About

Australian singer, songwriter and performer Sia is as exciting onstage as she is innovative in the studio. In electrifying performances in concert, such as her recent appearance at Coachella, Sia is both a sought-after collaborator and a mesmerizing solo performer. Audiences describe her as "powerful and strong” but with “charisma and charm.” On tour, a ticket to a Sia show is a ticket into a private world of intimate moments, shared dreams, hope and joy seen through the lens of songs like “You’ve Changed” or “Clap Your Hands.” Whether in the high energy moment of a hot dance track, in the intimacy of a soft ballad, in the funkiness of an acid-jazz inspired track, in the smokiness of some downtempo beats or in any of the many musical moods that she moves through, Sia takes audiences on a beautiful journey through her music every time she takes the stage.

Sia’s music is incredibly well-known. She hits the charts with tunes like her UK top ten single, “Taken for Granted,” and she also provides the soundtracks for some of the hottest movies and television shows lighting up screens today. Her song, “Elastic Heart,” is on "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" soundtrack, while her ballad, “Kill and Run,” was featured on the soundtrack to "The Great Gatsby." When she is not working on chart-topping hits for herself or for award-winning artists, including Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Eminem, Ne-Yo and Rihanna, Sia is burning up the stage with her unique hybrid of acid jazz, downtempo, trip-hop, pop and jazz. Over the course of five studio albums so far, Sia has shown an impressive depth, scale and range.

great performers, but advertised time was wrong

by aj8114 on 7/29/11Webster Hall - New York

The Webster Hall website advertised doors at 7, first act at 8, Oh Land at 9 and Sia at 10. We got there at 8:30, planning to see all of Oh Land, but she was already halfway thru the set! I was sad to miss half of Oh Land, but the 4 songs I saw were great. Sia was fun and silly while interacting with the crowd. Her voice is AMAZING, but her performance is kind of boring, she literally stands there and sings into the mic, doesn't move or do anything expressive while singing. Actually, she seemed to be a little "over it".

    Sia is amazing!

Really enjoyed my self. There was a delay as to when exactly she was supposed to perform but other than that it was so fun. My advice is to wear comfortable shoes, and get there early if you want to be in the front. I would definitely do it all over again, just to see Sia perform.

    Sia Rocks New York

by GLSpino on 7/29/11Webster Hall - New York

Sia is hands down one of the best live performers I have ever seen. She is fun, funny, not scared of interacting with her audience and her latest album is fantastic. If you have never seen Sia live, treat yourself. You won't be sorry.

I LOVE Sia, but unfortunately after seeing her live, I would much rather listen to her recordings. I don't know if this was a matter of the venue, the sound mixing or what, but I think she translated really poorly at Webster Hall. Her interactions with the audience were GREAT and she has such a cute personality which I had not known before. But musically, I found a lot of it difficult to listen to. Her kick drum was louder than her voice (not okay for a VOCALIST), the bass was painful, the room was crowded and way too hot, stuffy and smelly.

by sage1498 on 7/28/11Webster Hall - New York

It wasn't her best concert... this is my 5th one in a row at Webster Hall. She did do a lot of older songs which was a happy surprise. You get to hear what an amazing voice she has.
