To witness the Tribute to the Cotton Brothers by such anointing singers was wonderful. Shirley Caesar never fails you,.and the rest of the singers didn't fail us either. It was worth waiting for and the price of the tickets wss worth the price.
I got these tickets last year for my Mother and Sister for Mother's Day and it was so nice to finally use them for one of my Mother's first outings since the pandemic. They had a wonderful time with THE Legend Shirley Caesar along with our locals spiritual leaders and talent. They are still taking about how much fun they had.
Shirley Caesar was great. The show was fantastic. Enjoyed each artist.
The entire experience was a disaster. The arena was extremely cold. The concert started late, and proceeded to get worse from there on. There seemed to be equipment/audio issues during and between acts. The comedian/warmup guy was on far too long, and the acts took too long to come on stage. So far as a I know, there was no forewarning that there would be a presentation of "awards".....that is not what I paid almost $200 for. While I love Shirley Caesar, her backup singer(s) sang most of the time that they were on stage. The setup was horrible. There have been monitors for those who did not have seats on the floor, so that we could actually see the artist. It is ridiculous that a concert that should have wrapped up at around 9:30/10:00... didn't end until almost midnight. My family and I will never attend another concert coordinated by the promoter of this show.
Really enjoyed the show. The Williams Brothers no show or whatever was disappointing. The Clark Sisters were the best overall. I enjoyed myself.
The concert was good. The sound could have been better. Often times you couldn’t hear The main speakers.
Sound system did not stand up to the quality of the artist.. Could not hear Twinkie Clark and Karen Clark-Sheard clearly. I had great seats 4 on the floor.
Overall the concert wa good. It was great to have the gospel legends in Rochester. I enjoyed it. I thought it was too long - 7 PM to almost midnight!! It appears there were a lot of fill in the time moments which made for a long night. For example- Divine Nature and Roderick had a lot of time and both were told to keep going. Also, the venue was toooooo cold!!!!!
The Clark Sisters were off the chain. You forgot that you were at a show. Shirley Ceaser gave many attendees an experience of a lifetime. I left feeling blessed.
The show was awesome if I had a chance to do it again I would I really enjoyed myself
It was a great show! The energy was high and the venue was top notch!
She was an incredible performance. Her backup singers phenomenal. Donald in particular was truly inspiring to watch. Her whole show was stunning and inspiring and got the crowd deeply involved. But the section of the show where that stupid politician got on stage to promote himself was an intrusion and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
I am still confused as to whether or not I was at a church banquet or a concert I actually paid money for. It was literally a hour and a half of them recognizing two Pastors I didn’t know nor care to know and a person running for political office speaking and talking. I had to keep asking my sister was I at a concert that “I” paid money for or was this free. She reminded me that yes I actually did pay to be held hostage by this promoter. Shirley Caesar basically directed her background singers for the 45 minutes she was on. Again I was very disappointed!
I really enjoyed the show. She really can sing and allowed the audience to participate.
So, this was advertised as a Shirley Caesar concert on the radio - - - even Shirley Caesar live on the radio promoted it as such. I invited my 78 year old wheelchair-bound mother to the concert because she has been a fan of Shirley since the beginning of her career. Instead of an evening of Shirley Caesar, it was a rewards ceremony which included politicians stumping! It was horrible, and it started at 5, but Shirley didn't get to perform until after 6:30pm for about 30 minutes. The mics SUCKED at first, and it took several times and songs in order for them to get right. Shirley did the best under the circumstances and was the best professional, but the promoters did a bait and switch on the concert, and that was outrageous. I would like my money back because I paid for Shirley Caeser, not the mayor of Fort Lauderdale and people running for Congress. Terrible
I took my Mom to this event who had us listening to Pastor since we were kids. It was a remarkable and unforgettable show.
Sometimes during the week but definitely on Sunday mornings, my mom or grandma would put on Ms. Caesars' song, "No Charge". To this day, my children can relate. I loved hearing her songs and my children do too. I THANKED GOD AND CRIED when she came on stage. I couldn't believe that I was there seeing her after ALL of these years. You did GREAT! I PRAY that GOD will give me that opportunity again!
This was a very inspirational concert. It was a great honor to be there as one the many mothers to be celebrated.
Love, Love, Love me some Shirley Caesar! Enjoyed the concert! My mom had a blast too! Mother's Day present was a success!!!!!!!
