The oldest, the best, coolest racetrack experience
A must visit for any fans of horse racing. Great facilities and good viewing with plenty of seats. Jim Dandy bar is a great place for a beer and chat with other horseplayers
Buying GA tickets was easy and the system worked great. I recommend the online purchase system.
Entered at admission gate without incident. Signage should be posted earlier at the gate to identify which line has the scanner.
Really impressed with the experience. Great Staff, friendly people, fair prices. High quality racing experience.
I have not visited for a few years and WOW. Enjoyed it so much all the interactive Showcases bring us back in time. Loved it can’t wait to visit again.
The experience of a lifetime: Great town; outstanding venue. Great athletes and a definite Jazz Age vibe. Absolutely hoping to return.
Saratoga Race Course was a fantastic venue. We arrived an hour before the first race and easily found parking in the East Preferred Lot, across the street from the race course. Lines for concessions, beer, and betting windows were all very short. Tip for next time, coolers and drinks were allowed, along with a great picnic area with betting windows and outdoor TVs.
Saratoga Race Track is an institution and they've got a fun, interesting thing going on there. The venue is huge and expansive - like it's own little tent city/carnival/summer festival. The people who work at the track are nice and extremely helpful when you need them to be. However, as a first timer, the seat availability and choices are mind blowingly difficult UNLESS YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN THERE. Which, we hadn't before. So, when wanting to choose seats online it's near impossible to see what your seats are really like and what you're paying for. We had to get our seats changed three times before we actually got the seats we wanted. So more clarification of the areas/race viewing options would absolutely have been helpful - i.e. Clubhouse Seats are covered and have a live view of the track at the Finish Line Area, while Four Star Dave Seats are in a bar away from the track with only a television viewing as an option. Picnic Tables are outside the track in the tent-city area with only screen viewing, unless you walk trackside. etc..etc. Otherwise, it's something everyone should try at least once. Winner or not.
Every racing fan needs to experience Saratoga at least once.
Excellent visits, and wonderful weather, great amenities at the racecourse, all was awesome
I always love going to opening day at Saratoga Racetrack and park my chairs in the same area every year near the fence to watch the horses and jockeys enter the back paddock before a race. This time a group of men were sitting close by smoking nonstop cigars throughout the day. The smoke was blowing into our ezup and faces depending on their movement around their two tables. They weren’t the approachable type so we tried to make the best of the situation and try to enjoy our day. Most bothersome was when we were eating our Hattie’s chicken for lunch. Cigarette smokers we were also prevalent. The Racetrack should be smokefree for everyone and a smoking area established for future racing. Everyone should be able to enjoy the back paddock and open air to see the horses throughout the day. Hoping next year will be better!
I love saratoga race track. Wonderful vendors and polite staff all around.
I don't like having to download an app to my phone to purchase a ticket to a venue. I uninstalled the app right afterwards.
Another fun day at the track. Saratoga never lets you down.
I was able to get two different last minute reservations with ease in using ticket master in conjunction with the events centers online system. Thank you!
We purchased grandstand tickets for $25 each. These tickets had a section and seat number. When we got to the racetrack we were told that these were “General Admission” tickets that basically got us through the gate. Are only choice was to sit on benches in the hot sun all day. Definitely not what we expected.😩
Everything was great at the track. We were billed twice for parking at 20.00 each. Other than that everything was great.
thought I was buying a ticket in the stands it was admission only costing over 90 dollars admission at the races was only 20 dollars
Prepaid for Trackside on Travers Day but when I arrived, I was told that the trackside parking lot was full and had to use the general parking lot a ways down the road. $20 not well spent!
