roll!
She, and they, put on a great show - just wish her vocals weren't washed out for a couple of songs when she was singing lead due to over-amplification of the acoustic-electric guitar and/or because her mike was under-amplified. A lot of energy and talent up on that stage.
The show was good, but it was too loud -- had to go stand outside the tent.
After her run on American Idol and seeing she is a local performer, we had to attend when the show was announced. Siobhan didn't disappoint and neither did the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra. Some singers are just OK live, but she is everything (and more) she appeared to be on Idol. It was awesome to see that her family were all there supporting her. They must be very proud of her. All total, the show went on for 2-1/2 hrs. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who likes her outrageous look, clothes and sound !
The best show ever! Absolutly loved it, this girl is going places for sure. I love Siobhan Magnus!
We have watched Siobbon since she appeared on American Idol. We went to the concert of the season winners in We also saw her in Hyannis at the October event. She has a truly special voice. I do not enjoy her as much with her own band. This Saturday with some of her uncle's band, she was fabulous. We also enjoyed the URO band. I hope Siobbon does stage music at some point in her career. I know she needs to find a story that means something to her, but she has that kind of amazing voice that belongs in a Phantom or other show that resonates with so many people. We are very excited to follow her career and wish her all the best.
Saw Siobban Magnus at her debut at the Melody Tent. Two and a half hours of rock and roll, starting with her band Lunar Valve doing a short set, then a full set of Siobban doing songs from the album she is working on plus her memorable songs from AI, and then a full set of the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra with Siobban as one of the many vocalists. The night was fantastic. Seeing her in person, she was even more impressive than on tv. Killer version of Nothing Compares 2U. URO was very entertaining, worth seeing on their own. Lunar Valve was interesting, and very loud, reminded me of early Pink Floyd. All-in-all a very good show, better than I expected
My husband and I went to the show. The LOVED Siobhan's performance! I can't believe such a strong and powerful voice comes out of her. And she looked beautiful! We also enjoyed the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra. Not knowing what to expect, it was a great performance! We REALLY REALLY REALLY disliked the opening act! They were horrible! But, Siobhan's and the Ultrasonic Rock Orhcestra's performances were so good that we still ranked the night 5 Stars! Thanks for a great time!!
Siobhan has a big, bad, raw, rock and roll voice that could fill a stadium. Her vocals have improved immensely and amazingly since her appearances on American Idol. She's got an incredible combo of Stevie Nicks, Melissa Etheridge, Sinead O'Connor, Pink and even Aretha living in her pipes! However, she puts a totally unique spin on every song she sings and even makes Led Zeppelin sound beautiful! Her original songs totally fit her voice, her style and the rest of the show perfectly. We thoroughly LOVED her solo set at the Melody Tent! Oh and we totally loved her clothes and bling! I would have given five stars if Siobhan had appeared without the other two acts. Nice of her to share the stage, yes, but we would have been MUCH happier with two full hours of just Siobhan.
No producers holding Siobahn back..she melted faces with her rock. Everybody was blown away...pre-teens, grandmas, rockers, idol fans, stage crew...everybody.
Siobban was very good & URO was great. They reminded me of Queen
Brought my 3 teen daughters w/ friends to see their favorite American Idol and ended up loving the show myself! Rockin to tunes I was more familiar with Who, Zeppelin, Beatles etc than the girls..
Best show I've seen in several years. One great performance after another.
2 hours of bliss. The Cape Cod Melody Tent has never seen a greater moment. America's Idol Cape Cod's Idol came through like gangbusters.
Enjoyable night. The opening act started earlier than the posted time, but we saw most of Lunar Valve, they were rocking hard. The second act was Siobhan with musicians from URO and they all sounded great. URO was the third act and I was impressed with their showmanship and mimicry of rock classics. Siobhan was mostly just a backup with URO howver.
Knowing Siobban would not dissapoint, i must say the evening was a true delight! Although the sound was a bit off in the beginning and at times drowned her out, I still look forward to her new releases in November. she seems so happy to be singing her heart out. The performance with URO was just awesome.
