    A little crazy, but awesome

    by roxybabe2106 on 2/3/10Masquerade - Atlanta

The show was fantastic! The opening bands were pretty rockin. Dance Gavin Dance was a favorite. I always have a little problem with The Masquerade, I feel like the pit in hell should go upward so people in the back could still see.. but whatever. The crowd was a little unpleasant. Seemed as if it were alot of people's first show and maybe they weren't as into the music as much as they were about saying they went. Scary Kids performance was great! The keyboardist is always a showstopper and was super friendly. He did a little meet and greet after the show and was very eager to take pictures and sign autographs for everyone. He was the only bandmate to come out after the show, which was a little lame being as this is their farewell tour. I would do it all over again. Well worth getting beat up in the crowd for!

SKSK will be sadly missed. :(

by SummerBailout on 1/31/10Masquerade - Atlanta

o my jesus. this event was the best. starting with modsun which is the drummer for SKSK rappin it out..not what i prefer but he gave his heart out. then came dance gavin dance and i am a newly founded fan of theirs so didnt know all the songs that they played but truly an outstanding preformance. SKSK came on the crowd went wild. me showing up late somehow got to the 3rd or 2nd row.. they were totally original opening with the only medicine and some tracks were holding on drowning my darkest hour of course. after the show the entire band signed a shirt to me. and is now framed in my room. they were all chill and really down to earth hangin out after the show. i met the drummer. but really wanted to meet tyson stevens. which i did and i was like gigglying the whole time and he was just smiling and laughing haaaa it was the dorkest moment of history but he was cool about it and didnt say f* off.

scary kids scaring kids unforgettable last concert

by nothinghead on 1/29/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

krones was some horrible pop punk band that even covered some jay-z song and i only know that kuz my sis told me. mod sun was just the drummer of scary kids rapping to the beat of other alrdy existing songs, even miley cyrus' "party in the usa". dance gavin dance was pretty good live but they're horrible music. and finally, of course, scary kids scaring kids was unforgettably amazing!!! from beginning to end, i screamed/sang my heart out til the bitter end.

    RIP SKSK

by SableFlag on 1/28/10The Social - Orlando

I can't think of a better way for Scary Kids Scaring Kids to have ended their career playing here in Orlando. Their setlist was amazing, the crowd was great, and the opening bands set the mood for a great experience.

Good show, but I' was kinda let down.

    by Taylor335 on 1/25/10Meridian - Houston

The show was great for the most part. I love Scary kids, and it's a real shame that they're breaking up. The opening act, Dance Gavin Dance was kind of crappy, but it could of been the Meridian's soundman, who was truly my biggest complaint. SKSK is a band that separates their guitarist through the P.A with the lead guitarist, Steve on the left, and Chad, the rythym guitarist on the right. I couldn't here steve at all, and the drums WERE way to loud, as well as the vocals, which had a TERRIBLE echo/reverb on them. The band wasn't very tight at all, mostly because the original drummer, DJ Wilson, was not there, so they had a rapper sitting in. He was overall a good drummer but he missed beats every now and then, especially during "My Darkest Hour". But, the rest of the bands lack of tightness could of been the fact that they're having inner problems(hince the breakup). I've seen them two other times and both were much better gigs. In conclusion, killer band, sad to see them go, and the meridian needs a new sound man. R.I.P Scary Kids Scaring Kids, You guys will be greatly missed.

Two of my favorite bands in one night.

by DBlan on 1/25/10Meridian - Houston

Honestly, I didn't care for the opening band (didn't even take note of their name) and I'm not a hip-hop kinda guy so Modsun wasn't my thing. Dance Gavin Dance, however, is my favorite band. The sound was great, the pit was crazy, and the dance floor was full of kicks and flailing arms. When SKSK got on stage I stayed away from the pit so I could just enjoy the music. As great as the setlist was and the amount that SKSK played... it wasn't that awesome of a show. The sound just wasn't up to par. The vocals were inaudible and the music was way too loud. The microphone on the side of the stage was louder than the lead singer's and there were several moments with so much feedback that my ears rang. The energy was great and the show was fun, but the sound itself was lacking.
