    not worth it

by cjkopec on 1/26/16Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Shatner's World is a classic example of someone taking advantage of their fame to make even more money. There were a few interesting stories and some laughs, but overall I was not impressed. Several stories took forever to tell and the payoff was minimal. He was hard to understand some of the time, either whispering or talking too fast to understand.

    Very, Very Long Evening

by SadAboutShatner on 1/26/16Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

During the entire evening, only one reference to Star Trek and one reference to Denny Craine. The remainder of the very long evening was about his life in Canada and something about a horse. Very, Very long evening!

    Shatner shines

by Anduwa on 1/24/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

William Shatner, at the age of 84 gave a two hour one man performance worthy of a man half his age. The difference is that a man half his age wouldn't have the life experiences that he has or be the consummate entertainer that he is. He had the crowd laughing from his introduction, which he did himself. If I were to mention one disappointment, the only disappointment, it would be the meet and greet that I paid extra for. It felt very rushed. Also, no autographs were allowed. Other than that, I would highly recommend this show to any Shatner fans out there!

    The legend called Shatner

by Gazzo on 1/24/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Great seats to witness the background story of a man that defines joy to so many generations. It's not just his Star Trek iconic status but roles such as Boston Legal that prove Shatner is one of the last links to the studio player/theater/television greats. His tongue in cheek approach to most of his performance was welcomed by the audience that loves him so dearly. This was mixed with some emotional scenes concerning his personal life that brought forth huge amounts of sympathy. This can only be effective truly live theater when people completely believe and identify with its portrayer. Wonderful evening of jokes, emotion and life events. I am so glad I attended.
