Glad it was free. Interesting people watching. Marcy Playground's version of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen was great. that is about it.

Show stunk, the venue was horrible. It wasn't well advertised and there was hardly anyone there. I felt bad for the bands but then I heard them play.

    glad i got in free

by yoyobubbles on 4/18/10Memorial Hall - Kansas City

show was ok, sponge was decent, but basically the same stuff i saw 13ish years ago at lolapalooza... marcy playground was pretty lame, we left before seven mary three came on because my daughter was sick, i wasnt even bummed to leave early. i would have been annoyed had i paid to go, or if the show had been better, but eh, it was free, so whatever.

Seven Mary Three was not at all expected....

by drekjc on 4/18/10Memorial Hall - Kansas City

The show seemed to be an afterthought to most who came. My understanding is that 800 tix were sold and 300 given to the local govt to distribute. Even that did not present a full house. Far from it. The crowd was mostly listless and so was the performance. Sponge was unforgetttable. As was Marcy Playground. Although more engaging still not able to get anything moving. By the time Seven Mary Three arrived onstage the damage was done. Interest had waned to become non-existent. All in all a truly unforgettable experience.

    7M3 Still Has It

by rockstarpgh on 3/30/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

This was my first time seeing Seven Mary Three live. I was really impressed with how good they were, despite how long it's been since their most popular songs were released. It was great to hear some of their newer music, as well as the favorites. They played My My, Water's Edge, Cumbersome, Sleepwalking, etc. I have to mention that the first two local Pittsburgh bands were absolutely horrible. The third band, Small Town Sleeper, was actually on tour with 7M3 and were really good. I had a chance to buy their cd and talk to both their singer and guitar player. I was definitely impressed. Overall, the night was a little long with 3 opening bands, but 7M3 put on a good show. No encour though....but they did play for quite a while. The venue is small bar that could be much nicer than it is, if it weren't for all the riff-raff and drugs in the background.

    ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

    by hillie16 on 3/29/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

For those that have ever seen me play a jam night, or one of my few solo shows, or have heard me playing songs at all, you know that pretty much 75% of what I play is Seven Mary Three covers. For anyone who only knows the band from the song "Cumbersome" you don't know what you're missing. They've put out 6 studio and one live album since then, each better than the last, though I'd probably recommend Dis/Location as my favorite. Radio stations shove garbage down your throat, feeding you stuff that barely qualifies as music these days. 7M3 should be headlining stadium tours with the quality of MUSIC they put out. MUSIC!!! Not samples, not beats, not dance crap...REAL MUSIC.

    Fantastic

    by VeeBee83 on 3/27/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

I thought the show was great! They had plenty of bands to entertain the masses before the main show and when 7M3 finally came on they were amazing. The venue could have been a little busier, more energy from the crowd but that did not take away from the experience. Loved it!!!

    Amazing show

    by Orionz06 on 3/27/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

I have always listened to 7M3, the radio plays them, but I never had much of their songs. Last night sold as many CD's as they have produced. The energy in the show and effort was incredible. A very awesome show to say the least.

The concert was awesome AS ALWAYS! Even though he was sick he still rocked out and kept the crowd going all night long. I could do without so many opening bands but it adds to the suspense.... Seven Mary Three is still one of the greatest bands of all time! We will be there next year!

    7M3 rocked!..Opening acts-not so much

by CasualRocker on 12/1/09House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

So I realize how much effort it takes to be in a band and perform on stage; not to mention having the talent to make it that far..but...the opening acts for Seven Mary Three were less than desirable as the audience lost interest 1 song into the first band. You couldn't make out what the lyrics were to the songs and most of the songs sounded ridiculously similar. The second band was gradually better than the first, but still had the audience wondering when the agony would cease. Unfortunately, the applause at the end of the first two band's performance was not in appreciation for thier entertainment but rather in appreciation for their exit. (harsh) Now, Seven Mary Three finally came out and revived the dismal audience into a head-bobbing group of entertained fans. As I am not a die-hard fan, I think at first they had the audience confused as they played some less popular songs but still entertaining. Nevertheless, once the premium selections from the American Standard album were played the audience was immediately transported back 10+ years in good ol' American Hard Rock fashion. You have to appreciate the talent that this group has collectively and the unique sound of lead singer Jason Ross; as well as how humble they come across in thier stage presence. I will definitely be looking for more good things to come!

by dionysos1776 on 11/28/09House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Saw them for the 6th time and never been let down. The HOB in Orlando is a great venue for the band too, since they are from the area.
