SAOSIN IN CONCERT:

Founding frontman and beloved post-hardcore icon Anthony Green returned to Saosin in 2014 after a decade away from the band, thrilling fans with adrenaline-filled performances of favorites like "Seven Years" and "Lost Symphonies". Green's chemistry with the group was undeniable, and his surprise return to the band was cause for celebration among new and diehard fans alike. Whether they're performing cuts from their self-titled 2006 debut or brand-spanking new  tracks like "Riff", Saosin and Green always deliver an unforgettable show, flooring ticket buyers with thrash-worthy sets full of amped-up post-hardcore energy.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Saosin formed in Newport Beach, CA in 2003 and released their debut EP Translating the Name the same year. Original lead singer Anthony Green left the band the following year when they decided to sign with a major label (Capitol Records), and vocalist Cove Reber stepped in to take his place. The band released a self-titled EP with Reber in 2005, and in 2006 they released their self-titled debut album to a No. 7 spot on the Top Rock Albums chart. The band spent the next several years touring extensively, including two stints on the Taste of Chaos Tour as well as tours with Senses Fail, Alexisonfire, and Poison the Well. Following the 2009 release of their sophomore album In Search of Solid Ground, the band parted ways with Reber, kicking off a search for a new frontman that kept fans guessing over the course of several years. The waiting paid off when Anthony Green rejoined the band in 2014, thrilling both longtime and recent fans with the announcement of tour dates in celebration of the reunion. Saosin with Anthony Green started penning new material together imeediately, generating massive excitement among fans for the group's upcoming shows.

    Very small setlist, forgettable openers

by PostPostHardcore on 1/27/15South Side Ballroom - Dallas

The concert was...okay. It was pretty great to hear AG back with Saosin revisiting the Translating the Name EP. However, the whole show was either from this EP or a couple of new songs. Personally I didn't overly mind but several people with me were at least hoping Anthony tackled ONE song from Saosins self titled or other music post TTN-EP. Instead we got to hear Seven Years twice, which was both good and bad. The venue was meh, just a lot of concrete and overpriced drinks. The openers failed to connect with the crowd and kind of fizzled.

    Very fun night!

by FrankieAntunez on 6/9/14The Fox Theater - Pomona - Pomona

It was great seeing one of my all time favorite bands live since it was my first time. The theatre itself is really nice and the sound quality is awesome. It was very cool sharing the experience with other people who love the band as well. Growing up, Saosin was my comfort during certain situations and problems. Now as an adult, I've gotten the chance to see them and I will never forget that.

Saosin with Anthony Green WAS AMAZING

by Arc21 on 6/9/14The Fox Theater - Pomona - Pomona

This show could have done a lot better with two different opening acts. In Transmission was alright, but their music made me drowsy and Night Riots... Their name was misleading I mean the music they played was completely nothing as to what I was expecting. All I really wanted to see was Saosin and be on my way. Only reason worthwhile was Saosin with Anthony Green I mean that was a lifetime opportunity to be able to see them play together again after so many years.

The show in Anaheim was amazing because Saosin played everything from their brand new album to some fantastic old songs and really got the crowd going. I would go back tonight if I could.

A Great Venue. Lots of fun, and really loud. Had a great time. Got to meet a lot of cool people. Met some Eye Alaska band members and close friends. The show was awesome. A lot of people showed up. Not enough chairs to go around.

The best concert I have been to!

by Saosinfan on 12/14/09Meridian - Houston

All the bands that played were really good. But when Saosin's set started the room got crazy. Everyone was so excited and it was loud, mosh pit started, my friends and I started crowd surfing. It was so much fun. The band sounds just like they do on their albums, totally real, no faking. They played the best songs that got everyone singing and jumping up and down.

    Saosin rocked!

by cartmanbeck on 12/14/09Meridian - Houston

The only thing I didn't like about seeing Saosin was that I had to sit through the other bands first. I don't know what PacSun is thinking putting Innerpartysystem and P.O.S with Saosin, but I wasn't there to hear rap or trance, I was there to hear rock. Get some more related openers! Saosin, though, was incredible, and I would go see them again and even sit through the same openers if necessary.

    Best show yet!

by jmoore104 on 12/14/09House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I have seen Saosin at HOB Orlando twice before, but this show was the best! I thought they played the best and had the best attitude while performing. After the show, I was able to meet the entire band which included Alex Rodriguez, the drummer, who has been my idol for many years now. Great show guys!

    SAOSIN WAS AMAZING AS ALWAYS

by stevee77777 on 12/11/09House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Great show but I don't think P.O.S. should have been on the line up. Rap music at an alt rock concert isn't a good idea. Imagine throwing Saosin up with Snoop Dog and T-Pain....that wouldn't go well either.

    PacSun Tour was AWESOME!

by Soundmn on 12/11/09House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

The opening acts were picked well for the most part. Started off with MAYDAY! Cried The Captain. They were pretty good. The closing song/line dance thing was a bit cheesy tho. Next up was EyeAlaska. Not bad. Cool lights, good music. 3rd up was Innerpartysystem. I was totally blown away... The amazing lights, The sound, The performance... all incredible. The way everything was soooo in sync.... the light HAD to have been preprogrammed and run by computer lol. I don't think any human could be that accurate with the ques. Wow... They definately stole the show. Then after being TOTALLY wow'd, on comes POS. No offense to POS or his fans, but.... I wasn't into this one at all. The 1st words out of his mouth were "If you don't like rap music and are going to sit with your arms folded and stare at me..... GET THE F### OUTSIDE UNTIL IM DONE!"... umm.... wow.... Not a great 1st impression. He wasn't bad as far as rap artists go, but Im definately not a rap fan. Then came Saosin, They put on a great concert. I was really amazed that as loud as they were, you could still hear every word the lead singer said/sang. They have a great sound guy. Their lighting was alot more expensive, but, not as impressive as the innerpartysystem. Their lighting guy was fun to watch tho lol. He definately felt every note of the music. He was dancing more than anyone else in the room. The weirdest part of the night HAD to be the intermission music. It took a while for each band to tear down and the next one to come up, so they played some music while we waited... Music like... Wilson Philllips??!? Celine Dion?!?! But the WORST had to be when the entire audience got Rickrolled!, Thats right.... they broke out the Rick Astly. Who chose this stuff?!?! Was it intentionally bad 80's music?? ROFL.
