Rodeo and Sawyer Brown were very entertaining

by jimrm on 8/31/09Colorado State Fair - Pueblo

We took an exchange student from Finland, a horse enthusiast herself. She found the rodeo to be "bigger" and more exciting than she expected. We were all amazed at the skill and daring of the cowboys and cowgirls. The announcers added good fun to it all. Sawyer Brown was terrific! It was our exchange student's first real exposure to American country music, and she and we enjoyed it tremendously. The rain didn't dampen the experience as fans under the roof were accommodating to those of us getting wet.

They were amazing. The entire set was full of energy and fun. Played all of the old hits and a few new ones in spite of the T-storm in the background.

    Another off- the-charts performance

by blondebrowneyedgirl on 8/30/09Colorado State Fair - Pueblo

This was a first full-fledged rodeo experience for me and the sixth Sawyer Brown concert I have had the pleasure of attending. Being no expert on the finer details of rodeos, I will say the athletes were entertaining and professional, and the in-between events acts with the rodeo clown and sponsors left us roaring with laughter. As for Sawyer Brown's performance, I am certain they are better every time I see them. Their energy inspires an audience like no other band could...with dancers staying on the rodeo grounds through pouring rain, the fans singing every word to every hit, and delighted squeals at the ever-unpredictable famous dancing of Mark Miller and the band members. High quality, chart-topping entertainment is what Sawyer Brown consistently provides. Two songs off of an upcoming album celebrating the group's twenty-five years on Curb records were performed, and, as all their songs do, left the audience cheering in a standing ovation.

    Sawyer Brown was excellent

by johnnyhipster on 8/30/09Colorado State Fair - Pueblo

Sawyer Brown isn't an E-ticket group anymore but don't let that from going to see them. They are by their own admission a "touring band" and they have live performances down to an art form. Little talk--lots of music and Mark Miller still can sing a good as ever. It rained hard during the performance but it didn't get in the way of the show and they refused to stop the show unless the management told them to. Fortunately that didn't happen and if they come to a venue near by--go--you won't regret it.

Sawyer Brown never disappoint and this concert was no exception. Mark Miller is the most energetic front man in Country music and I absolutley LOVE watching him do his thing. I was happy to hear their greatest hits as well as a couple of new songs. I am looking forward to buying their new album, soon!!! Thanks guys for another great show - I hope to see another one soon!!

Who cares if we got soaked?

by Randyeasy2like on 8/30/09Colorado State Fair - Pueblo

This was a perfect atmosphere for a Saturday night at the Fair -- great rodeo action and the best performing band on any stage. Even after the rain came -- and came -- and came -- you get the picture. The rodeo organizers found the toughest broncs, hardest pounding bulls, and the best riders around. And those riders knew they were in for a rough night. They were. Great action, good crowd appeal, well run, fast paced -- what more can be said? The Best of the West from the action packed events to the big screen TV to add to the excitement. And then . . . And then . . . Out stepped Sawyer Brown. The crowd was taken through nearly 30 years of the best rock and country rock ever, by a band, and a guy, with more energy than a nuclear plant. Their love for the audience was obvious, and it was transformed into high energy and quality in their music. We felt appreciated, respected, and loved, and there was no stop to the music. Even during the 45 minutes of downpour that turned the arena into a swamp. Soaked us all to the one. No one cared. And the band played on. It ended all too soon for both performers and crowd, and after a brief encore it was done. Funny thing -- Sawyer Brown speaks of the State Fair as if it is his home. Maybe he does that everywhere but it seemed real. And we are anxious for a repeat performance.

Sawyer Brown still as good as ever!!!

by Moe3754 on 8/30/09Colorado State Fair - Pueblo

The first time I ever saw Sawyer Brown was 17 years ago in Colorado Springs, I have to say that Mark Miller and the Boy's were just as good and as much fun to wach as that night 17 years ago!!! It seemed like time and age has passed Mark Miller by, he was just as wild and crazy as he was then!!! If you ever get the chance to see them live do NOT pass it up they are well worth the money to see!!!!

This was the 2nd time I've seen Sawyer Brown and they were fantastic! They really seem to be having fun and loving what they do and the audience responds accordingly. If they come back, I'll go again.

    Sawyer Brown was Incredible!

    by Americanflag on 8/16/09Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Sawyer Brown was sensational!! Their show was full of energy with a touch of humor and class. I have been telling everyone what a fabulous show that they performed. Even my husband enjoyed it, and country music is not his forte. I have been to many many concerts, but this was by far one of the best concerts that I have attended. Seeing Sawyer Brown was my birthday present, and seeing them from the fourth row was phenomenal. Those who are looking for an eco-friendly presents to give, then I strongly suggest a concert. More importantly I suggest you see Sawyer Brown live, if given the opportunity.

    Star Search Royalty

    by DrHook on 8/14/09Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Once again Sawyer Brown gave an awsome show. After all this time, I keep coming back for more, and they continue to deliver. They exude the smooth confidence a long time band should and still seem to be enjoying their work. It is fun to watch a band from my generation, grow and continue on their long road of fame. Thank You Sawyer for not failing!

    Ridiculously Charismatic and Entertaining!

    by PJ01 on 8/14/09Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Is the only way to describe Mark Miller and "his boys"! The last time I saw SB was 15 years ago in the Tacoma Dome and I must say, they were just as entertaining last night as they were back then! Mark Miller's voice is simply mesmerizing and it was obvious they still love what they do and appreciate the continued support of their fans. Very humble, they seemed happy to just be there doing what they love. They introduced a couple of songs off of their new upcoming cd which sounded like "good ol' Sawyer Brown" (in a good way!). "Travelling Band" is a must hear as it sums up their career and friendships. Venue was great - we really enjoyed the "intimate" feel of it. The only downside was that the stage wasn't big enough for Mark to showcase all of his signature dance moves! He did awesome with what he had to work with, though! Fun, fun night!

    Loved it!

    by Bubble54 on 8/14/09Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Absolutely loved it. Very, very funny, fun, and the music and vocals were perfect. "The Walk" had us in tears, and the rest had us dancing in and out of our seats! We decided SB's new pieces will be hits, too! The 2-song rock and roll break in the middle was entertaining, but we were there for SB and weren't disappointed!!! One suggestion: "The Race is On" needs to be an encore song! It was performed far too early before the crowd was settled, and I predict it would have driven the crowd wild if saved until the end...of course, it's my favorite and the one I know all the words to! Great job, guys!
