Santana in Concert

Few musicians in the history of American popular music inspire the same reverence as Carlos Santana. For more than four decades, he has been one of the music world's most distinctive and exciting guitarists, maintaining his reputation as an artist who continues to revolutionize the form.

Long before listeners knew terms like "fusion" and "world music," Santana was already a master who blended genres and traditions into a sound that was all his own. It's no wonder the young guitarist generated so much excitement as a foremost member of the Bay Area's fertile music community of the late 1960s.

With the release of his debut album Santana and an incendiary set at Woodstock in 1969, Santana established himself as one of the key artists of the era, gaining worldwide fame for his band's combination of Latin, jazz, blues, rock, and R&B. The new star proved his staying power when Santana remained on the Billboard charts and successors Abraxas and Santana III both reached No. 1.

In 1998, Santana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to racking up career sales of more than 100 million records, he earned another spot in history books when Supernatural — the multiplatinum 1999 album that included such hits as "Smooth" and "Maria Maria" — won nine Grammy Awards, tying the record for most wins by a single project.

In 2014, he published his best-selling memoir, The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light. Among his recent musical endeavors has been Santana IV, a thrilling album that saw him reunite with musicians from his band's early-‘70s lineup; and Power of Peace, a deeply soulful collaboration with The Isley Brothers.

Santana returned with more new music in 2019. In Search of Mona Lisa is an EP featuring three instrumentals inspired by the awe he felt the first time he saw Leonardo da Vinci's painting during a visit to the Louvre. Santana continues to inspire the same reaction at shows by the current incarnation of the band that bears his name. His team of first-tier players includes drummer Cindy Blackman Santana (Lenny Kravitz, Pharoah Sanders), bassist Benny Rietveld (Miles Davis, Sheila E.), keyboardist David K. Mathews (Tower of Power, Etta James), and percussionist Karl Perazzo (Mariah Carey, Tito Puente).

Santana on Tour

Grammy Award-winning, legendary artists Carlos Santana and Earth, Wind & Fire embark on a North American tour. A continuation of 2019's Supernatural Now tour for Santana, the Miraculous Supernatural 2020 Tour marks the first time these two powerhouses share the stage in the U.S. The Live Nation-produced outing kicks off June 19th in San Diego and makes stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and more before wrapping August 29th in Tampa.

Santana, and his band (which also features Santana's wife, Cindy Blackman Santana) highlight songs from both his Supernatural and Woodstock eras, as well as newer tracks from his 2019 full-length album Africa Speaks and some incredible surprises. Earth, Wind & Fire is one of music's most celebrated musical forces in history with an iconic music catalog that has been the soundtrack of millions of lives around the world.

In 2019, Santana celebrated the 20th anniversary of his revolutionary, multiple Grammy Award-wining album Supernatural, along with the 50th anniversary of his Woodstock performance. Santana's 1999 album Supernatural featured the back-to-back No. 1 singles "Smooth" and "Maria Maria" and sold over 30 million copies worldwide, topping the charts in over a dozen countries and sweeping the 2000 Grammy Awards.

  • Mr. Carlos Santana

by Angus59 on 11/20/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

This concert was truly a bucket-list experience for my partner and me—we had never seen Santana live and were determined to make it happen. We’re very grateful we had the chance, and it was an honor to see him perform. The band opened with three strong songs, and Santana sounded great. After that, though, it became clear that Mr. Carlos Santana was struggling. He needed some assistance from his crew, and the performance grew noticeably difficult for him. The show ended up being fairly short, and many of us in the audience could sense it was a real strain on him. That said, we were still incredibly glad to be there. The band he’s assembled is outstanding, and Santana himself is a legend with absolutely nothing left to prove. But if you’re a fan expecting a clean, consistent performance right now, that may not be what you experience. My hope is that the people around Mr. Santana are taking good care of him and looking out for his health and well-being. As fans, we love you, Carlos. Thank you for everything!

  • Good but not great

by TR on 11/20/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Loved seeing them live but the instrumental music overshadowed the singing. Very difficult to make out the words because the band was overpowering the singers. Surprised that the crew didn’t pick up on that?

  • All his great music, in an intimate atmosphere

by Barb on 11/19/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Carlos Santana and his band gave a fantastic performance of old favorites in an intimate blues club, allowing all of us fans to see and hear him "up close and personal."Adding to the concert's energy was a running photographic display of beautiful cultural dances, as well as some great photos of Senor Santana's performances going way back. Senor Santana gave it his all!

  • Legendary, but full of distractions

by MB on 11/19/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

11/16/25: Seeing a legend like Santana was of course incredible, but I can't help feeling disappointed by the evening. The ticket showed a start time of 7pm, note that is only what time the doors open. You'll stand in a very long line for quite a while before you get into the venue. Then you'll wait inside until about 8.10pm when the band and Santana comes on stage. If you're general admission/standing, know that you'll be packed in like a sardine and I mean that, zero wiggle room. All of that is to be expected if you're familiar with live concerts, however, what was not expected were the on-stage distractions over Carlos's health and the short performance. Throughout the show, crew members frequently came on stage to adjust Santana’s position, and at one point, someone even sat directly behind him for an entire song. Carlos was escorted off stage twice during the set, and once seemingly didn’t want to go so the percussionist came down to escort him. The other band members did solos while Carlos was offstage and the bassist's solo went so long he started playing Ozzy's Iron Man. Carlos himself said at one point that his body is giving out, but that he'll give us all he's got. He's no doubt incredible and I know everyone appreciated him giving us so much, but to pay the amount we did to be distracted by all the commotion and then for the entire show to only last 45 mins max was a let down. In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t opt for the pricier tickets that included a seat or even a table, as I’d have felt even more disappointed by the brief and chaotic show.

  • Great show - wish they played a little longer

by Big D on 11/19/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Carlos sounded great, his band was really good. Carlos is a living legend. I know Carlos was dealing with health issues, but I wish they could have played longer. I was surprised he didn't let his band warm up with 2-3 songs, then come out on stage. If they did that and maybe put a light intermission in there, that would have gave Carlos more time to rest and made the show longer. But they came out balls to wall. They came out swinging. It was worth every penny, I'd go see them again tomorrow if I could.

  • A sad show

by Sad Santana HOB Vegas show on 11/19/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

I went with high hopes of listening to very good music, as Santana has always delivered, instead we saw this music icon clearly struggling with health issues and trying to give us a good show while almost not being able to walk. The show lasted around 55 minutes, and the songs played were done with excellence. The band is great, and Santana still plays a mean guitar, but Sunday he was not in condition to play to his standards. A very sad show, indeed.

  • Not good

by PJ on 11/19/25House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

Unfortunately, Santana is old and ill. He could not last through the concert, it seemed like he may collapse a couple of times. The concert was shortened by almost an hour.
