About

Celebrated country vocalist Sara Evans returned to the airwaves in 2013 with "Slow Me Down," the bombastic lead single from her highly anticipated seventh studio album. As great as her voice is on record, it's her live concerts that let her showcase what a pure and versatile storyteller she truly is. Ticket buyers are sure to be floored by her vocals, with a dynamic range that can go from angelic softness to full-voiced belts effortlessly, all done with an emotional heft that reaches into your soul and holds on until the very last note. Every tour she's unleashed has been a vocal tour de force that has to be heard to be believed. Her upcoming album, due in the first quarter of 2014, is sure to be another classic Sara Evans' journey through life and love and finds her reuniting with superstar Vince Gill, who sang with Sara on her first country number one hit, "No Place That Far."

A country sensation since her debut album in 1997, Sara Evans has kept listeners enthralled with her continuous release of quality material and award-winning performances. Her classic "Born to Fly" became her second number one single, and was responsible for Sara's first major award win at the 2001 Country Music Association Awards, where she was the most nominated artist of the evening. Her biggest song to date came thirteen years into her illustrious career with "A Little Bit Stronger," becoming Sara's first platinum-certified single. Time and time again, Sara Evans proves that a timeless vocalist with personal stories to tell will always find an audience to connect with.

  • Sara was terrific!

by perl on 8/9/09Paramount Arts Center - AshlandRating: 5 out of 5

Overall, the concert was great. It was a little shorter than I expected. Of course when you are watching a performer as good as Sara, you never want it to end. I felt bad for Sara because she was trying to interact with the audience,by talking and telling a little about the songs and kind of joking with the crowd, but the crowd was a dud! At one point, as she finished a story with no response from the crowd, she told her band to start the next song, I'm dying up here! It was not anything Sara did or did not do, she tried very hard to get the crowd to interact with her, but they just sat there. I wouldn't blame her if she never went back to Ashland. I wish she would come to my town. I think the people here would be much more responsive.

Sara, was fresh, funny, and did a great concert. Would go again, if she was here next month. The venue is great too, easy in and out access, and very comfortable.

  • Sara Evans was AMAZING!!!

by erb001 on 8/9/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was a husband/wife group named the O'Sheas. They were featured on CMT's Can You Duet TV Show. Jay O'Shea has an amazing voice and both were very friendly during the CD signing/photo session. Sara came on an performed for 1 1/2 hours and did most of her songs (two or three were missing). Her siblings (brother and two sisters) performed with her at various points (they are in the band) and her four year old daughter made an appearance on the stage. The venue is great place for a venue, the music was great. Sara looked amazing and sounded even better. Her husband Jay was back stage and was very nice and willing to pose for pictures with the BAMA fans. This was definitely a night to remember.

  • Sara's beautiful voice

by Maxmom on 8/9/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time at the Mable House Amphitheater. It was impressive. I like it better than Chastain, and I've loved Chastain for a long time! Sara Evans put on a great show! She is a beautiful lady and has a strong voice. I love that she shares the spotlight with her family, writing songs with her brother and singing harmony with her sisters. I love many types of music, but Country "speaks" to me of family, love, real life, and country musicians seem the most "down to earth" artists. The lighting, stage props, music, were all very enjoyable. Everyone around me was singing along with her big hits and really seemed to be listening to her new songs. I can't wait for the new album due out in January. It was a great evening!

  • One of the best concerts I have ever seen!

Great venue and an even better performance. Sara has an unbelievable voice, and now includes 3 more members of her family into the show. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Many new songs off her upcoming album and several old favorites, including a couple of rock songs where she showed her wide range of talents.

  • Great concert as always!!

Me and a friend decided to go to the Sara Evans concert which was conveniently located less than five miles where I am located (the short drive was the only good thing). Even though I dislike country music I believe the show was a huge disappointment. Yes, I do believe the Paramount in Ashland, Kentucky is a beautiful place and has a lot of fond memories of local performers but, the sound quality was awful and the "on stage conversations" were awkward I didn't know if I should of laughed or straight faced it. What I am trying to say I would not recommend going to see her in concert, I paid $100 and got a one and half hour show.

We went to the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland KY Sat. Night to see Sara Evans and her show was great. I really liked the fact that her band consists of some of her siblings it shows a real since of family closness. i would recommend this show to anyone.

Sara Evans has an absolutely amazing voice, however there were two problems with her show. First of all, the sound mix and setup was AWFUL. The sound engineer should be fired because that should never happen in a smaller more intimate venue like The Paramount Theater. The instuments were "muddy" and there was no definition or clarity between them. Finally, Sara herself only performed for an hour and a half. She introduced some wonderful new material from her upcoming CD, but should have also included a few more of the older songs. I would feel more like I got my money's worth if she had she been on stage for at least 2 hours.

  • Awesome

I was really surprised with how personable Sara was. I always have enjoyed her music, but it was nice feeling like you were getting to know about her, and her family. The whole night was unforgettable.

  • Great night

Great concert. Wish she would've sang longer, as she had many hit songs that she didn't even sing. Also, her new album will be very good- she sang 2 or 3 new songs from it.

  • Sara @ Paramount was Paramount

by Suzuki on 8/8/09Paramount Arts Center - AshlandRating: 5 out of 5

The Sara Evans concert was very good. I have seen her perform several times and as always it was very entertaining. Not only is she a very talented singer, she is quite comical. Her daughter came on the stage and that was precious. I absolutely love the fact that 3 of her siblings travel and perform with her. Will the future see the others joining up with the band too? You can tell that Sara Evans is not one of those performers that gets on stage and just sings. She is very in to her music and seems to really be having a good time. She likes to talk to the audience and that just cracks me up. Everything about the show was great... the music, the performance, the lights, everything. The Paramount is such an awesome venue and when that is coupled with an awesome performer, you get an awesome concert.

Sara Evans is a very good entertainer. She is very down to earth and friendly. Her singing was remarkable. She sounds just like she does on her CD's.

  • Sara Evans is beautiful but her performance wasn't

by kanedee on 7/16/09The Venue - HammondRating: 2 out of 5

The Venue is a beautiful place to see a concert. Sara is amazingly beautiful but.... He set was only an hour and five minutes. When she was on stage it did have its moments but her heart didn't seem to be into it. When it was so quickly over the whole crowd looked around in confusion thinking there was no way it could be over. My first concert that I was honestly disappointed...

  • Sara Evans in Hammond

by trueblue on 7/16/09The Venue - HammondRating: 5 out of 5

I have loved sara's voice for many years but had never seen her in concert. Wow, it was very impressive. The sound was wonderful and her energy was remarkable. And for the band......excellent job.....very tight performance. The sisters voice blending sans band was the best though. I really mean outstanding!!!! Thank you Sara, family, and band for a very enjoyable evening. Thanks to Sara,

  • Sara Evans Top Shelf

by FightingSioux on 7/16/09Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 4 out of 5

We saw Sara at an outdoor venue in a drizzling rain at the end of May. Sara and her band, including several siblings, took the slight cheer out of the air by belting out song after song in top shelf form. Sara and the band can really rock and she satisfied most all of her fans with a solid collection of many of her most memorable songs. The show was truly Grand at the Grand Casino. The only drawback was that the night was still young when the stage lights went up. Coming back for a second, or even a third, encore would have been cool.
