About

Sarah McLachlan's sultry, often-heartbreaking voice has become one of the most iconic in the business, earning her two Grammys and a slew of other awards. McLachlan's emotionally charged live vocal performances on tour are a treat for any ticket buyer. Her voice has a lilting, angelic quality that can melt the toughest ear. Whether backed by a full band, sitting alone at the piano or strumming away at the guitar, her pitch is spot on, while her passion-filled voice seems to soar above and beyond the physical boundaries of the concert itself. In 2013, Sarah McLachlan returned to the studio for a brand new album. It was welcome news after a short break away from studio releases. However, McLachlan was far from out of the shadows during that time. McLachlan has a firm place in the industry.

In 1997, she founded Lilith Fair, which presented 70 female artists live on three stages. However, that stunning voice of hers has made the greatest lasting impression on critics and fans alike. Her lofty status as a noteworthy Canadian prompted Olympic officials to book her for the opening of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, where she performed the uplifting "Ordinary Miracle" live in front of ticket holders and the rest of the world. McLachlan, a Vancouver native, seemed destined to be a star since she formed her first band in high school. Shortly after that venture, McLachlan signed to a Canadian independent label. Things skyrocketed from there, and it wasn't long before McLachlan was topping Canadian charts with Surfacing in 1997. The album hit the No. 2 spot in the U.S., and McLachlan enjoyed tremendous success with the haunting "Adia," "Angel" and the Grammy Award-winning "Building a Mystery."

    Excellent concert and venue

by Meg on 9/28/22Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

Terrace theater was the most appropriate venue for this intimate concert. It’s just that right size for a personal experience with the artists. What can I say about Sarah McLaclan? She was incredible. I loved her performance. Her voice is still haunting. She covered all my favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole evening.

    Took me back

by Val on 9/27/22Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

I missed seeing Sarah at the Lilith Faire in High School, and as an adult, her voice was the same that teenage me used to play over and over. She had some of my favorite songs, and some new. She shared with the audience some personal details around her music and it was a great evening!

    Great performance at horrible venue

by TravelerB on 9/27/22Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

Sarah is always talented and charming! The Terrace Theater was not! No video projectors on sides and with approximately 90 seats in a row across the ONE orchestra section with no aisles, one had to literally climb over 40++ people in your row to get out if you were sitting in the center like we were. Huge waiting lines curled around for women’s bathroom. Will never go to that venue again.

    Brilliant As Always

by M.L. on 9/27/22Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

I'm such a huge fan, I'm always just happy to be in the same room as Sarah. What I loved about this show, and all her shows, is her openness and her humanness. She weaves personal experiences, influences for her music and inspirational adages into her concerts. She's a raconteur and a siren. Her voice is so clean and ethereal, which is accentuated by the minimal instrumentation. I've seen her probably 15 plus times in the last 30 years and it always feels special. I can't wait to see her again.

    Not Just a Music Star . . . A Music Superstar

by Scott on 9/25/22Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Such a talented musician on the piano and guitar. She also has great vocals and writes beautiful and meaningful songs. If that isn't enough, she also has a great rapport with the fans being very open and candid. Her music as she confesses is usually depressing, so you won't be jumping up and dancing in the isle. I've attended many, many concerts and Sarah's talents are in the same realm as Elton John and Paul McCartney. I saw her at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. in 2011 and rated this as one of the best concerts I had ever attended. Her Humphrey's performance was not as entertaining since she did not have a supporting band, however, I don't believe anyone in attendance left disappointed.
