I enjoyed the play the music and the performers were highly talented so it was a great evening for us. My plus was the history and enjoyment when I was a boy and to see it again brought back a lot of good memories.
The actors, music, choreographies and set was just unbelievable. The Singing in the Rain number was simply unforgettable, go watch it!
It's great when you have rain on the indoor stage. Would defently go back. Great job all.
Excellent production of Singin' in the Rain!!! Wow! The acting, the dancing, the sets, the actors, costumes and yes...the Rain!! Wonderful!! I would recommend this to anyone young or old! We brought our 10 year old who actually watched the originally movie from start to finish when she was 3! She LOVED it! Don was a doll as was everyone else! Perfect casting and the dancing skills and choreography...unbelievable! Only thing I can say negative is that we really did not think the scene on Broadway was completely necessary-could have lived without that-but otherwise EXCELLENT! Super price and great seats! Not a bad seat in the place actually! We will be back! Just love Drury Lane Oakbrook! P.S. be careful to wear wear you rain hats if you sit in the front two rows!
A must see. This was a terrific evening. The play followed the movie almost verbatim. Songs and dances were wonderful.
The choreography was amazing!! I took my 3 daughters and my mom with me and we ALL enjoyed it. The singing and dancing were top notch!!! I'd see it again in a heartbeat!
I've seen many professional shows, and this is the best show I have ever seen. I cried at the end it was so good. ! I would drive 3 hours to see it again if I could find the time. Every minute was entertaining, happy, fun and very funny. My 8 year old daughter absolutely loved it. She was laughing hysterically at the characters Lina Lamont and Cosmo. I was surprised there were not other kids at the show. This is a great show for kids too! The show is squeaky clean except for one brief scene when a woman is dancing suggestively with Don Lockwood but that only lasts a minute and went right over her head. She asked me "What is she trying to do?" I explained she was just showing off her dancing skills. The vocals, dancing, costumes, acting.. it's all fabulous! Whole show stays true to the movie with all the memorable lines thrown in "Well, of course we talk, don't everybody?" Lead really reminded me of Gene Kelly - great voice, smooth dancing, and good looks too. Cosmo is perfect for the part. Lina Lamont is hilarious. I would recommend this show for anyone age 7 and up. I would go again and again..
This was one of the best plays I have seen in a long time. It's a must to go to!! don't miss out!
When I lived in San Francisco I had season tickets to the Best of Broadway. The production and entertainment value of this show was unsurpassed!
The singing was so professional. The dancing and acting were very well executed. If I had gone sooner I would have seen it twice. It's no wonder that it was held over for more shows. A standing ovation to all of the actors!!
Even thought the play is performed by UTEP students the whole production was very well executed. From dialog, costumes, signing and dancing to lighting, film editing and sound it was worth every penny! I could have gone without the dinner, since it was nothing out of the ordinary. Overall the whole event is a complete success! I enjoyed it very much and plan on attending future UTEP productions.
Very Colorful costumes to replicate that time era. Most remarkable the way it rained on the stage to recreate the scene. It was a most enjoyable evening; what more could you want: dinner and a show in the same night! Keep it up UTEP!
