Saxon blow the roof off of B.B. Kings. This is a great place to see any concert live. The staff was great.

    Saxon

by AngusApollo on 10/16/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

After 30+ years Saxon's music remains incredible. Seeing them live for the first time was a dream come true. I'd never think I would get the opportunity to see them since they so rarely tour America!

Saxon put on a "thunderous" show at B.B. Kings the other night. Right even before they reached the stage, the crowd was chanting "Saxon..Saxon!" Every song they played was brilliant! Everyone of us got we came here for..."HEAVY METAL SAXONIZED"!!!!

    Saxon was amazing!!!!

by patrycher on 10/14/11BLONDIES - Detroit

I recently saw Saxon at Blondies on Sunday, Oct. 9th, 2011. It was my first time seeing them and it was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. Saxon does not disappoint. They played for over an hour and 45 minutes! An incredibly long set, especially by today's standards. They mixed in songs off of their new album Call To Arms with so many classics I can't list them all. I highly recommend to everyone that Saxon is a must see. I know that I'll be there the next time they come around!!!!

    Saxon Toronto concert 10/11/2011

by Metalatech on 10/14/11The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Saxon put on an excellent performance ! They were tight and each song sounded like the CD was playing. They played about 2 and 1\2 hours and gave the crowd their moneys worth. A bit disappointed they didn't do "Dogs of War" or "Witchfinder General" but they can't be expected to do all their songs !! Also I had the pleasure of meeting lead singer Bif Byford before the show. Got his autograph and had a short conversation with him. !!! Real nice, down to earth person. He mentioned he's seen Niagara Falls (my hometown) a couple times in the past. He also said Saxon is going to do another US/Canadian Tour next year. I'll definitely go again when they come to Toronto in the future !! Great show !!

    Saxon

by Beamin on 10/13/11The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The Pheonix in Toronto is a good club, great venue for seeing live music. Saxon has been a favorite of mine since the mid 80's. They don't tour much in the US or Canada. I would highly recommend seeing them any chance you get. They are still one of the premier Metal bands in the world. Biff' can still carry all the songs and hit the notes, the band has envolved different members, but Nigel and Paul still rock with them all. Thuis was a great show. Only wish it would happen more often, it would sucks to wait another 8 years to get to seem them again.

OMG! Saxon is Amazing and still ROCK MY SOCKS!!! I, really don't care what critics say. The only thing that matters is the connection between the Listener and the Music. This is great music that is very easy to fall in Love with. They sing really well here and hey! ... there is no reason why a band can't be able to do this kind of music and still pull off Crusader. It shows a range of talent and I'd like to see Iron Maiden try to sing a song like this. It would be awful because they simply can't do it. The New complete Album of Saxon is quite versatile.

    Saxon is Back!!!!

by madmaxfan on 7/26/09rocklahoma - pryor

Thursday night at Rocklahoma I witnessed the return of the mighty metal warriors Saxon to the Midwest. Up until recently I had never been a huge Saxon fan but that show really opened my eyes to what a great band they really are. IMO they should have been headlining that night instead of Anthrax. All killer no filler as they say

Saxon displayed the power and the glory

by CatfishLover on 7/26/09Meridian - Houston

I knew Saxon was respected as metal pioneers, but was unfamiliar with their music. This show was an absolute onslaught, and Saxon presented a good choice of grooves and melodies. All of the musicians played brilliantly. This was a perfectly-executed show by a bunch of English metal heavyweights. I bought a number of Saxon CDs after seeing this show.

Saxon - British Heavy Metal Legends

    by 63Stargazer on 7/13/09Meridian - Houston

I was shocked to have the opportunity to see Saxon in a relatively small venue such as the Meridian... Most of the rest of the world sees this band in festivals or stadium sized venues with scores of thousands of fans, but this was an intimate setting with maybe a few thousand mighty heavy metal maniacs in attendance. Saxon delivered as much power, glory, and heavy metal thunder that you would expect to see at the largest European festival - they literally blew the place apart with one classic after another, plus a few new tracks from the new album, Into the Labyrinth. I think Saxon was shocked to behold the level of noise and extent of mayhem brought forth by this tiny Texas crowd... Truly a special event, one of the absolute high points in my roughly 30 years of accumulated concert-going experience. If you missed it, you missed out on a rare chance to see one of metals finest.

    Saxon rules

by biersmurf on 7/12/09B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

They.ve been gone for too long, but they proved that they still belong. BB-Kings is such a nice venue for bands like this. Yes the podium is small, but the ambience/atmosphere make up for it. Saxon still rules after all this time!

by dgh892000 on 7/12/09B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I loved this show. I was right at the barricade which made it an unforgettable experience. BB Kings is a relatively small venue which made the energy in the place reach unreal levels. I would recommend this for sure. \m/

    An Intimate Experience

    by Nightfall526 on 7/12/09Meridian - Houston

This concert was a very special concert; it almost never occurs that a band that's part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal comes to the United States. Saxon put on a show that was a truly unforgettable experience, but the concert was only one-third of the experience. Outside in the line to get in people were singing, interacting, and extremely friendly. The opening band was a local talent and really put on a great show too. The second-third involved a concert that cataloged songs from across the decades. The final third was the fact that they told us to wait 30 minutes because they were going to come out and sign autographs in the lobby, and they kept their word. They stayed for at least 2 hours after the concert and didn't leave until every fan was satisfied. A truly memorable experience and I would recommend a Saxon concert to every fan of not only metal but music in general.

The Saxon Show Was Mind Blowing!!!

by sweetleaf on 7/12/09B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

From the opening note of Battalions Of Steel To To the ending cruch of the encore Princess Of The Night....Saxon was in mid 80s form! Thanks to the powers that be for bringing them to N.Y.C for a rare mind blowing show!!!
