About

Sheryl Underwood is the Emmy award winning co-host of The Talk on CBS, and is a highly sought after contemporary humorist who expertly balances her corporate presence with her streetwise comedy chops.  Never forgetting her roots in stand-up comedy or her early days on HBO's Def Comedy Jam and BET's Comic View, the Sheryl Underwood and Friends Tour fearlessly tackles race, politics, sex, and life, in a way that only she can.

Additionally, she has made numerous appearances on various television shows, including multiple episodes of the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless, the CBS comedy The Odd Couple and The Bold and The Beautiful. Her personality and energy have been showcased on shows like Funny You Should Ask and Celebrity Name Game. She has been a guest on Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump, host of the holiday gift-wrapping competition series Wrap Battle on Freeform television, and she and The Underwood Family emerged as winners on Celebrity Family Feud, generously donating their winnings to the Zeta National Educational Foundation.

  • Comedy Jam was Hilarious

by SouthfieldGirl on 5/12/13Atlanta Civic Center - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Sherryl Underwood was a great host and keep the show flowing nicely! Tommy Davison was the funniest comic of ALL! He needs to make his full comeback because he is a timeless classis commedian!!! Would have loved for him to have done the show by himself! Tony Rock was also great! Enjoyed his style of comedic delivery! Well... Eddie Griffin is unique! He started out well, but then went off into left field as he drank more and started talking about hating christians! He lost about half the audience the last 20 minutes of his segment. You can tell his is still struggling in life.

  • Not worth the cost

by TShack on 5/12/13Atlanta Civic Center - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

This show was an utter disappointment. Eddie Griffin was late, horrible, and quite annoying. There's a fine line between jokes and being offensive. Sheryl Underwood was hilarious. Unfortunately, she was the host, & only did brief bits of comedy. Tony Rock was good, and Tommy Davidson was ok. If this is a national tour, I suspect that it won't last much longer.

  • Mother's Day Comedy Jam

    by ilovecomedy27 on 5/12/13Atlanta Civic Center - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The comedy show was great except for Eddie Griffin. He had some extreme views that were not funny but rather insensitive. I will never go to see him again! Sheryl was hilarious!

  • Beware of Eddie Griffin

by ecamon on 5/12/13Atlanta Civic Center - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Eddie Griffin: If you are sensitive to Gay, Muslim, and Chrisition jokes and bigotry this is not the show for you.....he was obnoxious and offensive and rude and people were leaving....over use of the word racial and gay expletives Everyone else was excellend and on point

  • Tommy Davidson

    by BM49 on 5/12/13Atlanta Civic Center - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

He wasn't funny enough and he really didn't tell a lot of jokes .

Cheryl did not keep the show moving as the host. George Wilborn would have been better as the host.

show started late, the host was drinking ,wasn't dressed for the part of host,i think she was just there for a check, took up more time rambling on and on, then the other comics were rushed through their set. comics were average, nothing gut busting .

  • Expected More Than Delivered

    by JEFFED1 on 10/22/12Arie Crown Theater - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

There were some very funny moments with DC Curry & George Wilborn. The show lacked the stage energy which Georged helped to acknowledge and bring out by having the lighting crew turning up the volume on the speakers for the introductions! He also told the DJ that we wasn't a real DJ, all he had was a laptop! George identified 4 people - No Neck, Sweaterman, and two others! It was extremely funny! The McCormick Place seemed as though they did not want to get the crowd pumped up by keeping the music to a minimum. They are bogus as well for not allowing alcohol in the theater! We PAID, we WENT, we should have been able to drink a beverage if we chose to! This is the last time I'll visit that place for a concert. Bill Belomy was the headliner and he used old material! My wife was telling me the jokes while he was saying them.... Really? Come on Dude!

Show started almost 30 minutes late. The comedians were not all that funny. And for the money we paid the theatre seats were uncomfortable, it felt like being crammed in a school bus.

  • Lots of Laughs!

by Msboogee on 10/22/12Arie Crown Theater - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Sheryl Underwood was a good host, but I really loved DC Curry (who should have been the headline in stead of Bill Bellamy), but over all an excellent show. I would definitely go again. The crowd was boring not the acts!!!!!

As a whole the show was terrible Sheryl Underwood came out drunk to start the show which was started late. Though some of what she was saying was funny as a whole she really was terrible. My wife and I have seen these comedians before separately so we thought all together the show would be great but it was a total let down to our night. Tony Rock was pretty funny but his time was too short because the show didn't start on time. One comedian wanted to start his segment over because the crowd excitement was so low because of the lack of funny jokes, professionalism etc. plus he asked someone to get his cell phone because his wife was calling. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!! I really would like my money back for the poor perfomance, lack of respect for peoples time & money but most of all the UNPROFESSIONALISM DISPLAYED. Just because you have been in an industry for a certai amount of years it doesn't give you the right to disrespect your audience or your industry like that. It was wrong from the start...
