    Awesome and Inspiring

by EdFelton on 11/8/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

I was totally inspired by this production. The message was unswerving and on point. Once I realized that the production included students from Howard University, I really absorbed the passion and hope for our future. Great Job

    Great fun!

by bonniehazel on 11/2/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

I saw this play on 10/31/10 and took my Mother and family. My Mom was in tears from laughing so hard. My niece is a tough nut to crack but she was laughing as well. The songs were wonderful and most of the cast could really sing. Some of the script could have explained things more clearly about the two delivery guys but overall the play was entertaining.

    Good Singing

    by ChurchGirl01 on 11/2/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

Too much of a repeat of others gospel plays, but if you like good singing it will electrify your spirit.

First Class production!! A MUST SEE!!

by JJCFMaryland on 11/1/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

This play was such a top notch production! It was SO funny and the story line was wonderful.....very realistic/tangible. The play needs to be advertised/marketed better, so that the word gets out about it! We are encouraging everyone we know to go see it! The actors were phenominal and the singing superb! Especially John McClure!! He has the voice of an Angel!! I wish I could do more to get the word out about this play.....YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!!

    God has a funny bone

by servinupsmiles on 11/1/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

To say that God does not have a funny bone would be wrong after experiencing revival service at East Piney Grove Baptist Church! Heaven knows each character WAS a character. Flawed and funny. Passionate and powerful. This play had me laughing at my church upbringing and identifying with the POV of everyones character. Although some more than others. For those of us with traditional Southren Baptist upbringing this will definately ring "true" in your spirit. The resolution gives you hope for the future of church. I understand why so many people grew up and away from church now. The point in a round about way should have been that its Not about the people or the place BUT The Creator who looks down on us in love and I am sure laughs just a little. If only to keep from crying.

    To Long

by msjrobin on 11/1/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

Play was nice but was to long. The seats at the Lincoln was very uncomfortable that made it much to long also. It would have been nicer to have a few more good songs without the one's in the beginning. The opera singer was over played. The two moving guys was over played.

    Santified

    by 123Playgoer on 10/26/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

The play was just ok, not worth the $67 I was charged. The venue was a little ghetto, the music was louder than the singers and it took a while to get to the climax. There was really nothing to hold my attention. It should have been a $25 charge instead.

    Sanctified was one a kind

by MrTeeRedd on 10/25/10Lincoln Theatre - Washington

We definitely should see more of these African American plays especially dedicated to what's going on with the churches these days.
