Shogun is really a class act. Very professional atmosphere, good pacing, and very exciting fights. Worth every single penny. I'll definitely be at every event. My only advice is that if you bring children, please provide them with ear plugs. They sell noise reducing headphones for children for concerts.
Event leaders and fighters are unprofessional and don't respect their audience of young kids. The lyrics in their entry song list is one example. Their post fight interview is another. We pay a lot of money to come out and support you and to support Shogun. Please think about the young children that look up to your and admire you as their heroes.

This was my first time going to the shogun fights. I thought that it was a pretty good event. Some of the fights were kind of boring with very little action, but majority of the fights had plenty of action. I think seating price for this event was a decent price. The only thing that I didn't like about the pricing was that if you purchased a suite, you got nothing extra with your purchase. I think that drinks and food should be included if you purchase a suite and not added as an additional fee. Overall, I would recommend this event to anyone looking to see local MMA fights.
This was my second Shogun fights. Both experiences make me want to keep coming back. The regional fighters are top-notch athletes. The fights run on-time. This is a professional event all around. I have zero complaints.
Fights were poorly matched, crowd was drunk and disrespectful, fights started late and workers seating guests were rude.
This was mine and my wife's first live MMA fight. We were very excited about attending and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be attending more Shogun fights in the future.
Shogun Fights X was the very first Shogun Fights I went to. Definitely recommend it to anyone who like MMA/UFC and wants to watch a night of fighting in the cage. I will definitely buy another ticket for future Shogun Fights.
My son and I have been watching several different series of MMA Events on TV for more than 2 years now. We often said, "What a shame there isn't an MMA Event here near Baltimore. An internet search finally popped up with Shogun Fights IX. It was near my son's birthday and I surprised him with floor seats for this event. Everything about it was greater than I expected. The Arena, the staff, music, stage, lighting, the Girls, but most of all the "FIGHTS". There is nothing like seeing it Live. Great job Shogun. We will be back!
This was my first fight. I definitely plan to attend Shogun Fights IX. I arrived at the start of the fourth fight (eleven fights total). Most of the fights were exciting. The fights ran on schedule. There was a well-timed brief intermission and the whole thing concluded around11 pm or so. My bleacher seats on the floor level were good to go. I had a good view of the cage and the crowd was into it. Looking forward to the next fight!
Very good fights. Only downside, we got there at seven and left after 11. There were only 11 fights but it still took over 4 hours...pretty long night, but worth the ticket price.
The energy at the arena was great but many of the fights lacked excitement. The first three fights were short (one was a few seconds and it was over). I was beginning to feel as if I had wasted money. If they had less known fighters and built there way up to at least one really good / professional bout it would have been worth my drive from Washington DC and the cost of the tickets.
If you like mma fighting. This was a great time, and well worth the price of admission
Great night of fights...only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was I would have liked to see some bigger fighters (weight). 11 total fights and the majority were small guys (135-170) The event it self was done really well. I will attend another one in the future.
All excellent fights.. the seats I had not bad..1st Mariner Arena excellent place to go and the staff was outstanding...and where we sat got to talk to a couple of the fights before they left....very greatful to the fans who come out and watched them..
This was my first SHOGUN fight and it was awesome! The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't start on time and one of the matches never happened. But other than that, it was awesome and very exciting.
I cannot wait for this event to come back. Will bring more people!
The fights were great but was a little disappointed that there were no KO's, but overall lits of action would highly recommend and wish that there was a Shogun venue sooner then April 2012!!
