I was so excited to see Sickick and was left so disappointed. The show was at 10:30 pm and he didn’t come on stage until 1:00 am. Ended up leaving 30 minutes after he started since everything he played sounded exactly like the techno music played by the 2 Djs before him.
Amazing show, great energy, played to the crowd well. Was a last minute purchase as we were local to the area and boy am I thrilled we went!
Should have looked at reviews ahead of time….. I love Sickick and couldn’t wait to see him. The sis before him played for 3 hours. He was supposed to come on the stage at 11 and didnt play until 12:45. The crowd was exhausted, intoxicated, drinks were of course expensive, couldn’t leave venue (concord) and return. Only ended up seeing him for thirty minutes. Non of the songs transitioned, there were actual pauses in between. And confusion. He was on stage with two other dudes. He wasn’t really singing because that was loud and clear. But whenever he’d speak to say “let’s go chicago” you could barely hear him at all very muffled. The men I was with saw him miss a drop. Pushed a button too soon but didn’t mess up song. Wack situation. Wasted a day driving, waiting, paying.
The only thing that I could honestly say was that It’s was phenomenal!!! All other words lost.
The show was excellent! Sickick is a fantastic performer and one I love to see every time he’s in town.
I was pumped to see him perform but I was really disappointed on the turnout. He came onto the stage 4 hours late. I feel like he gave his openers too much time on stage and some of them were not even that good. Once he arrived on stage, his performance was lacking creativity and authenticity. I ended up walking out of the venue because I got tired of how bland his music was. I love his songs on Spotify and I expected so much better out of him.
Great show, but I really was looking forward to Sickick playing some of his original music. Also, I was not anticipating that he would not be playing until 1am, at which point I was pretty exhausted. Great concert, but had Sickick played more of his best hits, I think it would have been worth the wait.
Opening by Henry fong was great. Sickick took entirely too long to come out and played underwhelming tracks mostly - had some hype moments. Performing for about an hour was too short.
It was my first time on a boat and I was nervous but I didn’t even feel the boat move. I had a great time and got to meet lots of people. The show was S!CK!!!!!
Simply put, this night was an experience worth every moment.
I’m a huge Sickick fan. We flew from NC for the weekend and started at Encore. I was so excited for the months leading up to this. The show was fun, great energy & quality sound. We got there at 9:45 since the show started at 10… the show didn’t start until 1AM & then everything was little off of his mixes on YouTube. Nothing was original.. needless to say I was very disappointed.
We had to cancel going to the show because soundcheck dc was not checking for proof of vaccinations upon entry. Due to the fact, we couldn’t attend. Like most venues, soundcheck dc needs to start checking for vaccination cards for the safety of all guests.
