The surprisingly deep vocals of a 16-year-old Scotty McCreery not only snagged him a ticket to Hollywood in the 11th season of “American Idol,” but it also earned him the top spot and a record deal with Mercury Nashville. His 2011 major label debut “Clear as Day” topped The Billboard 200 upon its release, spreading his fresh take on throwback country across the continent.
McCreery, who draws comparisons to the baritone vocals and country twang of seasoned performer Randy Travis, supported superstar Brad Paisley and The Band Perry on tour before taking off on his own string of U.S. headlining concerts. The 2012 Teen Choice Awards nominee for Choice Male Country star is moving more toward the country-pop genre with his sophomore studio set, “See You Tonight,” thanks in large part to his collaboration with producer Frank Rogers (Darius Rucker, Josh Turner). He’s also expanded into the holiday album market with 2012’s aptly-titled “Christmas with Scotty McCreery.”
Good concert. Scott was very funny. Loved the videos in background.
I've followed Scotty since he won on idol I would love to see him again Ik all his songs by heart but the show he put on was more then I expected it was great
Scotty put on a fantastic show. He is a great entertainer! I especially liked him sharing his personal story including his family and what led him to a career in music. He is extremely talented and I’m happy to hear he will be inducted into the grand ole opry! He certainly deserves it. I hope to see his show again next time he’s in the area.
Loved Scotty he put on an Excellent concert, i would most definitely recommend for anyone to highly go see him! The only downside I had was the people walking in and out constantly to go buy the beer, it was a big disappointment you constantly had to leave the people in an out and then they were walking in front of you and they would block your view of the concert! I would recommend not selling the beer!
Scotty put on a wonderful concert!! Very emotional sharing his personal experiences & beautiful pictures of his family as well as pictures of him growing up. And Anne Wilson his opening act was terrific!!
Thank u for bringing Scotty McCreery yo Johnstown. Such an energetic show & we lived every minute of it!
This concert was Amazing!!! Love how he incorporated his family into his songs and videos in the background. Definitely will be going to see him again.
Scotty McCreery could sing anything and make it sound good. I'm glad he's finally getting recognition. He's such a good down to earth person
Good venue Played too many just released songs from the album just released that day
The Landmark Theatre is a beautiful, old building. The first act Noah West was amazing and the sound was perfect to hear throughout the theatre as it is an indoor venue; not too loud for the size of the venue, and we were higher up in the seating and heard him perfectly. Anne Wilson was amazing and the sound was much louder than it needed to be based on the size of the indoor venue. Scotty McCreery was amazing and the sound was extremely loud for the indoor size of the venue. During Anne and Scotty's appearance, I had to have my hands covering my ears due to the sound being too loud. Normally, I always have ear plugs with me, but I forget them in the hotel room.
It was a pure pleasure to meet Scotty McCreery He is just an amazing young man who loves his fans his wife his son . He truly made the fans Feel like part of the show I would see him again and meet him again if I got the chance.
Went to see a concert at 7:30 Scotty never came on to sing at around 9:20. Found out he was at a meet and greet! You don’t keep your audience waiting that long for the main act
This was our first show at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse. Beautiful venue. Scotty McCreery provided amazing entertainment. We love it when an artist speaks to the audience…about his life, musical history and connection to the community where he is performing. The show exceeded our expectations!
Loved the singing and the explanation of what the songs meant to him.
I thought Scotty put on a great performance! He's a genuine guy, and I appreciate his candidness. Can't wait for next year! Keep up the great work!
Scotty McCreery is one hell of an entertainer. He knows how to deliver a sincere message; really connects with the audience. Love his song writing skills.
Scotty is a wonderful entertainer. He is honest and sincere. My daughter and I loved the show.
I would give Scotty McCreery 5 stars. He was very entertaining! Loved hearing stories about American Idol, his personal experiences in show business, and overcoming some challenges in his career. He played all of the hits that I have heard on the radio and lots of cover songs that were fun. The venue (MGM Music Hall in Fenway) was also fantastic. There is not a bad view in the house. I felt like I never waited very long for drinks. The bathroom lines were long at times but moved quickly. I even scored a parking spot right on Landsdowne St. which was amazing. The one complaint I'd have is that the openers were extremely talented, but it felt a little bit more like attending church than a concert at times. Especially Anne Wilson the 2nd opener. She was a great singer, but she sang mostly about Jesus in almost every single song (well, every song except for Amazing Grace, which is also a very religious song!). I went to church and youth group etc. growing up, sent my kids to a Catholic school when they were younger, but I just didn't really enjoy the performance that much because it felt a little too over the top focused on religion, and it wasn't at all what I was expecting when going to see a country concert on a Friday night in Boston. Scotty McCreery also had a song that was a little more religious than I expected, but only one of his many songs that he performed. I really would have preferred less of a religious focus from the opening bands, especially from a tour labeled "Cab in a Solo"(with absolutely no hint at the strong emphasis on religion) and based on the songs I hear on the radio from Scotty McCreery.
Scotty was an absolute amazing artist to see in person! He’s such a gifted singer with so many ranges as well as a very personable story teller . Sharing stories if his journey to become the singer /singerwriter /person just added to the night . Highly recommend attending his concerts!!
This was my 4th concert and I am disappointed because of the opening performers (which went on entirely too long). The first performer, nick, was often off key and blasting. The second perfomer had an excellent band and was a much better singer, but I was taken aback by her music. When I googled her I realized that she is a Christian music artist. I didn't want to be at a Christian music concert and feel that I will be very cautious about attending more of Scotty's concerts.
