Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan are a Vans Warped Tour staple, having played there every summer from 1999 to 2005. In 2011, Simple Plan joined the Warped Tour once again treating ticket buyers to high-energy live concerts anchored by hits like "I'm Just a Kid," "I'll Do Anything," and "Shut Up!" The band's show has been recorded on two separate live albums: "Live in Japan 2002," during their sold out run there, and "MTV Hard Rock Live." Simple Plan returned with their fifth studio album "Get Your Head On!" in 2013, and it includes guest appearances from Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte.
Simple Plan is composed of childhood friends who got together in the early '90s under the moniker Reset before changing names and releasing their debut, "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls," in 2002. The Canadian rockers have won numerous awards at the MuchMusic Awards, Juno Awards, Teen Choice Awards and NRJ Music Awards. The band is also active in charitable efforts, such as MTV Asia Aid, MADD, RAAADD and Make-A-Wish Foundation, and launched their own non-profit in 2005 that focuses on teen problems like suicide and drug addiction. Simple Plan is a band that has survived nearly fifteen years of recording and touring in an industry not known for longevity. The group continues to do it with fantastic live sets and philanthropy.
This concert was the best concert i have gone to in my entire life! Everyone was jumping and go wild, singing to all the songs the party never stopped.
Best concert ever it was amazing just like I dream love simple plan!!!
AWESOME! Simple Plan will forever stay my favorite band <3
We went mainly to see Marianas Trench sine it is their first time touring in the U.S. but we stayed to see Simple Plan and had a really good time listening to all the bands.
My friend and I had such a great time! We would love to see them again! We got to meet David and Pierre from Simple Plan. I even got an autograph on my ticket from David! The show so rocked!
I'm a inspiring band manager so I go to a lot of professional and local shows to immerse myself in the scene and this show was by far the best I've been to. The line up was fantastic, the venue had a wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff, the sets were great, and so much more.
This live by SP is great. I went with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed the show.
I only went to this concert to see Marianas Trench and meet them. They were just beyond amazing. I hope they come back to the US again!
This show had so much energy & crazy it was great!
one word = AMAZING!!! every band on the tour were awesome and im not just saying that. they all killed it. Simple plan played an hour and 1/2 set and its was the best ive ever seen them play
I had seen FTSK and SP before, but HOLY CRAP Marianas Trench is on a US tour!!! Although, they were the first act and people weren't really that into it but HELLOOOOO MT is AWESOME!!!! I think they totally rocked out. And like I said, I had seen simple plan before, but they were even better this time! The other two bands were good too (especially FTSK- they really put on a good performance and got the crowd going) but i really just went for marianas trench and simple plan.
The concert was amazing. Marianas Trench, The Cab, and Forever The Sickest Kids were great openers. Simple Plan made the best night ever. I can't wait for them to all come back around.
They gave one of the better performances I've ever seen live. My son & daughter had a blast as well. i would definitely go see them again.
As usual, the concert was memorable. The 3 bands before SP were dynamite as well.
Simple Plan is awesome!! This was definitely the best I've seen them! Forever the Sickest kids always put on a great show! And The Cab is amazinggggg
Simple Plan never fails to put on an amazing show!
This show was amazing. All of the bands were great. Everyone in the crowd was into it.
Awesome. SP did amazing. Their energy was amazing. Just like I remember it from when I saw them in 2005. They were, are, and will always be one of my favorite bands and one of the best live shows I have ever been too! They played about 17-20 songs. Played some from each album they've released. I would have liked to see a longer set fromMariana's Trench though. They are another great band out of Canada. They should NOT have played first. They deserved to play more than 5 songs.
We missed the first few openers and only make it for the end of Forever the Sickest Kids, and I'm sorry we missed part of their set because they were good. Simple Plan was great too, I haven't listened to much of their new stuff and only knew about 6 songs, but they were still great. I had seen them before about six years ago. They put on a great show, lots of energy. LOVE Clutch Cargos, great place to see a show.
You can always tell when a band comes along that knows what they're doing, how to control the stage, how to control the audience, and how to put on a great show. Simple Plan did just that on Wednesday night at Clutch Cargos. The three warm-up bands were average - Mariana's Trench had the same sound for each song that was played and The Cab didn't know how to fire up the audience, although their music was good. Forever the Sickest Kids probably did the best of the three warm-ups, which was the turnaround of the night. They fired up the crowd and played good songs, although most were new ones that I wasn't familiar with. When Simple Plan came on, that was the moment that I knew the concert had taken a complete 180 degree turn and changed for the better of the night. They played great songs, mostly old classics which was great because I only ever really listened to their first two CD's. But when they played their new songs, they still fired up the audience and during most songs, they had witty and funny stage presence amongst each other and with the audience. All in all, it was a great concert and the guys from Simple Plan put on an amazing show, so I would recommend it to anyone who has the means and who has ever been a fan. I would have given the show 5 stars (which was what Simple Plan deserved) but the warm up bands left much to be desired.
