About

The Wayans family is filled with talented members, so there is no surprise that the two youngest brothers, Shawn and Marlon Wayans, have followed in their family's footsteps as Hollywood icons. These two comedic prodigies have accomplished a lot in their relatively short careers so far.
Both Shawn and Marlon Wayans made their acting debut in 1989 in their brother Keenen Ivory Wayans' feature film "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka." Immediately following their feature film debut, they joined the cast of the Emmy Award winning comedy series, "In Living Color."
"The Wayans Bros." sitcom, which Shawn and Marlon created and starred in, was the first WB show to be sold into syndication after heading up the WB network lineup for five years.
Shawn and Marlon's past film credits include the hit comedy "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood," which they co-wrote, produced and starred in together. The movie was a comic spoof of the coming-of-age-in-the-hood movies and is a huge cult favorite.
More recently Shawn and Marlon starred in the box office hit, "Little Man" and "White Chicks," both of which they also co-wrote and produced. The brothers began co-writing this string of blockbusters with the smash "Scary Movie" where they also starred along side each other, and was directed by their brother Keenen Ivory Wayans. Co-written, produced and starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans, "Scary Movie 2" was the only sequel in the "Scary Movie" franchise with direct Wayans involvement. Shawn and Marlon were next seen on the big screen in "Dance Flick," the new comedy co-written with brother Keenen Ivory, which premiered in May, 2009.
Shawn and Marlon, along with their brothers and sisters, created "Thugaboo" and the subsequent "Boo Crew" animated specials for Nickelodeon, which began premiering in August, 2006. In addition to creating, the Wayans are also writing, directing and voicing the series which takes a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of nine inner city kids. TheBooCrew.com released in fall, 2009 and plans are underway to turn The Boo Crew into a daily comic strip. Marlon also starred in the 2009 blockbuster "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" where he played Ripcord, the G.I. Joe team HALO's jumper. When not producing and starring in hit movies or on the road performing standup, Shawn and Marlon can be found hard at work in the "lab" where the Wayans siblings are busy concocting their next project.

    Marlon & Shawn are grrrreat!

    by Missy121800 on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Great is an understatement. These guys were amazing. The jokes they had were just non-stop hilarious. Before one could stop laughing at a joke they'd throw another crazy one your way...lol Going from Lady Gaga's song to Justin Bieber's work to Rihanna....things were just off the hook. Next time the Wayans brothers are in town, I most definitely will attend.

I almost wet my pants from laughing.

by HDSG on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The Wayans brothers were hilarious. Strong adult content , that was not for the prudish type, but I thought it was off the charts. Marlon who started off the show , engaged the audience by talking about Boston Sports . He was dead on with with his imitations of the Celtics . And when he got into the OBAMA's . OMG. Funny stuff. Shawn .... Made my side hurt from laughing. From teaching his son to go to the bathroom, deaf girl in the club, and his description of women and men cheating, I could not catch my breath from laughing so hard. And cudos to the M.C. He was also hilarious. MARLON AND SHAWN, I LOVED YOU GUYS. PLEASE COME BACK TO BOSTON SOON.

Shawn and Marlon was crazy funny!

by cgnr on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The show was great! I couldn't stop laughing, and was crying through the entire show..... but in a good way. However, the Wilbur Theatre needs to work on the air conditioning in the building. It was way too hot, and I had a hard time trying to enjoy the show. So Wilbur Theatre please work on the air conditioning. Other than that, spectacular show!

by juneezy on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The show was hilarious. the host had a great act for boston with his new edition dancing lol. Marlon Started off very funny the whole time. Shawn had a nice session, and ended with decent relationship advice. But the Theater was HOTTER THAN HELL!!! wear draws to this place and thats about it. It felt like they kept turning the A/C on for 2 minutes and then shutting it off for 30 minutes.

    The Best Ever

by burberrysw on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

These 2 were hilarious and their opening acts were even better. My boyfriend and I were laughing every minute through out the show. They talked about everything from race, groupie love, and politics...and they even connected with the audience by showing some Boston Love. I would def go to another show they perform for. They are even more hilarious uncensored and that was a fact.

I officially love the Wayans brothers

    by GrkArtist216 on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Marlon and Shawn Wayans were unbelievably funny. My husband and I left there with our cheeks hurting...our smiles were stuck. Even the host was hysterical. I cried laughing. I am a huge fan of comedy and this was by far one of the best shows I've ever been to. p.s. their jokes were dirty as hell but still way funny!!!

the Wayans were nasty and just plain indecent

by yuhbigbros on 8/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

when I heard the Wayans brothers were coming to Boston, I was excited at first but as time passed I was skeptical about it given I had never watched them do stand up comedy. However with the persuasion of a friend and given the standard of their movies and sitcom, I decided to go see their stand up. All I can say is that the show was disappointing. There were bits in between jokes were you could smile but hardly any joke was funny enough to really make you laugh. 85% of the jokes were sexual jokes and got too explicit many times. These brothers had nothing to amuse themselves with apart from their nasty activities with women and even men. People go to a comedy show to laugh and not for you to expose your dirty lifestyle WAYANS! sexual jokes are okay if they occupy 5% of your show but going on and on about this position and that position just gets old. Anyway, to all out there, DON't go to the Wayans brothers. Just a waste of money and corruption of your mind.
