    Awful, Amateurish, Low Energy, Boring

by Joezone on 4/1/17Merrill Auditorium - Portland

We attempted to enjoy Saturday Night Fever, The Musical last night at Porland's Merrill Auditorium, and left at the intermission because it was so awful. The cast was boring. The lead character was badly cast and couldn't sing. There was little dancing. The sets were boring. In short, this awful performance could have been outdone by any well-meaning high school theater company. Save your money and rent the movie instead.

Worst show I have seen in person

by Jamienjason on 3/31/17The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

This was a poor production. The lead character was the main problem. His dancing and singing skills were mediocre and many of the supporting cast members were far better. The big problem surrounded the actual venue. People talking non stop throughout the entire show and ushers who would not do anything about it. We left at intermission. A complete waste of $150.

    Fantastic Live Theater

by jchevy on 3/26/17The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

Outstanding live show. Loved the music, the similarity to the famous movie. The actors were excellent. I will likely see it again sometime. A great evening of live theater.

Saturday Night Fever - Not Good

by DeBaryBroadwayGirl on 3/26/17The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

We were terribly disappointed in the performance. The lead playing Tony was trying too hard and you couldn't understand him and his voice was not strong enough for the part, Several people left at the intermission time because the vocals were so poor. This is the very first time I have given a bad review for a musical.

Lots of energy, great story. Dancing was outstanding, several humorous moments as well.

Saturday Night Fever - Needs a Asprin

by BigMikeB on 3/24/17The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

Adolescent Performance - reminiscent of a High School Musical Choreography and Musical Arrangements too far removed from Original Score. Tony - too much negative Italian Stereotyping .... Tony - worked hard on stage, but something was just not right.... ..... Sorry to say, had to walk out during intermission

    Good show, but slow paced

by DDs5 on 2/27/17Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

The lead man, his natural or put on accent was a bit much, there were lines we couldn't understand. Some of the dancing seemed slow, but all in all it was a good show. The music was the BEST.

    Good show

by puppymagic on 2/25/17Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

Good show but tempo of music was slower and effected outcomes. First half was not performed well--missing cues and amateur like. Second half the performance woke up ! Lead female singing was outstanding!! Male lead was great dancer but singing fell short

    Fun but not great!

by TypsyLarue on 2/22/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

With in minutes of the first act my opinion was that this is a new or somewhat inexperienced group. Felt to me like they were screaming when being vocal and it lacked emotional depth. Mostly I liked the music.

Not as good as I had hoped

by middlesis on 2/22/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

The lead male was difficult to understand-he either talked to fast or his words just weren't clear. I compare it to the movie and it just didn't have the piazza. We enjoyed the show it just wasn't awesome like many shows have been in the past. We did buy the package for 3 additional shows and hope they will be better.

    Terrible

by MrHH on 2/21/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Probably the worst play we have ever seen. If your leading guy is going to sing he needs to be able to sing.

    A little disappointing

by Moe823 on 2/21/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Was happy to see the improvements to the venue - but was not all that excited about the actual show - some good voices - as an adaptation of the movie it was okay -

    Worse Ever!

by Juice38 on 2/21/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This production of Saturday Night Fever is just not worth the cost of admission. The male lead is about 35 playing the part of a 19 year old, his swinging is awful, but I do have to say he's a fine dancer, but that's all I can say. The females in the show good but not great. Some of the singing was more "shouting" than "singing" - this may have been due to the mics and/or the sound level, but in either case, it left a lot to be desired. All in all, it was a "wasted evening"......

This was by far the worst play we have ever seen. I have seen great performances at this venue, Duke Energy Center.... this one was just terrible short of horrible. We just couldn't sit there any longer, felt embarrassed for the cast. I just have no words to how terrible this truly was.

    Tony was TERRIBLE

by MusicalFan2017 on 2/20/17Duke Energy Performing Arts Center - Raleigh

The lead (Tony) was TERRIBLE. First of all, he looked like he was 40 playing a part of a teenager, then he couldn't sing, AND he couldn't dance.. it was a train-wreck! This was my first time attending a musical at the Duke Energy Center and honestly, I might never go back.

    Worst performance in years

by Disappointed27601 on 2/18/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Until this season we had been season subscribers to NC Theatre for about 12-15 years. This performance was the worst we had ever seen in this series. The lead male simply could not sing and his dancing was athletic but mechanical. Overall the production was lifeless.

    Not professional

by DHKK on 2/18/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This had to be the worst performance I have even seen. It was terrible. You could of done so much better for the lead role of Tony. His voice was terrible. There was no excitement in the group. If I didn't have my mother with me I would of left at intermission it was that bad.

    Average Musical

by NYCGal56 on 2/18/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

The dialogue was hard to understand. The vocals were not as strong as I expected.
