There are some talents that are too dynamic, too sexy, too significant to remain just a name on someone else's liner notes. Sure, it is a spot where Sevyn Streeter has thrived, crafting hits for Alicia Keys ("New Day"), Chris Brown ("Yeah 3x"), Fantasia ("Get it Right") and Ariana Grande ("The Way"). But as any ticket buyer fortunate enough to catch her high-energy tour dates with kindred spirit K. Michelle can attest, this sultry Floridian has simply too much to offer on the concert stage to stay behind the curtain for long.
Born Amber Denise Streeter, her early life was the picture of musical determination, with the church-trained singer placing first at Showtime at the Apollo at age 10 and scoring her first recording contract by 16. Now an adult, she hasn't had to wait for her first full-fledged album to find chart success, scoring a top 20 R&B hit with "I Like It" as well as a top five with "It Won't Stop" off her extended play EP Call Me Crazy ButÉ.. This is not just an artist with a sultry voice and dynamic stage presence, but a musician that has only started to tap everything she has to say about love, relationships and her own womanhood.

The show was amazing! She slayed from beginning to end !
I loved the intimate venue, bc u had a good view of her no matter where you stood. She has the voice of an angel! After the concert she was patient and very friendly at the "meet&greet"! It made me love her even more!
I was presently surprised at this event. I have never seen Sevyn Streeter perform and I've never been to a concert at the Howard Theatre and I really enjoyed this event. It was standing room only but there was plenty of room to move around and get a good spot to see the stage.
I loved every minute of her show!!!! Avery Wilson did a great job too!
Took my sister for her early birthday and we both had an amazing time. With Avery Wilson starting off the show, it was spectacular!!!
Sevyn is so talented. She has an amazing voice and she danced all night. I would love to see her again!
It was an amazing show even though it started late
The show was suppose to start at 8 Sevyn didn't go on until about 1030. I like Sevyn but it shouldn't have taken that long for her to come out even with an opening act.
A great performer! Voice was amazing, dancing was great too!
SEVYN WAS AWESOME, just as I imagined her to be. Her voice is amazing and her songs speaks VOLUMES. Avery Wilson was Amazing also.
Her performance and vocals were on a level of amazing! Love her concert!
I love sevyn's music and always wanted to see her live and I enjoyed it and had fun.
I absolutely love Sevyn. I called 93.9 over 300 times to be caller number 18 to win free tickets. I was caller number 15 so I ended up having to pay for the ticket. It was beyond worth it! That was my first time seeing her live and she was amazing. I'm from New York and I just moved to the DC area 3 months ago. Sunday night at Sevyn Streeter's show was the most fun that I had in a long time. I screamed every song verbatim to the top of my lungs. The next day my voice was gone lol. She is an outstanding performer and a billon dollar live singer. I can't wait to see her again and this time I'm sticking around for a fan selfie lol. I love you Sevyn! Your heart is gold and you are beyond beautiful to me!!!
I had received tickets as a gift as my friend knew I absolutely adored Sevyn Streeter. Her talent is undeniable as well as her appeal visually, lyrically, vocally. The show however left me wanting more. And I'm currently undecided if that's a good or bad thing. Sevyn did not perform until about 930 pm. The show "started" at 8. The opener Avery I believe was a good talent and gained my attention with the first note he sang as I was already waiting I grew a bit skeptical of what the show would give me. After his set there was additional wait time and then finally Sevyn. I had been waiting so now I was excited to finally see who I came here for. Setting the playlist like a story, talking and interacting in between much like her current album engaged the audience. And it's in those moments I felt Sevyn was genuine and down to earth. The dancers performed well and I felt I've seen her dance better. I'm unsure of what delayed her presence at the show but did I feel like she gave it her all, NO. I won't necessarily blame her for the sound quality. Some portions of the show were too loud where I sat in the booths. Unsure if it sounded different to those who stood on the floor. But I guess in the end I would have enjoyed the slightly Over and hour long set more if I didn't have to wait an hour and half for it. I joked with my friend I don't even think Rihanna had me waiting that long to see her show and even if she did I totally forgot with the SHOW she put on. Sevyn is more talented than her so I expected more. Will I go see her again, indefinitely. It was a personal show, I felt connected. I just wanted more from such a talent.
Sevyn is a high energy, fun loving spirit on the stage! She did most of her songs which was great. Most of the crowd were big fans and sung along so it made hearing her hard sometimes. When ever she comes back to Philly I will definitely be going to see her again.
The venue wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but overall I enjoyed the show. The only downside was that there is not any seating directly in front of the stage only off to the sides and in the back of the room. So if you want a seat I suggest arriving early. Other than that it was good. I did not drink but there was a bar so I'm not sure what the prices were. Altogether it was a fun Show, she interacted with the crowd very well and sung a lot of her hits. Definitely would attend another one of her shows!
