Saw Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack this past weekend and enjoyed it thoroughly. The music was fantastic, the singing was excellent and the comedy hilarious. It was obvious that these reenactors really enjoy each other and can handle unrehearsed one liners. They work great with the audience and it was just plain fun. I would go and see them again I liked it that much
The show was totaling amazing from start to finish. If you closed your eyes you would swear they were the original guys. Everyone was Great ! Joey Bishop truly made the show with his quick wit & humor. I would highly recommend the show & definitely go see it again. Thanks for the trip bad in time to a Great Era !!!
Awesome show. unforgettable. MUST SEE!!!! Joey Bishop comedy supurb!!
Sorry to say I was disappointed by the show. The Sinatra impersonator was very good, and "Joey Bishop" was funny. However, "Sammy Davis" was so-so, and "Dean Martin" was not at all good; they lapsed into caricatures of their characters, but went in and out, so it was pretty jarring. And Sandy Hackett's grand-daughter was very cute, but her routine got old very quickly and didn't add anything positive to the show. I would have rather seen comic impersonators like Billy Crystal and Joe Piscopo do their things, clearly as impersonators, than these guys.
Overall the show was very entertaining.....the Performers' that portrayed: Dean, Sammy and of Course Joey Bishop...were incredible.... "Unfortunately"...."Frank"...not so good.....he was disappointing,,...not as polished as the other Entertainers....
Expected this to be replica of that night at the Sands when all that spontaneous madness took place - but that was not this show. However, thanks to the humor of Buddy Hackett's son, Sandy, this was a funny and fun evening. The fellows who prtrayed Sionatra and Dean martin actually sounded somewhat like them, but the Sammy Davis performer did not. Music was pretty good - and performers were all good., but it was Sandy Hackett;s comedy that made this night outstanding. This was a light and funny night.
We had a really fun evening. They truely brought back memories of thr Rat Pack. Sandy Hackett (Buddiy Hacketts) son was extremely funny as Joey Bishop. The person who was Sammy Davis Junior had a great voice and really portrayed him perfectly as di the entertainers who portrayed Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. It was fun.
This was a fun evening of entertainment, with songs and jokes that we all enjoyed. Our teenage boys didn't know what to expect but they both really enjoyed it.
What a great show. Felt like I was in Vegas in the 1960's.
the show iteself was wonderful. the singers who were representing Sammy Davis Jr and Frank Sinatra were excellent. and the female singer who sang with Frank had an awesome voice. Brought back many memories of my grandma who adored Dean Martin. spent many days with her listening to and singing along to his records my only complaint is the seating. we were packed in like sardines in folding chair all sitting on floor level. if anyone taller than you was in front of you, you had to bob and weave to see the show. at $60 per ticket, i thought the seats could have been better.
Best show I have seen in a long time. Their singing was good and did sound somewhat close to the real performers. What really made the show was they captured the "spirit" of the Rat Pack and their mannerisms. The comedy was excellent! I laughed out loud at almost everything. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the jokes were off color and not politically correct but also done tastefully and packed a lot of punch! They also did some research on the area before the show as they included some local color into their comedy routine and improv with the audience.
WOULD DEFINITLY GO AGAIN ! GREAT SHOW ! EVERYONE WAS GREAT CANT WAIT TO TAKE OTHER PEOPLE I KN OW TO THE SHOW WHEN IT COMES BACK
My wife and I really didn't enjoy tis show. I can't say much more other than it reminded me of a high school play. A bad one.
One of the best shows I have seen. Very enjoyable. Recently saw Lion King and this was as good if not better
Very entertaining! Comedy was Hilarius! Music Fantastic! Awesome Show!
Show was good. It lacked some spark because this version didn't have a Marilyn Monroe character in the troupe. The sound could have been much better.
The show was actually better than we anticipated. The impersonators were very good, with Sammy Davis Jr. (Louie Velez) being totally outstanding! The jokes by Joey Bishop (Sandy Hackett) were hysterical and a nice compliment to the music.
This is the third time that I have seen the Rat Pack over the course of about 7 years. Twice in Vegas and once in Ft. Lauderdale. The program is always different. The first time was terrific and it has gone downhill from there. With respect to the Ft. Lauderdale version the venue was great, the subject matter was great. The performances fell short in my estimation. However, Sandy Hackett was just teriffic and pretty much saved the show for me. He has a great sense of timing and delivery of jokes and is great as a standup. The other performers where not that great. First of all, the songs that I would attribute to Frank, Sammy and Dean were not sung. They were songs that they did sing but not ones that I would say they "owned". Secondly, the impersonations were not on the mark. Would I see it again..probably not.
A must see for all Rat Pack Fans. Each performer was fantastic!
