First of all, the show started really late. Then Shaq was the host of the show and he did not show up. Also, I didnt notice everyone on the lineup. I may or may not go next year, depends on the lineup.
Over all it was ok... I was not on the floor laughing.. A lot of the jokes I have heard the comedians say before on other standups. The only one that was really funny was Corey..
They could have come up with some new materials would have made up for the show starting late.
This was my first time attending one of Shaq's Allstar event and I would have to say I was not pleased at all. The only person I was familiar with name wise was Tommy Davidson and he was a hot mess! His appearance was wretched and he was not funny at all. Half the time I did not know what he was talking about. Should I attend another one of these I will definitely see who's on the lineup before purchasing tickets!
The host (Gary) was great and two (Aries and Tommy) other acts were also great. I must admit I was shocked that Corey Holcomb was last - he's really not that funny to me. Apparently, someone thinks he is.
Comedy Show wasn't as funny as expected. There were several people talking during the event making it hard to hear. The comedians were hard to hear as well.
I was disappointed in the show. The lineup was just not a good mix. There were moments during the show that I just wanted to scream & not from laughter. There was nothing "All Star" about it
I am going to be brief. This show was well worth the money spent to celebrate my 2 yr anniversay kickoff! It is not all we are doing but the show kept us laughing and that is helpful in a marriage to have quality time together. I laughed the whole show from the host Chris all the way to the last comic standing!
Besides the snow and the long drive .... really enjoyed the show
IT was great. Great view ... Only problem .. Due to the weather one of the seats was empty and the promoter didnt try to do anything to help me ...
The show started 45 minitues late, and they needed a couple of nationally known comedians to carry the load (in addition to the line up) for the money that they charged. Shaq should make an appearance at least.
The headliner was not good. He only joked about sex. Everyone else was good, but I dont feel i got my money's worth.
Shaquille O'Neal's Comedy Jam is worth the time, but the show he had here for superbowl was a 50/50 rating. The reason why this is so is because Gary Owens was a good MC/host. The comedians that were brought to the show were familiar faces from previous shows Shaq has had. The shows have been on cable and of course on DVD. The comedians said A LOT of the same material as the previous shows years back. COME UP WITH SOME ORIGINAL ACTS!!!! QUIT DOING THE SAME STUFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I highly recommend that Shaq gets some of the comdians that were on Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment stand up. Then It will be a show to look forward to. Not just anybody either.
Great seats for a great cost. Had a wonderful time.
absolutely horrible!!! to short and not funny at all. I was completely disappointed. Why is Shaq name included, he wasn't there. chairs need to be redone at the majestic, very uncomfortable.
I had a great time! Shaq wasn't there but that's ok. The comedians were very funny and I did have lots of nice laughs despite the cold weather. Glad everyone on the line up showed up. The DJ was great!
Excellent event. We very much enjoyed each one of the comedians. I really recommend this event to anyone who would like to have a good laugh.
I loved gary owen's performance. Wished he would have done all of the show. I didn't care much for the other performers. I didn't find them funny at all.
All four acts put on very liitle effort. The whole show was boring. The only high point was the MC. The intro's were terrible and not organized. They left us hanging at the end. The TV events are usually very funny. I think it thrown together and Dallas was cheated. The DJ was not in sync with the acts at all. Please let Shaq read this and we went because of his previous shows. The product was overpriced for what we saw.
some of the comedians were sayin the same ol stuff from a year ago..it snot funny when you heard the same joke over and over.
