About

Atlanta’s Sevendust is a metal band that perfectly melds thrash, classic metal, southern rock and soul together into a beautifully balanced yet brutally heavy modern metal mix. The quintet of Morgan Rose (drums), Vince Hornsby (bass), guitarists John Connolly and Clint Lowery (who rejoined the band in 2008) and frontman Lajon Witherspoon, released their ninth studio album, "Black Out The Sun," in 2013. The album hit the Billboard 200 charts at No. 18 and the Top Hard Music Albums Chart at No. 1. Hailed as a return to where it all began, "Black Out The Sun" has been compared to "Animosity" (2001), one of their most popular albums and the third studio album they released after forming in 1994. It also produced Sevendust’s Top Ten single, "Decay," which continues to grace playlists across the globe.

Boasting driving drums, smooth yet deep bass, heavy and melodic guitars and sweeping vocal melodies, Sevendust is possibly best known for their brutally energetic live performances. Fan favorite, Lajon Witherspoon, captures the crowd's attention early and never let’s go. It is evident from his huge smile that he loves what he is doing, and fans leave Sevendust concerts feeling loved by the band. The diversity and genuine talent of Sevendust shines through their live performances, which often include acoustic versions of their songs. However, the intensity never wanes, and the pits are as aggressive as any that bands like Lamb of God or Hatebreed can produce. Sevendust fans will always vie for tickets whenever Sevendust comes to their city.

After finishing headlining the From Death to Destiny Tour, with Asking Alexandria, All That Remains, For Today and Emmure, Sevendust plan to begin recording their first studio acoustic album. Fans and critics alike clearly see that Sevendust is a band that has it all and never disappoints.

    SevenDust and NonPoint

by SuperFreaky on 10/4/22Fillmore New Orleans - New Orleans

Sevendust was incredible as always. Nonpoint seems to get even better with age. Fillmore NoLa needs to have more Rock shows. As for The Fillmore itself, I love the layout and The bathrooms are always clean (and can house 100 drunken fans). My only beef is the drink prices. Way too high

Best live band on the planet

by Josh W. on 10/4/22Fillmore New Orleans - New Orleans

Ive seen sevendust over 60 times live and have been in love with the energy they bring every time. If you are considering buying a ticket to the show, just do it. Buy a shirt or two while your there. These guys always bring it. Buy a VIP and meet them and you will find these to be some of the best people you'll ever meet. Come to a show where the fans are family and the music ranges from tear the roof off the place to have you holding back tears. Sevendust will show you all sides of beautiful and have you leaving the venue wanting more. Go see them!

    Sevendust is amazing!

by Stevdy on 10/4/22Fillmore New Orleans - New Orleans

Good show overall. Three opening bands was a lot, especially when one of them was pretty bad. The other two were fun to watch though. Sevendust was amazing as usual. I will say that the acoustics were off a little. Clint's microphone made him sound like a high pitch squeal at times and some of Morgan's drumming was louder than Lajon singing. Sounded like gun fire from time to time. Venue was really cool! Could have used some type of candy in the concession. Overall we had a great time!

    Just Plain Awesome

by Amanda P on 9/27/22Palladium Times Square - New York City

Sevendust is a band I’ve been looking to see for a while and they most certainly did not disappoint. From the music to the performance they put on, I had such a great time. Lajon’s emotion when singing was unreal.

    Simply Amazing

by JP on 9/25/22The Vixen - McHenry

Have to love when bands are humble and truly take appreciation for their fans. First time at The Vixen and I have to say it was a great venue for me. There are a few different staggered height levels which allowed me a clear view of the stage. I tip my hat to “Burden of the Sky”… amazing opening band and local to IL. I do plan to see them again. Nonpoint and Sevendust…. Just wow! They seem to really love their fans and love to engage with them. The sound was on point and allowed me to engage my mind on the true talents I was witnessing. I can’t wait to see them both again in the future. If you get the chance to see them, DO IT! You will be very happy you did. Lastly, $37.50?!?!? For 4 bands?!?!?! Best money I’ve spent in years. An experience I will never forget.

    Best small venue

by Debi on 9/25/22The Vixen - McHenry

First time seeing 7D.....great small venue..no distortion...saw Nonpoint with them. Couldn't ask for a better show, my pants felt a breeze from the bass...lights and sound on point...set up between bands was done flawlessly ...crowd being sold out was a good size to be able to enjoy performance...I'd give a 10 if I could...

    Best band ever

by Dustin on 9/23/22Harrah's Cherokee Resort Event Center - Cherokee

I’ve seen Sevendust 70+ times since the late 90s when they toured with Clutch and Limp Bizkit. They get better and better as they mature. The fans are family and it’s a special connection every time I see them. Do not miss out on these legends!

    Never disappoint

by Coreilly1 on 9/21/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I first met the guys on their first tour to New England and their live set sounded even better than their cd. Got to know them a bit by having a few beers with them after the show. Nicest guys yoy could meet. I've now been to countless concerts and from the first show where they said they considered the fans as family its true to date. I introduced my girlfriend to their music back on their debut cd and she has been hooked ever since. She has also gotten to get to know the guys and has been to most all of the shows that ive been to. Their music is relatable to all of us and their music is very deep. They are true performers and never disappoint. Definitely recommend putting going to a show on your bucket list.
