SCORPIONS IN CONCERT:
German band Scorpions has been electrifying audiences since the early '70s with their signature hard-rocking melodic metal and power ballads. With the 2010 release of their 17th studio album Sting in the Tail, the band proved that age had far but mellowed them, kicking off another high-energy tour that has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see them in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"What a blistering, incredible and energetic concert the Scorpions put on tonight at American Airlines Center. Wailing guitar riffs and solos, thundering rhythms, and of course Klaus Meine's signature, crystal clear, high tenor voice soaring across the arena…Tonight the teenage boy in me returned for one last concert with my favorite band ever."
"The Scorps sounded AWESOME and the energy was AWESOME. They were having so much fun on stage and it showed…They were very interactive with their fans by throwing guitar picks and drumsticks whenever they had the chance!"
"This band still sounds amazing, and their body of work is awesome…They put on a great show as always and I would love to see them again!"
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Scorpions are one of the most successful European bands in music history, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1969, their early hard rock albums gained attention in Europe and Japan, but it wasn’t until they dropped more radio-friendly albums like 1982's Blackout and 1984's Love At First Sting that they found international fame. Over the years the band has developed a reputation for being an outstanding live act, with Klaus Meine delivering some of the most pitch-perfect live vocals in the history of rock.
Another absolutely awesome show!!! These guys are still rocking and sound amazing!! So glad I came for 2 shows.
Was amazing we loved the concert. Venue was good. Scorpions were awesome and ugly kid Joe were very good.
So worth it. The band was awesome, fun, engaging, and kick ass. Nostalgic for an almost 60 year old. They were simply awesome. Music and singing spit on
Scorpions may have thought about retirement, but they don't show their age. High intensity performance with lots of fan love. So glad to have seen them live & in person. Beautiful background videos, great song selections, non-stop, old-school rock n roll!
Loved this show! I’ve seen the Scorpions 3 previous times over the past 30 years & this time was the best. The groups interaction with the audience was so much fun. And the vocals were incredible!! Venue was also great. If you’re a fan of Rock & Roll then this is a must see show.
Went to this show hoping for some classic 80’s songs instead ended up leaving before they even got to songs I knew. First 45 was an opening band who I would describe as metal not rock. Their cover songs were better than their original songs. It was a little more than an hour after the show started that the Scorpions finally got on stage. They did a few songs that I wasn’t familiar with and there was just a lot of lights and screens flashing, not much performance. The band played well and they performed decently, but it was more hard rock rather than the classic rock I was hoping for. After two hours of music I wasn’t enjoying, I left and never heard the songs I wanted to hear. Very disappointing
Incredible show. Great venue at the Bakkt Theater, Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, NV. Seen these guys 6 times now. Just as good now as ever! Mathias Jabs is one of the most underrated guitar players known to man. His guitar playing is impeccable - beautiful and smooth...
Thank you Scorpions...so glad I got to see you. Worth every penny
What an amazing show if I lived in Vegas, I would see this one or two more times. It was so good. This takes me back 40 years ago when I saw them once in Arizona and once in Edmonton on this tour. The set choices were good. The band were great, the venue was great. If you’re in Vegas, go check out this show if you’re a Scorpions fan.
This was a great concert and as usual, The scorpions delivered big time. Our seats were fantastic and the venue itself does a great job. 2nd time seeing the scorpions at Planet Hollywood.
Ever since October 1980, when I first saw Scorpions live, they have never disappointed. From the opener, Coming Home to the last chord of Rock You Like A Hurricane the boys put on a fantastic show. The highlights for me were Coast To Coast, Crossfire and Blackout but it was a set list of classics. A gig I will never forget.
Scorpions are still true rockers even after all their years performing. A very energetic performance which we truly enjoyed. Music and vocals sounded great! Loved the bands camaraderie and talent. We felt very nostalgic during the performances and hope they have many more years of performing in them 🤟🤟🤟
Great show Great albumn Love at first sting 1st time seen them. Sadly Great time
Love these guys. Klaus’s voice is still amazing!!!
The group was very organized and started on time. The quality of the output was exceptional! The best thing is that the group came back at the end making audience happy and performed most iconic songs. My only "usetting"thing was that they did not sing my the absolute greatest hit Maybe I Maybe You which is as timely again as in the past! Otherwise I 'd attent the concert again if I had the opportunity!
Amazing Great Concert. One the Legends to Bring Rock and Roll alive.
Wasn't sure how an aging rock band would sound like. The answer is AMAZING. Klaus sounded great, Rudolf and Matthias were outstanding and the drummer's solo was one of the best I've ever seen. Staying in one place also enhances the sound - everything was clear and easy to hear without distortion. Highly Recommend attending if you get a chance. Venue was great too.
It was amazing!!!!! Would have loved to hear more songs. But overall one of the best!
The Scorpions are one of my top 3 bands ever. They have a catalogue that runs 20-25 songs that almost everyone knows even if they are not big fans. Given their age, it is amazing how well they play. The light show was spectacular, the songs were delivered almost perfectly. Klaus Meine can't carry the high notes with the length he could in his youth. But, he can still hit them all and sign with clarity. Given his age, that is amazing. See them while you can. The end of the classic rock bands is coming upon us.
The Scorpions are pros. Sound amazing and never disappoint.
