About

Proving that everything new can be old again, pianist Scott Bradlee has become a viral pop sensation after creating a series of clips for YouTube that finds him and his ad hoc group Postmodern Jukebox reworking 21st century pop hits in a variety of vintage styles -- transforming Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" into a '50s-style doo wop number, giving Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" a '20s jazz accent, crossing Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" with Irish folk music, and showing how Ke$ha's "Die Young" would work as a classic country tune.

Upbeat, energetic, wonderful talent and great music. Who could ask for more. Best show I've seen in a long time. The emcee/entertainer/singer was fabulous.

    Nothing but Energy

    by Ritch P on 11/10/23Rialto Theatre-Tucson - Tucson

PMJ is such an amazing time. The music gets your heart and soul racing and begging for more. The soulful arrangements and the toe tapping energy is all in balance and filled with such a youthful exuberance. I will definitely be looking to go to another show when they come back thru town.

    What a night !

    by Bruno G. on 7/5/23

3rd time seeing PMJ in Montreal and the performances are better each time: the introduction of a MC in the show brought a new dynamic and added to the festive ambiance. What a show... the music and singing have always been the foundational pieces, then came the tap dance, the chorus lines, the band joining in on the fun with solos and cameos and now the MC. For my girlfriend it was a first and despite the large number of shows she has been to here and in Europe, she just was seduced and couldn't shake the grin on her face all evening. I could have taken 2 more hours of it... Just a phenomenally fun evening.

    Come back again...soon!

    by WackyBMW on 7/4/23

The only reason I did not mark it as 5 Stars was due to the lighting in the event space. We were in the balcony and there were two banks of lighting pointing back at us which made it difficult to see the performance due to the glare from the lights. Not sure why they were needed. PMJ was GREAT as usual! Man the drummer can sing!

    Fabulous concert perfect venue

by West Michigan Michael on 7/3/23

I’ve always been a fan of PMJ and realize that the artist change from location to location . In say that I was ready for anything including disappointment . I was blown away with the talent on display that evening . Plus some came out to the lobby afterwards and greeted the crowd as we left . Loved it

    Big voices, high energy

    by MegC on 7/3/23

PMJ’s shows are powerful, engaging, magnificent—and so, so much fun. The level of talent of every single musician involved is nothing short of remarkable. The project’s recordings are well done and give a great peek at their capabilities, but the live shows are phenomenal.

    Fantastic performance by PMJ

    by Z. G. on 7/3/23

The Postmodern Jukebox: Life In The Past Lane show was fantastic from start to finish! All of the performers and the band gave 110%, and their joyful energy was palpable. The sound design was perfect for the acoustics of the venue, and every note could be heard clearly. I will definitely be attending their future events in my area! 5/5 stars.

    Fabulous!

by Lori on 6/18/23River Cree Resort & Casino - Enoch

I took my husband, who is a musician, to see Post Modern Jukebox for his “half birthday” (his birthday is in December and sometimes gets overshadowed!). He had no idea where we were going or what we were seeing. The show started and he was completely captivated, as we all were!! The quality of musicianship, including the tap dancer who kept better time than any we’ve ever seen — she was phenomenal — was unparalleled! So much fun, so energetic, the time just flew by! Scott Bradlee, you are a master, and you bring joy to everyone! Thank you!

    Top Notch

by Kris Ehlert on 6/17/23River Cree Resort & Casino - Enoch

I got to meet the incredibly talented @tatum_langley at the @rivercreeresort after the @pmjofficial concert. Hands down one of the best performances i've ever been to. Top to bottom, each member of their band & performing crew are top notch...Tatum told me this was her 1st tour in Canada; here's to hoping it definitely won't be the last! If you haven't heard this woman's singing yet, 10/10, voice of an angel.

    An Amazing Performance

by Jordan F. on 6/8/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Their performance was phenomenal! The music was sensational, but what really made it stand out was their level of engagement with the crowd. I will for sure be seeing them perform again in the future!

    Half a PMJ sandwich

by Mark on 6/7/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

My anticipation was vibrant. With an ever growing number of songs on my playlist. I’ve been telling friends and family to check out the creative artistry of PMJ videos. Scott Bradlee’s brilliant compositions of modern songs in classic styles combined with talented musicians and dramatically expressive singers produce captivating videos. Each one unique, I have spent entire evenings watching one after another. Seated next to an excited fan who had seen the live show several times only amplified my anticipation. But where’s Scott Bradlee’s? Oh well, he always plays low key in the videos. Surely the stand in will be a brilliant pianist. By halfway through, my obsession began to wain. With the scantily clad singer’s acts drifting deeper into burlesque, my wife’s lack of applause was resonating. An awkward strip tease act only intensified that component of the show. And “oh no” not another full song of tap dance. Two or three would have been plenty. In the end, half of the live show was entertaining and lived up to my expectations. We got another fantastic interpretation of Radioheads Creep. I’ll stick to the videos.

    Post Modern Jukebox

by Dough on 6/6/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

I thought there would be more performers. The show seemed short. The tap dancer and the drummer were the standouts. Everyone else was OK. The band was very good also.

They were excellent. Wife and I didn’t really know what to expect, our first time seeing them live. Exceeded all our expectations. Great night out.
