SAOSIN IN CONCERT:

Founding frontman and beloved post-hardcore icon Anthony Green returned to Saosin in 2014 after a decade away from the band, thrilling fans with adrenaline-filled performances of favorites like "Seven Years" and "Lost Symphonies". Green's chemistry with the group was undeniable, and his surprise return to the band was cause for celebration among new and diehard fans alike. Whether they're performing cuts from their self-titled 2006 debut or brand-spanking new  tracks like "Riff", Saosin and Green always deliver an unforgettable show, flooring ticket buyers with thrash-worthy sets full of amped-up post-hardcore energy.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Saosin formed in Newport Beach, CA in 2003 and released their debut EP Translating the Name the same year. Original lead singer Anthony Green left the band the following year when they decided to sign with a major label (Capitol Records), and vocalist Cove Reber stepped in to take his place. The band released a self-titled EP with Reber in 2005, and in 2006 they released their self-titled debut album to a No. 7 spot on the Top Rock Albums chart. The band spent the next several years touring extensively, including two stints on the Taste of Chaos Tour as well as tours with Senses Fail, Alexisonfire, and Poison the Well. Following the 2009 release of their sophomore album In Search of Solid Ground, the band parted ways with Reber, kicking off a search for a new frontman that kept fans guessing over the course of several years. The waiting paid off when Anthony Green rejoined the band in 2014, thrilling both longtime and recent fans with the announcement of tour dates in celebration of the reunion. Saosin with Anthony Green started penning new material together imeediately, generating massive excitement among fans for the group's upcoming shows.

    Clear blurr was #1

by AlexasAunt on 11/28/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

We went to see Saosin at Starland ballroom. The venue was great. Very intimate feel to the concert. The opening act CLEAR BLURR was fantastic. No tricks, just great sounding music. Their sound was clear and not too loud. The other bands were ok. POS didn't seem very comfortable up on stage... like he hated being there. Alaska eye was a little weird, the lead singer seemed wasted! But the music was good. Intersystem party was terrible. The lights were all over the place...very distracting. The sound was so loud you couldn't hear the music. They had too many bells and whistles, like they had to cover up for no talent. Saosin was really good, their lights were a little calmer, but still went well with the music. The lead singer acted a little full of himself, but all and all everyone really looked like they enjoyed the music. So no harm done.

The smaller bands stole the show.

by Anonymous on 11/28/09Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

I took my girlfriend to see Saosin since she likes these guys. I'm a big POS fan so it worked out nice. The crowd was anti-POS to start since he's rap and I don't think many of them expected it. He sounded good and got half the crowd jumping and waving their hands by the end. I'd have loved more stuff from Ipecac Neat but his newer tunes are potent as well. I knew nothing of Innerpartysystem until they came out. They were amazing. Reminded me of Depeche Mode but a little heavier on the synths and bass, which is a plus. I picked up their cd after their set. They sounded amazing. Their basslines were vibrating the rafters and light fixtures above us. Their lights were done very well too. Saosin wasn't bad, but they drowned out the vocals and distorted their tunes too much. After hearing POS and Innerpartysystem sound crystal clear and aggressive, Saosin jusst sounded loud and drowned out. Performance and showmanship wise as well, POS and Innerpartysystem were leagues beyond Saosin. They just felt more mechanical and uncomfortable, despite being the headliners. I was unimpressed. I'd not see Saosin again, I'd see POS or Innerpartysystem if you get a chance.

Saosin was super amazing!! They really kept the crowd going and interacted a lot with them. Lots of crowd surfing and circle pits during their whole set. Sooo much fun! Innerpartysystem.P.O.S., and EyeAlaska also put on an awesome show. Definately one of my fav concerts of the year!

    Outstanding!!

    by Ween1 on 11/27/09Trocadero - Philadelphia

I went to the show a Saosin fan, and left a HUGE IPS and EYE ALASKA fan!! They both are amazing performers! The troc was so cool, so much character! I would definately follw this tour around the country if i could. The light show for IPS was something I will never forget and Eye Alaska's lyrics were truely heart felt. The troc's sound system was perfect, I can't say enough about it!! Ck this tour out if you can, for the price it's def a no-brainer!

    Saosin and Innerpartysystem was insane!

by gkottmann on 11/22/09Orbit Room - Grand Rapids

Friday night at the Orbit Room was so much fun. You get up close to the bands and all of them were very good. Saosin needed to play longer but it was still awesome. Cove was very interactive with the audience and I was surprised that he pointed at me when we were up front singing. Saosin is definitely a good live band. Innerpartysystem also played a really good show and I am glad I went.

The opening bands were not good. Saosin rocked it though...surprised there weren't many people there but regardless, they played a good show.

    Short Sets

by SusieQ84 on 11/16/09Beaumont Club - Kansas City

Four songs from InnerPartySystem? They should have played much longer and eliminated one of the earlier bands. Saosin was really so-so.

    Saosin never fails my expectations!

by Makalani on 11/9/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

If ever I should forget how amazing Saosin is (which will never happen), all I have to do is go to one of their shows to get blown away all over again. Not only are HOB venues great because of the atmosphere, but they are somewhat intimate shows. The high energy of the crowd goes to show how well they perform live. Nice to hear the variety of sounds from the opening bands as well. A mixture of sounds.

    Good Show

by jooboyo on 11/7/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

I'm not a big fan of saosin, but the opening bands were awesome. POS and Eye Alaska were very good and I hdn't heard of either of them before this. But Innerpartysystem is amazing! If you're into indie techno dance music, these guys are legit! The show was a lot of fun, and recommended even if you don't like saosin too much.

    Opening act the best!

by lamusicman on 11/7/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

Saosin was good but the opening act, The Sequence, stole the show. These guys really know how to write a song. Great melodies and the ability to surprise you with inventive writing and arranging. Can't believe these guys aren't signed. Saosin should add this group to the tour.

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing

by erickcity1 on 11/7/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

These guy's are great. They tear up the stage when they sing. They get the croud into the show like not many bands know how to do and they are greatful because they thank you for the support. Eye Alaksa was amazing also, they are still an up and coming band but you can tell that they will be huge. I think i will get tickets for the next time they come to town. Saosin Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Saosin rocked

by fsunole on 11/7/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

Great show. Other than the first night technical problems suffered by Saosin's guitarist, the show was outstanding. Saosin definitely was the highlight, but P.O.S. stood out as an artist and won an LA crowd over. Innerpartysystem put on a great show, and EyeAlaska was a crowd pleaser. Much props to the opening act, Sequence, and OC local band, who started the show off right. Anaheim, here we come!!!!!!
