    SANDRA WAS BRILLIANT... AND LOVING.

by RFKIV on 2/18/14Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I've always enjoyed this artist's take on life with her one of a kind wit and fearless audacity to speak her highly intelligent mind. She makes me laugh more than any other performer and I perfectly relate to pretty much all of it. She has the winning cross personality of an everyday woman and untouchable Diva, but ultimately her humanity is what shines brightest. Her musical arrangements round out the comedy and performance art with completely original renditions of retros to current pop songs, usually with a strong dose of irony and always presented with complete devotion. She is a Goddess... With her feet firmly planted on the Earth.

    tempered but vibrant

Having a daughter may have softened her harsh edges but she is still as entertaining as ever. Go see her.

    Sandra Bernhard was perfection.

by Sclevy on 2/18/14Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

Took my 13-year old daughter, not knowing if she would "get" Sandra Bernhard's type of comedy. Well she loved it and even got to meet her after the show. It was really terrific. Enjoyable from start to finish.

A Sandra Bernhard Concert is a Spectacle!

by IDOLFAN1 on 2/18/14Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

At top form Sandra Bernhard wowed the packed Royce Hall last Saturday night. An intimate evening sharing stories about her family interspersed with great skits and singing. Sandra conjured-up an assorted variety of notables ranging from Meryl Streep to Miley Cyrus at a moment's notice. Glued to their seats, Sandra keeps the audience entranced wondering what she is going to say next. Outstanding vocals from the great Ms. B with a kick-ass rock band and violin soloist to back her up. You must see this to believe it. Its like going to a dozen Broadway shows in one!

Sandy is fresh and wickedly hilarious as always!

by Badgerrr on 2/18/14Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I've seen her in concert many times, and this show does not disappoint. Her new, more personal material was hilarious. Her musicians (especially the violinist) were excellent.

Being a big fan , I was more than excited to see this show. Unfortunately, this was a very very awkward evening. Not sure if it was a disconnect with her audience or just an "off" night but I actually contemplated leaving mid-show

Sandra Bernhard --so awful we walked out.

    by Comedyfan9 on 10/14/13Carolina Theatre - Durham

I have never walked out on a show before seeing Sandra Bernhard. I love and appreciate a broad spectrum of entertainers. Some of them witty, some dark, some with incisive social and political commentary, some who are rather simple and silly--what they all share is talent and a modicum of respect for their audience. Sandra Bernhard was not funny, not wry, not even amusing. She simply revealed herself as a narcissist only interested in affirming herself in her poised pathetic self. I have never written a negative review begire--even mediocre entettainers don't warrant that. Bleh.

    Sandra Bernhard

by MrsTray on 3/7/13Howard Theatre - Washington

We saw Sandra a few years ago with Cindy Lauper and she was gut busting funny, disappointed this time, just wasn't very funny. Howard theater was gorgous and the staff was fantastic. Disappointed with the menu as we looked on line and saw a full entre selection but they offered smaller fares which our server told us there was a change in the kitchen with a new chef and things have changed.

She's still got it. Sandra Bernhard's finger is still squarely on the pulse of America.

She gets better and better! I first saw her in the 90s when I lived in NYC, then again in Miami, and now in DC. She is like a vist from a good friend. Come back to DC soon Sandra!

some never change they just dissolve with age...

by xoxoxo12 on 9/3/12Paramount Theatre - Asbury Park

comedians should not use note cards and not manage to read them. comedians should be actually funny. this woman used to be. now she is not funny (unless her uncombed hair was meant to be a joke) and sings better than she makes humor. which doesnt say much. she should be now limited to appearing on isle of lesbos boatline only. she and madonna should have a television show about fifty year olds who still think they are who the were, and look as they did when they were 30. change is good.

    Time to retire, Sandra.

by Nettsy on 7/17/12The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel - Atlantic City

We got up and left early (4 people). There was nothing funny in Ms. Bernhard's performance. She was rambling, not making sense and....she was reading from notes. We almost had to wonder if she was under the influence of ?????(whatever). A complete waste of my hard earned money.

    it left me speechless

by Davidthecomposer on 6/11/11Town Hall - New York

I did not know in advance who the special guests were going to be. So seeing Liza Minnelli and Rufus Wainwright in person for the first time was a total surprise. And I purchased Sandra's new Cd and got her autograph afterward. The evening would have been worthwhile for these things alone. But those were the fringe benefits. Sandra has a unique style of humor. And all of the music was excellent. One quibble: I was sitting in the balcony, and I missed a few of Sandra's words. I suspect a problem with the sound system.
